2024.11.29 00:40 Wide-Silver-4448 2004 VW Jetta 2.0 overheating
 | Trying to be as informative as I can in this post Iâm no mechanic I work on stuff from time to time. Got a 2004 VW Jetta with the 2.0 in it. Been overheating had a coolant leak for a bit it got worse so I ended up replacing this 3 way coolant flange piece in the first photo where itâs not plugged in. And replaced the green piece (coolant temp sensor). After doing this and replacing a crappy homemade alternator cable that ended up causing the fusible link box to burn out. All that stuff Iâve done and now the car is overheating when it didnât before not sure why maybe the water pump? Radiator fan relay? Looking for any help or guidance would be appreciated. Takes about a 5-10 minute drive before it starts getting too hot for comfort. Doesnât seem like the radiator fan is kicking on as well does if I turn the ac on but I was under the assumption itâd kick on if the car was getting hot? I am not sure if this is related to my personality type or another characteristic about me. Nevertheless, I thought I would post it here to see if it does resonate with other INTJs, since I connect with the INTJ stereotype so well.
I have a weird thing about me, where I can recall each moment in my life where I felt guilt.
Just to give you some examples of how deep this goes:
- When I was 8 years old, my mother gave me a standard tub of grapes to take to school to share with my sister at breaktime at school. She was 2 years above me in another class. Halfway through lunchtime, I realised I had forgotten about her and eaten all the grapes. I told my sister and she looked really sad. _
- When I was 10 years old, a friend caught me trying to steal his Yugioh cards from his coat pocket in the locker room. He remained friends with me still (before moving away.) _
- When I was 13 years old, I was sitting in a classroom. I moved over to another seat and was messing with a friend, making noise. An African girl turned around and said "Why don't you go back to your own seat." and without thought, I instantly responded with "Why don't you go back to Africa." and she said "I would if I could." She was actually the smartest girl in our year too. _
- When I was 15 years old, I was arguing with my mother. She had cooked a meal for me and I was refusing to eat anything, out of defiance. Anyway, I picked up a handful of the beans on the plate and threw it at her. She just stood there in disappointment. (Note that my mother was objectively not a good person, but in this particular moment I was in the wrong.) _
- When I was 21, I savagely berated my then best friend at the time, for looking very unkempt during a night out, which caused us to get rejected from most establishments.
Despite the deplorable acts above, I don't believe I am a bad guy, at least I try not to be (to people I care about anyway).
I am often told I am quite cold and lack empathy. Yet, even thinking about those^ moments now, tears me up and I feel great shame; even the grape example!
So, do any of you distinctly recall guilty moments like this or is it a 'me' problem?

Hey everyone!
Iâm in the process of upgrading my setup to a dual-screen configuration, and Iâd love some advice on picking the right second monitor. My budget is ~500âŹ, but I can spend a little extra if itâs worth it.
Current setup I currently have the BENQ GW2765HT monitor (IPS/27â/1440p/60Hz), which is a good monitor from what I read. My main issue with it that when I watch movies, since I am in a dark room and I donât like to have ambient lighting, the blacks just arenât deep enough. Dark scenes often look washed out, and itâs hard to make out whatâs happening.
What Iâm looking for
- Not curved
- Aspect ratio: 16/9
- Size: 27â to 32â
- Resolution: 1440p/4K
- Panel Type: I donât want an OLED, despite reading the technology has improved Iâm still too afraid of burn-ins. I know the low contrast ratio is a common problem when it comes to IPS panels, so maybe I should look at a VA panel?
- Refresh Rate: anything from 144Hz or higher is fine (I recently read about the changes to AMD FreeSync minimum requirements, so I'd like to avoid anything with lower RR)
- Adaptive Sync: I use an NVIDIA GPU, so G-Sync support (or at least FreeSync) is a nice-to-have, but not a dealbreaker
- Extra features: built-in speakers and/or a USB hub would be a big plus! I donât need a KVM switch.
- Response time/HDR: not a priority for me
