I've heard a couple jokes about Israel from comedians, one of them goes like this: "people are worried about Mexican immigrants, im worried about Israeli immigrants, one day their sleeping on your couch and the next day they kick you out of your house"
Another one I remember is the guy tells about how his friends ex moved into his house and the ex convinced his friends to kick the friend out or something like that. And then the comedian says that his friend got "Israeled"
Basically these comedians are saying Israelis will come into your house and kick you out of it eventually. They are using the analogy of a house, they are saying "Israel came into Palestine's house and kicked Palestine out" while ignoring Israel was actually there first. Palestine was created by Roman occupation of Israel, and Arabs got there by colonizing it.
The Irony is that the opposite is true, India is an extremely popular place for Israelis to visit after their army service and Israelis never cause trouble there. Meanwhile Muslims go to other countries and do terror attacks, stabbings, and protests demanding sharia law in other countries. And Arabs literally invaded and colonized the entire middle east and kicked out/killed the native ethnic groups and replaced them, and in placed where Arabs did not ethnically replace the native people, they culturally replaced them by forcing Arabic and Islam upon them. So it would be more accurate for these comedians to replace Israeli with Muslim/Arab, but if they did they would be called racist/Islamophobic even though it is more true than saying Israelis are the ones invading and kicking people out.

I (22 F) have a crush on someone (25 M- co worker) that's very hard to read and decipher. I've known my (now) crush for about 5-6 months now. From what I can tell, he's a jokester and very sarcastic. I often find him a bit childish but he's also very charming and silly. I always catch him looking at me (sometimes we have staring matches where I end up looking away after a while and I can still see him looking at me after I break eye contact), and he always pokes me and asks to touch my hair. He's been asking everyone at work for fashion advice for an event he's going to, and recently he said that he only trusts and goes by my advice. When he found out that I hung out with two of our colleagues outside of work, he began questioning me intensely about where we went and what we did, almost possessively, which was unexpected since he was just telling me about a party he went to the same night. There were also times when he referred to himself as "the love of my life" or when I jokingly told him I have a boyfriend when he poked me, he responded with "is it me?". Little things like this make me think he wants me, but then he contradicts it by ignoring the few messages I send him, asking me not to touch him when I return all his pokes and jabs, ignoring my questions/ conversation starters in favor of his phone and other things that just deliberately cut or halt any of the momentum we created. We also never have serious/intellectual conversations, and I don't know much about him as a person and in terms of interests and hobbies, and neither does he about me. I hear him conversing with people so easily and with me its just a no go. It makes me feel like he might think I'm dumb and aren't worth holding those kinds of conversations with.
I honestly don't know what to do, a part of me wishes so badly to get over him. I started falling for him recently when he became more emboldened with his flirtatious remarks towards me, and I feel like I lost my senses- i feel like a fool. But another part of me thinks that he is juts as shy and clueless as I am, and is waiting for a clear sign from me that I'm interested. Even though he seems like a confident and experienced guy to me, it might all just be an act he's putting on, I have no way of knowing unless I push forward. I'm just scared honestly lol What do you think I should do?
