To clarify she's not diagnosed but has lot's of symptoms. So yesterday she said she doesn't like talking at all and wants to just stop talking verbally almost completelly. Even if she enjoys talking to me, she doesn't enjoy talking verbally at all. I'm really conflicted cause I want to respect her but I also love hearing her, I do really like her voice and want to keep hearing it. this is maybe a silly question but does anyone know what counts as a regular period? I know a regular period cycle can be anywhere from 26-35 ish days, but is it typical to have the cycle length differ from cycle to cycle?
in the past year, I have had 13 periods, but the cycle length changes from month to month:
- nov 2023 cycle length was 26 days
- dec 2024 was 30 days
- jan 2024 was 32 days
- feb 2024 was 29 days
- march was 29 days
- april was 30 days
- may was 31 days
- june was 29 days
- july was 36 days,
- aug was 36 days
- sept was 29 days,
- oct was 31 days, and
- my last cycle was 30 days

been a minute since ive had a decent pc, last one i built was a 4790k 16gb ddr3 and 2 1080ti's and i do recall Ram being much more expensive. just finished up my new setup with the i9 14900k, a 4090 and i snagged 2, 64gb corsair vengence ddr5 ram kits totalling 128gb for like $300... im 100% willing to return all that ram and grab 2, 96gb kits solely just to run a ramdisk with black ops 6 and its entirety on it. this pc will solely be used for like 2-3 games along with having gigabit internet to reinstall if needed, or should i wander down the 2 or 3 samsung 990pro's in raid 0 setup? fun fact, i absolutely hate loading screens.

 | I used to live in Irvine so Iām familiar with the area, I was able to find the home they rented (address has been removed for privacy) and it looks like it was about 20k/month. The current apartment they currently rent at goes for 3.8k-7.8k so depending what floor they chose it could be up to 7k/month or so. I almost rented at that apartment back in 2022 so I was able to recognize it from the photos they posted as well. Tbh they never should have rented either place, if they were smart financially they should have saved for a downpayment for their home. Now with Trump elected and tariffs going up, the FBA business is going to do very poorly next year since most products are exported from China. I believe Kevin has voted against his own interests by voting for Trumpā¦ and I do want to see the repercussions of being an uneducated Trump supporter from this as he will see first hand the effects of a Trump presidency on his finances. Hey there! Wow. When I posted about this in the morning, I had no idea it would get quite so much attention. Iām a little overwhelmed. I was checking in on comments throughout the day, and am so so so appreciative of everyone who took the time to respond. I feel like I ran the full gamut of emotions reading through all the comments. A lot of really wise and nuanced perspectives, a lot that challenged my thinking, a lot that made me just straight up laugh and some that made my stomach drop with sympathy. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, even the ones that were difficult to read. I will respond to as many comments as I can, but probably not all.
I will clear up a couple of things before I get to the update (haha, Iāve read these words so many times on reddit and never thought Iād be the one to write them). First, I guess, is that a lot of people suspected he either had a live-in girlfriend, a girlfriend he didnāt live with, or even a wife (!!). Iām not gonna go into either of our personal lives here, but Iāve spent a lot of time with Guy at his place the last 4 months and heās also told me about his dating history (and I wonāt lie, I confirmed this with good ole fashioned social media stalking) ā you will have to trust me when I say he does not have a girlfriend or, indeed, a wife. I understand this does happen, but Iām not going to start suspecting every man I date of secretly having a whole other life. Itās not healthy. I also donāt believe itās healthy to suspect every male-female friendship of being nefarious.
There were a couple of suggestions / assumptions that really made me laugh: one, that I am playing the Cool Girl in order to āwinā exclusivity, and two, that I am withholding sex and therefore he had to seek it elsewhere. Um. Lol. All I have to say to that.
There was SO MUCH really fascinating debate in the comments about exclusivity, and the grey area of relationships before this is established. Everyone has their own perspective on this ā I guess the problem is that not enough of us (myself included) are super upfront about this when we meet the people we go onto date. Iām personally more in the camp of after a certain length of time, frequency of contact, and frequency of intimacy, unless someone says different then exclusivity is tacitly assumed. I believe itās okay to be hurt by someone seeing other people even if you havenāt had that talk. So many great points were made on either side of this debate, and these are the comments I want to pay particular attention to.
Lastly, quite a few people asked why I was on Reddit for advice rather than talking to Guy. I mean, aside from crowdsourcing objective advice being quite a human impulse, I think, it also really helps me to write out an account of an event. But more than anything, Iāve spent most of my life people-pleasing (no one asked me) and as a result, despite being a very warm and empathetic person, am pretty dissociated from my own feelings a lot of the time. When something *happens*, my emotions become an overwhelming white noise, and I need time to process and decipher it. Part of that process is asking for outside opinions, because they help orient me, and help me strip away the ānoiseā on top of my own emotions.
Okay, onto the update: he was texting me throughout the day in a manner that made it clear he knew something was up. I went for a long walk to clear my head, and when I got home I drafted a pretty direct message outlining how the whole thing was weird and what it made me think and feel. He replied immediately asking if we could call, because it was better to explain over the phone. I said sure. (A lot of people, my close friend included, recommended just ghosting, but it would genuinely torture me.) He explained that the girl was not the friend heād mentioned he might meet that night (she is flaky and bailed) but an ex he has told me about before. She was back in our city for a few days and they met after heād gone climbing to pick up stuff sheād left in his flat (he had told me about this stuff before, so I knew of its existence). He said that when I walked into the store, he was just totally caught off guard and didnāt know how to explain in the moment, so he chose the super awkward version. I didnāt actually notice her until they were in the queue together, but she must have been standing near him when I spoke to him, because she clocked me and asked about me once they were outside, at which point he told her Iām who heās currently dating. (I didnāt put this in the original post, but he told me a while ago that his best friend knew about me, which I took as a positive sign. One thing that came up in a few comments which really got to me was that whoever this girl was, she also did not seem to know of my existence.) He said that as they were exiting he did try to wave at me, but I was looking away, and ā¦ that is fair, I was. He said they went to his flat, chatting for a bit, she got her stuff and left. This aligns with how he was online a lot after about 10.30pm. I think her coming by was all pretty last-minute, and he was going to tell me in person about it (I mean, Iāll never know if thatās true, but anyway). I told him I would rather he had just told me immediately by text than wait for me to bring it up, and he acknowledged and apologised for this, and said heād do so in future. He also stressed that he isnāt dating or sleeping with anyone else. I think it was maybe just kind of a heavy, last-minute meetup for him and the last thing he expected was for me to walk into it. The timing of it is so ridiculous it actually makes me laugh. Anyway, I know that explanation wonāt satisfy everyone, and I do think he handled it pretty poorly. But, the conflict resolution was smooth, and we are all allowed to make mistakes ā as long as they are not a pattern, I think it can be okay. Some of you did guess basically this exact situation, and Iām glad it wasnāt anything worse, because I really like this guy. I am going to take a few days to let it settle in, though. It's easy to feel an immediate relief and then have it wear off later.
