2024.11.29 02:40 Rare_Beautiful9562 Makeine Rewatch: Day 3
 | Episode 4: ‘When You Stare into a Losing Heroine, the Losing Heroine Stares Back into You’ — There’s a lot I could say about this episode, it’s so damn good. A top three episode of the anime for me and it’s what kept me invested in the series since then. I really liked how Amamori-sensei ended off the prologue with this, showing the start of the journey and change in Nukumizu as a character as well as the setup of the main loser heroines. A ‘mob’ character slowly becoming more than just a background character, understanding the concepts of making connections with others and how one feels. And obviously, his faults start to show as well. Nukumizu is a very low self esteemed person, believing the worst of everything and trying to assume what’s best for others, showed with him breaking off the lunch debt in order to ‘protect’ Yanami’s reputation. To which, guess who is the person that combats that? Why our favorite otter, Anna Yanami of course. There’s a scene in the novel that the anime skipped that Yanami says to Nukumizu which really stuck out to me. — “Listen, even though you’re probably considerate to me when you’re doing things! Don’t you dare to decide who’s close to who for me without asking me first! You even ignored everyone and charged straight ahead! At least ask for my opinion before doing dumb stuff like that!”— Yanami scolding Nukumizu immediately for his actions is a really neat touch. I like that she doesn’t fully lay him off after gaining closure for Sosuke as she was clearly hurt by Nukumizu’s actions to cut ties. In volume 7, Nukumizu also reminisces to this and was obviously hurt too, realizing his actions of hurting Anna and afraid of her looking at him as if he was a stranger. (man these two need to get together already) Now that I realized, rewatching and retrospecting made me appreciate the series even more. In all honesty, I think I’d be mad if Yanami and Nukumizu don’t get together in the end but I digress. Aside from these two, the other characters in this episode were good too. Episode 4 starting off with Komari’s rejection, an insight of Tamaki and Tsukinoki’s relationship, the deep connection between Komari and her literature club senpais, and Lemon being an underrated presence giving advice to Nukumizu after his blunder with Yanami. (although it’s kind of a shame Kaju screentime got completely cut in the anime in this episode) Nevertheless, a very great episode. It’s emotional and deep, good characterization and awesome dynamics. Until then, onto the next episode of the rewatch! We have noticed several issues with our fridge since losing power for over a week in October during Hurricane Helene.
Our deli tray area was getting frost and today when I went investigated the whole bottom was frozen solid.
Additionally the rest of the fridge is not getting very cold to the point of having milk spoil.
I have defrosted the ice hoping to clean up some air circulation but what else should I be looking for?

I haven’t had like a big crush on anyone in a while until I met this girl out at a bar through some mutual friends. I didn’t really make a good first impression at all (I was pretty faded) since then I think I’ve done a better job my friend who knows her agreed. I saw her last night and got the vibe that she was just not really feeling me but I also feel like I doubt myself a lot.
