I am a unicorn here that was enrolled in Extended/Graduated and in June applied for SAVE before the train went off the tracks. I have been on a forbearance since through Mohela while this has been under review.
I reapplied on November 8 and chose “lowest payment option”, which is currently under review.
I see some posts about success with getting onto a 60-day forbearance which will count toward PSLF while attempting to go to an IBR specific payment plan.
I’m at 119 eligible months of payments out of 120 certified, and looking for the best option to cross the finish line ASAP. All months count as eligible until September, 2024. October and November are not being recognized as of last ECF from earlier this week.
I received the same letter from Mohela the day after I applied for the most recent IDIBR plan on November 9, stating I was going to be placed on a 60-day forbearance that will NOT count toward PSLF.
Is it bad if I apply for IBR specifically in hopes I can get a forbearance that counts toward PSLF?
Like everyone on the doorstep, I’m looking for any means to get this final month to qualify.

Im a pc player and i have a question about fullscreen exclusive vs fullscreen borderless. Ive heard people say that fullscreen exclusive is better and im wondering why that is. My game feels better on borderless. Can someone please explain the difference? I'm having a semi detached amused reaction to this discovery. For full disclosure, we have a wonderful marriage, no current problems, and I am not in the habit of snooping. This is the first time I've opened one of her dresser drawers in like ten years. We talk about our finances freely and we 'meet' once a week to pay bills and investment plan\cash flow together. It is the most enjoyable part of our week in many ways.
She will sometimes buy bulk candy by the bag and leave one bag out on the kitchen island and 'hide' the rest in a cabinet above the washer\dryer. This is hardly a true hiding place because it is not a secret. It's more of an out of the way place. A few weeks ago as we were unloading groceries, I saw she bought a bag of Reeses peanut butter cups. I never saw the bag again, and after checking in the pantry above the washer\dryer (not there) I asked her what happened to them. She replied that she had a new hiding place and that I'd never find it. I joked that I could always find hidden chocolate, but in reality I never bothered looking for her stash. Weeks pass, and today she randomly out of the blue tossed me a fun sized Nestle crunch. I asked her where that came from and she said it was from her secret place. I noticed she had just came out of our bedroom so I guessed it was somewhere there. I thought of the classic Sherlock Holmes hiding in plain site bit, and opened her sock drawer thinking that it couldn't be so obvious. No candy, but I found a stack of mostly $100s and $50s totaling $1500!
I had no idea that money was there and I think I know where it came from but I'm not sure. Lots of family over today so I won't get to ask her about it until tonight or tomorrow. Kinda weird, right?
