2024.11.29 02:30 JaneNinaAlbertson Why are all these lights on?
Hi, I know nothing about cars and I blindly trust the mechanics at Subaru for my car. I had all these plus the traction control light come on. The sensors on both the tire pressure lights are on and the windshield wipers, because they are "broken" and need to be fixed. I am unsure why the check engine and the traction control and the car on a ramp light come on. When I had auto zone and then Subaru scan the car, it came up saying the ERG valve had to be replaced. Which Subaru did twice this year alone. Can someone explain this to me or maybe have a different explanation as to why this keeps happening to my car? Thank you in advance. submitted by JaneNinaAlbertson to AskMechanics [link] [comments] |
2024.11.29 02:30 nuclearspidergang Why do they take bottle caps?
I recently went to a concert where I bought a bottle of water. The lady who gave it to me was very nice, but she was like "I have to keep the cap". I was wondering why this is? Seems there's a higher chance for spills and maybe potentially druggings to happen? Maybe i'm overthinking but I'd love to know why.

2024.11.29 02:30 SwimmerNarrow Multivariable Problem in Spherical Coordinates - Bounds
https://preview.redd.it/nkh4p98z3r3e1.png?width=695&format=png&auto=webp&s=a8bd896af88b99f0d30f60c1c9228c2799567fef https://preview.redd.it/xj88u4e04r3e1.png?width=776&format=png&auto=webp&s=dc1c3d50d612cfce17844f3b0773ffc6b8c1fd73 Hello! Here is the question and my solution. It's basically a snowcone shape with the bottom sliced off(z=1). I converted it to spherical coordinates and it becomes Cos^2(phi)sin(phi) dp dphi dtheta. Now I'm really struggling to understand why these two bounds are giving me different answers for roe(p). If I integrate from root2 to 2, I get a different answer than 1/cos(phi) to 2. Which I don't understand. As the lowerbound of phi and the angle the cone makes with the origin is pi/4, 1/cos(phi) = root2. Yet if I just use root 2 instead of 1/cosphi for the lower bound I am getting different answers. Since Roe or 'P' is the radius from the origin the radius from the origin to the start of the cone at z=1(where it begins) should be root2 and then it will stop at 2 the radius of the circle. So why does 1/cosphi give me a different answer? I plugged them both into integral calculators. and I get either 0.793 or 1.3 Any advice or clarification would really help! I am just really struggling to understand why those two values are not equivalent. As far as I understand it the lowest value should be root2 and then the max is 2. and same for Phi it starts at 0 degrees with the z axis and finishes at pi/4(45degrees) which all line up with general cone equation and a sphere of radius 2. 2024.11.29 02:30 ashleycarson226 Playlist
I love that CW has allowed for her spotify to be public and given fans the opportunity to theorize, HOWEVER
I really hope people don't think that these playlist are actually telling the whole story. While they may be for us, they are also for her DURING her writing process. She's actively writing and tweaking storylines, and using playlist as mood boards to help her be in the moment and think about what she wants to do with each character. It's not confirmation of anything, and just because you have a theory, doesn't mean you should expect it to be the actual storyline, then get on the internet upset the writer didn't write what you would've written. I get it. It's frustrating and scary, but CW is one who controls the narrative of her stories, not you and the character you have unhealthy obsession with. It's okay to be wrong, but for the sake of your sanity, I wouldn't read too much into these playlist.
Just my opinion, and I'm sure alot of these theories might be correct, but I don't know...I think too many people are taking the playlist too literal and then end up disappointed when things don't turn out the way they wanted it to for their favorite characters.

2024.11.29 02:30 CookieCrispKiller I want to love my machine….
But we can’t get it right at all. If the pressure is high enough to be in the right zone, the shots are way too short and if the shots are within the right time frame, the pressure is too low. We have tried different beans, every single setting combination we can think of. I’m so frustrated because we got the machine on sale and can’t return it or exchange it. It’s the Breville BES870XL model. I’m just looking for advice or feedback. Anyone experienced this problem? Any solutions?

2024.11.29 02:30 CorrectSpare9843 What happens if you fail the BMST transferring to civilian nuke world?
So I applied to a nuclear plant that is the ideal job for me and passed (I think I did really well but they only show pass or fail) the POSS exam but underestimated the BMST (why do I need to know how to calculate the volume of a sphere) and failed it. I know I will pass it the second time with more studying, but I'm curious if anyone in the civilian side has failed or known someone that failed this test and still was able to get the job.
The rest of my resume is good, RO for over 2 years, EWS for almost 2 years and E5 at time of application, currently E6. Current prospective hire date is almost one year out (November 2025) and EAOS is in April so plenty of time to retake the exam. Any input is appreciated!
