2024.11.29 02:30 CorrectSpare9843 What happens if you fail the BMST transferring to civilian nuke world?
So I applied to a nuclear plant that is the ideal job for me and passed (I think I did really well but they only show pass or fail) the POSS exam but underestimated the BMST (why do I need to know how to calculate the volume of a sphere) and failed it. I know I will pass it the second time with more studying, but I'm curious if anyone in the civilian side has failed or known someone that failed this test and still was able to get the job.
The rest of my resume is good, RO for over 2 years, EWS for almost 2 years and E5 at time of application, currently E6. Current prospective hire date is almost one year out (November 2025) and EAOS is in April so plenty of time to retake the exam. Any input is appreciated!

My iPad (2020) drains battery much faster recently. I’ve installed iOS 18 and mostly use my iPad to draw art for client (using clip studio as it drains less battery than procreate). I do not play games on the iPad at all. So only YouTube and Clip Studio.
However, right after updating the iPad to iOS 18 my battery reduces from 73% to 32% in the blink of an eye. Within a literal turn of my head!
Is there a reason or fix for this?

i developed agoraphobia around march this year and have been making some improvements through the months (yay!). propranolol has been helpful in getting me out of the house but i still need people around me wherever i go. i still struggle to drive myself or go out on errands alone.
i’m 26 and single and im overthinking on whether ill be able to get my life on track and meet people. i know i should be patient with this process but sometimes im scared of how long its gonna take

I have a friend who moved into a home a few years ago. She signed a 1 year lease with the landlord, his name and hers only, that included a $10,000 deposit. When it came time for her to renew the landlord said he would get to it. He would get to it turned into a multiple year agreement of her just paying the monthly rent. Unfortunately, he suddenly passed away due to a health condition. After his death she continued to pay rent to his family, again without signing a lease. It came to an end of a year and she decided to move. She moved out, allowed the family to keep the full deposit and turned in the keys. She moved into a new place for 2 years when she was suddenly served with a damages lawsuit almost totaling $30,000. The name on the lawsuit is of the landlord who passed away. Is this something they’re able to do? how should she go about this?
