Hello and TIA for anyone reading. Needed to get some feelings off my chest and also see if anyone can give any advice.
Background: I'm 37 y/o female with no kids. Never been interested in kids/babies and never dreamed of having them. I have a job I love and want to progress further in, love my independence, love travelling and spend several weeks a year volunteering abroad. I have a wonderful boyfriend and we're happy.
Lately I've just found myself constantly thinking about whether I should have a child to the extent it's driving me crazy. I know it's definitely been triggered by lots of people around me having babies. I just feel like if everyone else is doing this, am I missing out on what could be the most rewarding thing ever (as I keep reading), have I missed the memo? Honestly if most of my friends were child free, I don't think I'd be thinking about it. My boyfriend is also undecided but thinks probably doesn't want them, so there is no pressure from him, or my own parents or friends I might add. Is this just FOMO?
If I had to give up lots of my current life eg travelling & volunteering I think I would be depressed, but then I see stories about families who still do all of these things, so it doesn't seem like it has to be 1 or the other.
Please tell me if I sound ridiculous or stupid as currently I just feel frozen in fear! Is this just a phase? Has anyone been through this?

Napagod na ako e chat siya at confront parang hinayaan ko nalang, then nagsabi siya sa gc na pagod na pagod daw siya kagabi, then yung isang friend ko ang kinakausap niya imbes na ako na nagtadtad ng call sa kanya at chat at kami ang may lakad. napapaisip ako if ano mali sken kahit super busy ako lately bigla siya napasok sa utak ko. Masyado na ba ako sensitive or mabait lang talaga ako. Ang hirap mag healed sa bagay na wala kang kasalanan even 4 na beses na niya ginawa to sken. Ngayon ko lang pinaglagpas na wag e confront sana kahit sorry man lang inuna niya e.

For context, i’m getting the Kyleena IUD 1 week from today. I was on the combination pill (Hailey Fe) for 3 1/2 years and i was recently forced to stop by my gynecologist due to migraine with aura and increased risk of stroke? Anyways, i have always been BEYOND against any other form of birth control besides the pill due to me always knowing that if i took it at the same exact time each day, there was no way i’d get pregnant without condoms. However, with the IUD, there’s a chance it can shift and you not know and before you know it you’re pregnant. How likely is it that this is going to happen? Will i know if it moves? I understand i can check the strings to see if they’re still in the same place, however, most women on here claim they’ve never been able to feel their strings to begin with. My only reason for being on birth control is to 100% prevent pregnancy without needing to use condoms. Am i going to have to use condoms anyway with an IUD due to the risk of it moving out of place? Both my partner and I find condoms very much so NOT enjoyable and i’ve really loved these last 3 1/2 years of not needing to use them.

Howdy folks, I recently received two emails saying I was approved for a Freedom Unlimited credit card, which I did not apply for. They provided the last 4 digits of the card, my name, and advised it would be arriving in 5-7 business days. I contacted Chase that day and advised them I did not open a credit line and they said there was no record of it. I did all the necessary steps to protect my account(s), change passwords, freeze my credit, etc.
I have now received another email in regard to the credit line confirming my preferred paperless settings.
I am aware what to look for in phishing/scam emails and can confirm these are FROM Chase. Customer service/fraud department have been unhelpful. Anyone ever receive these emails and/or have advise how to address this?

tl;dr: 75-90% symptoms reduction from a single meal of veggies cooked in margarine.
So it all began in 2019 when I bought some cheap whey from the n°1 seller in Europe (gym rats will know the one). I instantly had symptoms: really sticky D that seemed to never end and for the first time in my life, heartburns. I thought it was heart-related as it runs in my family but no, it really was from the stomach. When I noticed the culprit I had the stupid idea alike a sunk cost fallacy: "I paid for it I'll finish it, it will all go back to normal when I stop". Yeah, right...
Needless to say it did not. I thought that it was something in my eating habits that was the cause of the persistent malabsorption I had (no pain except with excess fat). So I tried to eliminate one potential trigger at a time, but when it did not change, I put it back. I had absolutely zero knowledge of FODMAPS so I couldn't guess there were several triggers that I needed to eliminate. My symptoms when "sick" were fatigue, irritability, mild D. Rarely pain, mostly with fats or milky products. I also had something I'd call "hyper-adaptivity" of my guts: one probiotic / supplement / super aliment was OK and helped for 1-2 weeks and then BANG! It had the opposite effect. Infuriating!
So here we are 2024, 5 years in. I lost all hope of being able to recover except from an exceptional discovery (hello IBSResearch ). I still ate some food that were mild triggers and one of them was: frozen veggies mix. I knew it wasn't "that bad" for me, but sometimes I ended up quite sick anyway. I finally understood it was directly linked to the amount of oil I put in the pan so I tried to switch from olive oil to butter. Butter worked 2-3 times but then I got sick again - day ruined. So while shopping I remembered that my mother always used margarine to cook and I never ever used it since I left the familial home... Why not ?
Why not indeed. First try - first win. Since I cooked with it I had 1 bout of D in 3 weeks (was more like 4/weeks before) - and I know why (tried my luck a bit too much). Worsts symptoms today are that I am a bit gassy, and I need to go 3-5 times a day (at most) but it always end up with an almost perfect sheet. I'll take it! Coming from those sticky snakes that seems to never end or the good ol' explosion.
AMA, but I think I explained my story quite clearly. I'm trying to slowly reintroduce trigger foods. Final boss would be red onions: I used to eat a lot before the cataclysm. I hope it'll go well!

2024.11.28 19:49 HeWhoHasSeenFootage The worst part about the modern adpocolypse is that its hard to listen to relaxing videos to study or sleep to.
I have trouble getting to sleep without background noise, so for years I’ve been listening to youtube videos in the background. But now, it seems like there’s a double ad every 5-10 minutes. These ads are just loud and distracting. Especially since I live in Australia, half of my ads are from gambling websites. Its hard to go to sleep when I keep hearing “GAMBLING GAMBLING SPORTS GAMBLING MONEY BEER GAMBLING”. The worst part, however, is the length of some of these ads. From 3 minute ads about a shitty mobile game to a FIFTEEN MINUTE snippet from a gambling podcast, this shit is infuriating. So I can’t even ignore them for 15 seconds and keep sleeping, I have to grab my phone and turn them off every time.
I’ve mostly switched over to Spotify Premium, but its a shame because it doesn’t have all the content Youtube has. But anything to escape those godforsaken ads
