2024.11.28 20:38 Kestrel-Transmission What computer rigs are everyone running?
YT did it's thing and randomly gave me an Isle content creator video, I loved what I saw and astonished this passed me by for nearly 9 years, then saw it was on a Steam sale for £10 and thought "sure!"
The game defaulted to ultra graphics, which I was immediately suspicious of given this is a (gorgeous) foliage heavy Unreal Engine game, and sure enough it gave me a sustained 13 FPS stood still in a forest - not ideal!
I reduced everything to potato quality, lowest it will go except the texture resolution seeing how that makes the game physically unplayable), and I just about get 48-58 FPS. I dread to imagine what a 2nd or 3rd player on my screen would do to my fps.
I'll put my hands up and say I don't exactly have a super computer by modern standards. But the recommended hardware is a gtx 1070, and I have a gtx 1080, hexa-core 3.4Ghz cpu and 16GB of memory, and I thought I'd do better than what I'm getting.
I'm acutely aware I need to upgrade my hardware, but the question now is how hard do I have to go to get a minimum stable 60fps on "high" settings? I'm going to forget "ultra" >60fps because if recommended settings = minimal graphics, then I fear the inverse would involve rash financial decisions.

Hi! I’m looking to get into photography as a hobby and am currently deciding on my first camera. I’ve been contemplating between the RX100 IV and the RX100 V. From what I understand, the biggest difference between the two models is that the autofocus is significantly better on the RX100 V. Since I’m primarily interested in photography rather than video, I’m wondering if this difference justifies the additional cost of the RX100 V, or if the RX100 IV would be sufficient for my needs. I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

 | I am in a pickle. I have 1 t4 and a number of t3 but many still t2. I have about 20k in t3 materials and about 5k in t4. Not sure if i should choose the t3 path to get the premium/native t2?characters up or concentrate on either dr stranger or wolverine t4. The villagers got scammed and got immortality in the form of soulless monsters. Martin might have also gotten scammed and got time-traveling, but his space-travelling was limited since he was chained in that tower (and he was torturer by bugs or whatever).
…or maybe he’s just reincarnated Fatima, who knows.

2024.11.28 20:38 AbsAndAssAppreciator Cancelled last second due to a panic attack.
Well I tried really hard… I got medicine, I downloaded some shows, I got noise cancelling headphones… got on the plane… even with very potent medicine I was still so terrified. I just gave up :(. I couldn’t handle the thought of doing this for 12 hours. If it was shorter I think I could’ve done it. I’m so disappointed in myself it was going to be a great vacation and I gave up after trying so hard 🤦♀️.
I want to get over this fear so badly. I want to fly again but I don’t wanna do the same thing. I don’t want this to be the last time I fly. Is there anything else possible I can do to help myself succeed?

I've bought several companion statues during previous runs, but I've noticed on my most recent two runs that you can only buy a statue of yourself.
