My Sister in law will be visiting us from Texas on her winter break it’s her first time back in Oregon since she was young. She is 21 now though and we were hoping The Big Dirty was going to be hosting another Drag New Year’s Eve party for us to go to. It would be her first drag show and her first time being able to drink with everyone and we were stoked.
Unfortunately The Big Dirty just announced they’re closing their doors. It will be before she visits as they’re closing mid-December. Does anyone know of any good Drag shows or brunches that will be happening from like the Dec. 29th-Jan 3rd? Doesn’t necessarily have to be in the Eugene area but we always love supporting our local Queens here. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! My husband hasn’t got to see his sister in over 5 years so we’re trying to make the most of it!

Seriously, what is their CEO thinking? Removing a staple item many of us have enjoyed for over 25-30 years???? Like many of you, I'm struggling through this shitshow of a life on earth and my daily cold brew with toffee nut got me through many bad days from 1999 when I first entered a Starbucks.. I know I'm not alone. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not the end of the world, but MY GOD, life is shitty enough. Do they have to take away our ONE consolation each morning?

I know this is anything but a conventional place to be looking for a spouse but I want to give this a try! Let's start of with some trivial stuff about me,just to give you an idea what I look like (not opposed to sharing a selfie at all) and what my interests are.
-General info- I'm 185cm tall, very lean. I'm also very (very) pale and have black wavy hair. Very dark eyes too. I'm of Mediterranean descent but born in Germany. I'm afraid I have to confess I'm a huge nerd, although I don't look the part^ I'm very passionate about literature, both reading and writing. I also like cinema a lot. I'm into cozy gaming and love trading card games. Apart from that I'm very interested in sports, I used to be a swimmer and played basketball for several years. Nowadays I occasionally work out, however I am very cautious of what I eat. Besides that I'm a huge perfume enthusiast and take good care of myself. Non smokedrinkedrug User. I currently work part-time in a corporate job and I'm looking to make some big steps career-wise soon insha Allah. I'm also fluent in four languages^
-Religious compatibility- I come from a Sunni background. My family is practising, as am I. It's important for me to let you know that despite that, my parents are very chill and not imposing/intrusive about religious matters because they trust me, and hopefully I can achieve that level of trust with my future wife. Another thing worth mentioning is that my family does not care about nationalities, which is rare for my cultural background. I'm also very welcoming of reverts/converts and so is my family. Aligning religiously is far more important than a shared national identity. If you have any further questions regarding that I will gladly answer them privately. I absolutely do not mind having your Wali looking over our chat, I want you to know I'm serious about this after all.
-Who I'm looking for- We all have certain preferences don't we? Some of us are afraid we might come off as superficial if we state them, I'm not one of them however. I've come to realize that I feel more attracted to slightly taller (think 170+) women. Which some friends have told me is odd? Apart from that I also tend to like darker hair more, I guess it just feels more familiar. And that's it when it comes to physical attributes. It would be great if we have shared interests, however I think shared values are more important. I like to live a more reserved life, quiet and peaceful. Besides this app I don't have any social media and I'm picky with the people I would call my friends. I would love to have children one day, just not tomorrow you know? One final thing I want to mention is that I do not have a previous relationship (and everything that comes with it), and would strongly prefer if it was the case for you too, you don't have to tell me of course but it's absolutely something you should keep in mind and consider before reaching out.
There is SO much more I could tell you but I tried to focus on stuff that would help you determine beforehand if it's even worth reaching out. Please do not reach out if you live outside of Germany and aren't willing to relocate, it would be a waste of time for everyone involved. It's a huge plus if you live in or close to NRW, as a potential meeting (preferably including a Mahram) would be much easier. If I've piqued your interest please feel free to ask me anything!
