I'm a self employed musician (I also have a full time job) I registered with HMRC last November so I believe I have to do my first tax return by the end of January.
As previously mentioned, it's not my main job but since I started trading last November I have taken in about £5k into the account. I receive fees on behalf of some of the band gigs I play and pay the rest of the band from this account too. Combined with buying items needed for the job (strings, equipment) I have paid out around £3k of that.
- With the equipment I have bought, does it need to go under Capital Allowance?
- With the fees I have received for gigs, I have split this with the other members, as this isn't income do I only pay tax on the amount I have left over?

hi all,
so I have an annoying issue that I need your help with
i have multiple macbooks that are connected to peripherals via a "dock" (caldigit)
my keyboard is connected to the dock, as is my monitor, trackpad, etc.
i only use 1 macbook at a time, and when i want to switch machines, i disconnect the usb-c cable (between the dock and the macbook) at the macbook, then reconnect it to the other macbook.
when I do this switch, my keyboard stops working, and I need to unplug the keyboard from the dock and plug it back in for it to start working.
it would be really nice if i didn’t have to do this every time i switched machines, because i do that quite often.

 | Hey all, just purchased a 2019 RAV4 and I can’t for the life of me figure out what this button does. The sales guy didn’t know either (purchased from Toyota used certified) and it’s not in the manual. I press it and no lights go on or off/no actions seem to happen. I thought it was related to an alarm system as my last RAV had something similar, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. It’s mounted in the set of buttons to the bottom left of the steering wheel. I understand issues happen with live-service games, especially after an expansion and patch. By all means, take whatever time you need to fix the root cause of the whatever, but PLEASE give us some kind of in-game feedback so we know when we need to restart the game. I'm going insane trying to decide whether my opponent is thinking about a critical turn or if I need to restart the game.
I'm keeping the client open while I play so I can rapidly rejoin if need be - please meet me halfway.
