Hey all,
Bought the razor base and floss container from Public Goods in an effort to be more sustainable. However, purchasing refills from the site is no longer the most cost-effective option.
Anyone have suggestions for other brands’ razorblades which would fit the public goods base? Appreciate it.

Today I had a group interview with multiple candidates and I was pretty sure I was on the top 3 since I and two others had previous experience. There was indication for a second interview and I waited for confirmation. Guess what, I was rejected from the second interview and I am pretty mad about it cause I saw all the interviews and It was a bit obvious who had more chances to be called. I was so confused and asked what I did wrong and how can I get better. Got ghosted and probably lost the job for someone without any experience on the field. But the weirdest thing is that I wasn’t even called for a second interview. That left me puzzled.
Job searching after many years of work is hell. Everyone seems to think Im overqualified or something. I’m seriously thinking about sending my CV without any recent experience.

M18 here, turning 19 next month. Just yet, I ate an entire can of ravioli followed by seven (7!) reasonably big chocolate chip cookies combined with half a jar of peanut butter.
But, I know I won't get fat because I shoved my fingers down my throat and vomited it all back up within a minute after my last swallow. I generally eat over 5000 calories a day. 3000 on my best days, over 10.000 on my worst ones. I yet never get heavier than 130 lbs at 5'9". I'm ravenously hungry, all the time. This led me to become overweight as a child, until I discovered this "lifehack". I currently get complimented on my body a lot at the gym actually. Tiny waist, full ab definition, wide lats, you know the deal.
I'm well aware my choices aren't ideal. No one in my life knows about them. My girlfriend thinks I have some kind of digestive disorder; she has heard me vomit after dinner a few times. I often almost faint getting out of bed in the morning. My throat always hurts a little when I swallow. The stomach cramps aren't ideal. But I'm probably healthier than one of those fuckers on My 600 Lb Life.
That's it for today's rant.

I’m just not sure how people can function so happily in a world where so much feels like it’s falling apart here in the U.S..
I work as a barista, and today I ended up crying while cleaning the bathroom at work. There’s this customer who loves to brag about Trump winning, and it just broke me.
It’s not about winning or losing sides. To me, it’s about voting with morality or blindly voting into oblivion.
I feel so isolated. Either people are holding it together somehow (and I’m so tired of trying to do that), or they’re completely oblivious to what’s happening around them. They’re either privileged or clinging to biased media, holding onto some vague “pro” like economic improvement, while ignoring the very real harm being done. It’s as if they don’t care that their own rights—or the rights of their partner, wife, girlfriend, friend, or any person with a uterus—are being stripped away.
Meanwhile, I’m at home trying to budget for surgical sterilization while everyone else seems to just be going on with their lives. I don’t see protests or strikes in my area, and it feels like nobody is fighting back.
I wake up angry and on the verge of tears every day, and that’s not who I usually am. I told my fiancé today: “You know you voted wrong if the only emotion you’d feel if your candidate lost is anger, while the other side feels fear for their very lives when your candidate wins.”
If anyone can share resources or ideas for activism, I’d really appreciate it. I need something to help channel this frustration into action. I know it would help me—and others—feel like we’re at least doing something to push back against this mess.

2024.11.28 19:50 1-800-pain_208 Help Troubleshooting Pioneer VSX receiver (only one channel works)
I have a Pioneer VSX-1016TXV receiver. It’s been a pretty good receiver. However the right speaker channel has stopped working. It seems all the other inputs are not working either as I’ve tried them all with speakers I know are good. The only channel that is working is the left speaker one. With regular operation & normal sound coming from it.
What would be the most likely culprit? A certain fuse? A blown capacitor?
I know the speakers are good as they all work on the left hookup. The speaker wire is all connected properly and in good order. I have a voltmeter, soldering iron, tools, & determination to try to figure this out and get all channels working as it used to. Nothing drastic was done either, not playing too loud, connecting more speakers, spill damage or anything.
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
