I was watching youtuber Spectrum's video where he ranks the French kings. Number #5 is Charles VII. Spectrum list Charles's many achievements and then said those accomplishments are amazing because "he achieved this all the while by clearly not having a personality predisposed towards being a leader. Charles had to gradually grow into one."
That really interested me. I was wondering if you can think of any other Medieval monarchs who also fit that description.

I bought a MLS-10R from Melisa Mobility today, as my needs have progressed since receiving my custom power assist chair that requires functional arms to steereverse. I struggle a lot with muscle weakness and pain in my neck/upper back, so l worry about the corners of the frame up top not being supportive or comfortable. For chair is 19 inches in width, and the height in not listed as far as l'm aware. My second issue is I have hip dysplasia, so my legs are set far apart in my manual chair now. My feet fall off often as the foot plate isn't wide enough for how my hips are spread. Is there an accessory or some way to add onto the foot rest? I have tried one of the resistance bands from PT for my feet but where my knees sit so far apart, my feet swayed and fell out of the dip in the band. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Let me be the first to wish you a happy thanksgiving.
Final game of the season this Saturday. Cougs open as 18.5 point favorites but however the line has changed to 17.
Wyoming has had a rough year. 2-9 record with their two wins against (gulp) New Mexico, and Air Force. In that win versus New Mexico, their Qb Svoboda had over 340 yards passing and 3 touchdowns and won by 4 points. Wyoming also kept it close with Boise State last weekend.
In terms of statistics, Wyoming is one of the best third down defenses in the country holding opponents to just 28% conversion rating (5th), and on offense they are honestly not bad at converting on 4th (47th) and have been able to come up with points in the redzone (36th). Based on their stats they look like the way are primarily a rush first team, something to keep an eye out.
As much as I love posting these statistics just to give people an idea of what we are going into, it hasn’t mattered much these past two weeks. The Cougs’ defense (and I can’t stress this enough) needs to come out strong and not let up. I think this team desperately needed a home game to finish out the year and it will come this weekend. We need to get out of long third down situations and convert early and get in the redzone because statistically, they can’t defend in the redzone.
Thoughts? Let’s just fucking win lmao. This team could’ve easily been a 10-11 win team but what can you do. Terrible coaching the past couple weeks, need to clean it up especially if we get a solid bowl game to end the year.

2024.11.28 20:40 hannberry27 Week 48: Same Latitude - Mooncakes (Beijing)

My current city shares latitude with Beijing, so I borrowed a friend's mooncake mold and finally made the titular mooncakes from Kristina Cho's "Mooncakes and Milk Bread."
The baked mooncake is filled with homemade red bean paste and salted egg yolk. The snowskin mooncakes (colorful) are made from glutinous rice flour and starch, so they're a lot more like mochi and I filled them with an extra thick matcha custard.
It was a little touch and go, and my baked mooncakes have some cracks whereas my snowskin mooncakes are a bit lumpy, but I'm happy with them!
(I didn't get into regional variations of mooncakes since I always intended to use my cookbook version, so this may not be representative of Beijing-specific mooncakes).

As the title states, I was about to leave the parking lot (it was completely dark), drove backwards at a relatively slow speed since I couldn‘t really see back there and then the reverse-warning „peep“ came on a millisecond before I already hit the post. I mostly don‘t respond to the warning because it very often makes the sound without anything beeinf behind me - by far. Well now obviously I will need to count the coins… I will bring my car to the mechanic in the next days but are there any estimates in how much I will have to pay? I don‘t need it to be back in the same colour and everything - just functional to be able to get the official documents to drive on the road :)
