I’m 17 weeks today and have been really lucky and on top of my blood sugars. I generally have 5ish days of really good control then a day of chaos followed by a recovery day. I’ve had a good several days and was really nervous about Thanksgiving…
I didn’t spike higher than 180 (just for maybe 15 minutes) and hanging out at 127 now after a day of snacking, casseroles, and ridiculous desserts! Thanksgiving is historically a bad control day and I’m honestly super proud that I was able to stay on top of it today. Hoping the rest of you had good days and minimal spikes 💙

I (18f) got heartbroken over this guy because we talked for a few months then he essentially said he doesn't have time for me. I spent 4 months trying to get over him. Then he randomly started flirting with me again and we were talking about hooking up (both virgins). We have done a lot of sexting. Then the conversation of dating came up again and he said he can't choose having a girlfriend over school. We stopped flirting and sexting because he realized he was hurting me. I am absolutely heartbroken once again. I still really want to have sex with him because the desires won't go away we teased the idea way too much and it's really hard to not think about it. Part of me feels like it would help me get over him if I got those experiences with him. The other part of me feels like I owe it to myself to not give him that opportunity and not let him into that part of my life when he won't date me. It's well known that EVs require rare earth metals for components such as the motors. Tesla is no exception.
But an important point to note is that Tesla needs to be nice to China to get those parts. Hence, why you never see Elon attack China and why Trump wants to kick out the EV subsidy for now.
If China is upset, then Tesla owners are screwed.
Faulty drive unit? Too bad. China isn't going to provide the parts needed to assembly a new one.
And Tesla not making efforts to minimize the damage of the procurement is to be expected:

Now why did I say Tesla lags behind? Simple, another company already has motors without rare earth metals: BMW’s 5th-Generation Electric Drive System uses current-excited synchronous motors, which are noted for their absence of rare earth metals.

About a week ago, my cat passed away. He passed away from being poisoned by a unknown neighbor. This caused many animals among my neighbors to die but my inside cat (M) is still alive and has been walking around the crate that my outside cat (T) has been in is there anyway I can help my cat's grieving process. This is my first post to this group, and I am just looking for some advice. I (M30) just received news today that my brother (28) and his wife are having a child.. They shared the news on Thanksgiving day.
I want to be happy for them... But they've only been married a year, and me and my wife (30) have been married for 6. My wife was deeply hurt at the news because she's had such a rough past with my family, and she had hoped to be the first to give my parents a grandchild... Hoping that it would smooth out some of the rough patches... Well, today, that dream of hers was shattered because of my brother's good news to our family..
I want to congratulate my brother on becoming a dad... But my wife and I have some personal issues with his wife. She comes across as controlling and loves to be the center of attention, while my wife endured years of BS from my family for simply just being herself (she's a jokester and doesn't feed into dramatic bs)
I'm conflicted majorly because I know I need to support my wife, but also at the same time, I want to support my brother... Guess I'm at a loss here...
I should also mention that previously, when the BS with my family and wife started, we almost went two years without speaking to them... And when we returned to the US after my time in the military, we slowly tried to work things out. Things seemed to be going well, but then this happened today and it just set my wife off.
I'm stuck in-between a rock and a hard place it feels like, knowing that becoming a mom is what my wife has only dreamed of for the past 6 years, and knowing that I can't financially afford to provide that gift to her kills me inside. I also don't want to lose my family again because that too was hell for me to go through...
Unfortunately, it seems like our Thanksgiving went from a good day to the worst Thanksgiving that I've ever had due to my brother's good news... Advice?
