I downloaded bumble a few days after turning 18. I was just on for a laugh to see what it would be like. I never knew I’d find my soulmate. I was currently on holiday at the time just a few hours down in England from my home in Scotland. I stupidly thought I would find people from my town but I guess I was going to find some people from around the place I was at anyway (I was a bit silly).
On the 29th of November last year I was just swiping until I saw someone named “Aaron”. For years in my dreams the man would be called Aaron which was funny to me so I thought “why not I’ll swipe”. I sent him a message that day and then a few hours later into the night I got my first response. Immediately I thought this boy was the cutest. He was 20 at the and typed much more maturely than I was use too so it made me feel bit giddy inside. Instantly every single time we texted I felt excited waiting for him to text back. I found out he was in the military and he was based where I was and he joined for a laugh too. I rizzed him up well though.
A week or so after we started talking I had obviously gone back home so we were now 4 hours apart. We started talking on Snapchat and WhatsApp for a little and then one day moved to discord. This is how our 6 month long distance relationship started. We were in love. We called every single night shift he had. We’d call all night, watch movies and played online games together. And we’d never go a few minutes without texting (although I use to leave him for a few hours after he’d ask me a question due to adhd). I realised this boy was the perfect boy ever. He was so funny and we had so so much in common we could talk for hours even though our first call was a bit awkward. He was the English boy I wished for on my birthday.
we finally met in real life in June. We shared an awkward hug and went out for a meal with my mum and dad and then they left us to it. Within an hour of being alone we were immediately back to the way we were online. Talking and laughing as if we’d known each other for years. I finally got to look into his beautiful blue eyes. It was true love and we both knew it from day one. A week after we met we proposed to each other and little did we know the next month something beautiful would happen.
We went on a holiday together just for a little to spend time together. I had AWFUL food poisoning and what made me realise we were meant to be was knowing that this man I met online months before was holding my hair back knowing I’m terrified of vomiting (emetophobia). We were so in love we decided to move in together as fast as possible. Just before our first ever house search though I had shocking news. After my food poisoning I felt like there was a presence with me. A sudden feeling like…IM PREGNANT!! And I was right. 2 weeks into testing I got the most clear results and I was 100% pregnant. Now fast forward to today me and my fiancé are celebrating our one year anniversary today, I’m almost 6 months pregnant with our son, we have our very own house (temporary we’re wanting to move soon) and we have two beautiful little boy kittens. Yep that’s right I’m out numbered 4 - 1 to boys 😂.
In conclusion to this all though Bumble changed me and my fiancés life. Without bumble me and my soulmate, father to our child would have never met. This is why Bumble will forget have a place in our hearts. I can’t wait for our beautiful bumble boy is born. Due April 1st. Thank you so much bumble!! I just tried doing it, and surviving the first 10 minutes seems unfeasible. You'll barely get 5 minutes before a force of 20+ Champion cavalry attacks your base, not enough time to even get out a small number of extra Hoplites. And since the enemies out-stat you due to how Ludicrous difficulty works, you either have to use Bronze immediately or die, and Bronze will only just barely let you survive. And even if you survive that attack, you won't survive the next one, which will include Colossi and Petroboli.
The problem is how you have basically no economy when you reach Ajax's base, and it takes far too long for you to build one up. And while you're trying to get even a basic amount of resources up, the enemy is fully loaded, will attack frequently, and its units are stronger than yours even with equal upgrades.
I think the devs need to re-check that mission and make it winnable without using cheat codes.
