2024.11.29 01:40 Grinderica Some way to de-sync phone volume with Bluetooth speaker volume (way too loud even at low volume setting)
The problem also happens with Bluetooth speakers or headsets that are way too quiet even at high volumes.
On older Bluetooth speakers and headsets, I could set a "normal" volume on the phone (I usually set it to halfway) then set the BT speaker to its own likeable "normal" volume, which frankly gave me better adjustment, much like gears on a bicycle.
Nowadays, "newer" BT speakers seem to always be attached to phone volume buttons, which apparently is an "upgrade" or "fix" to old 2-volume way. Now I'm having the problem on random devices where I have to set the volume to like 3- or 7+ of 10 as a "normal" baseline setting. This gets obnoxious as it doesn't leave much room for adjustment. The "intolerable" volume or dead silence is reached too quickly.
So, I've been looking into way to either adjust this "normal" on the speaker, or maybe in phone settings, but it seems only Samsung has done this, and I don't use Samsung Androids anymore.
Advice? I feel like this could be another giant rabbit hole, and I'd really prefer not to have to get into soldering or tweaking bits but hey I'll look into it if someone names something that actually worked.

I am a long time Pro Tools and Windows user, but I have recently joined a band who exist in the Logic ecosystem. I dusted off my old Mid 2015 MBP, according to this handy post, latest I can run is 10.7.9. Various collaborators have various versions, at least one has Logic 11 on a very new Macbook.
- Is there any way to tell which version a project file was saved in? Something I can find by digging through the metadata in a text editor for example?
- Is there a compatibility chart or what is the general cross-version compatibility? I think I've opened slightly newer project files with no ill effects, but I can't find much solid info and would love to eliminate some trial and error.
- Is there anything that can be done to save files in such a way that makes them open in older versions?

Im 17 and have autism. My dad is 66, deaf, as well as diagnosed with MDD. Me and my dad have lived in the US our entire lives. My dad has had hallucinations my entire life. I remember him talking/signing to people that nobody else could see. He told us that they were signing back. My mom isn’t from the US and thinks it’s Chinese apparitions even though those aren’t real. It has gotten extremely bad twice.
One time he was running around the house asking people that we couldn’t see to follow him. He was also acting extremely weirdly like being motionless on his knees for about 2 hours just mumbling. Another time he has gotten into a car accident while he was seeing a lot of people that were distracting him by signing to him in asl while driving.
My dad has seen multiple psychiatrists for MDD. One time I was there with him to translate (he was okay with it) and when they asked about him hearing voices, he blatantly said no. And then I got into an argument with him because he does see people and they sign to him. It escalated and I was removed from the session. It hit me that my dad had been flat out lying to all his physicians and thats why his MDD isn’t getting better. His behavior is slowly becoming erratic again and bringing me to tears.
I’m lost as to what to do. My mom is convinced its spirits and my dad is lying. The stress of my dad’s mental state is making it impossible to sleep. Please give advice I’m very worried, any help would be so tremendously appreciated.
