I'm planning on gifting my husband an entirely new battlestation (his is about 15 years old) and I'm coming here to start with a desk. Right now he's using the 142cm/55" MICKE desk, but he complains it's too shallow and the back panel doesn't allow for monitor mounts unless you get extremely creative like sawing holes through the back, etc. Also it only has two shallow drawers and so all his extra stuff is either on his desk or in an awkward drawer unit off to the side.
I'm looking to get him an ALEX desk for more convenient drawers/storage but I'm not sure what top to get. I've heard the LAGKAPTEN crimps under the pressure/weight of a monitor mount, and I'm wanting to mount his ASUS ROG PG348Q to it, but I've also heard the KARLBY/SALJAN can bend/flex over time. I think keeping the desk at 142cm/55" is sufficient.
Conversely if anyone can recommend a good clamp with a wide base to reduce/limit crushing the LAGKAPTEN surface then that would be awesome too.
I'm comfortable using power drills and the like but I'd like to avoid cutting/sawing if possible.

After a certain update of SteamVR, it removed the darkening effect around the menu, and the new menu was projected into the game like a cinema screen. I really liked this new menu, and it also solved the problem that whenever I switching the menu my game gets lagging. Recently,I don't why, my menu has reverted back to the old one,and I even gets lower FPS than the old one

Been on Tamoxifen for 3 years and because of four months of INTENSE itching, my Oncologist allowed me to come off of it. No more itching. He pooped pooed me thinking it WAS related. I don't want to start it again. I cannot have another 4 months like I had. I have lived with a lot of things in my life and this was by far one of the worst. I had a bone that died due to keinbocks disease back in the '90s. I was on fosamax for 10 years until they took it off the market because it was making my problems were. My doctor did say there were alternatives out there but appears like they all almost association's.
I hate medicine. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
