For the better part of a year, my left leg has been acting strange.
Normal symptoms:
I’ve had tingling in my left quad since I was 14, but it’s on and off, not constant. I also have sciatic pain that tends to hurt my left side more than my right.
Unusual symptom:
Apart from those usual symptoms, when I walk I’ve been experiencing my leg not “catching” when I step. I put my left leg down for a step and my leg bends and I pretty much fall. It doesn’t happen all of the time, but it’s become more frequent over the year. It’s especially bad when I’m in pain. Sometimes I don’t fall all the way to the floor and I feel my leg being weird and compensate for it. But one time I was tipsy and actually did fall as a result of my leg not catching when I was walking- resulting in a scar on my knee. It’s often unexpected and doesn’t really have a pattern. Sometimes it’s a one off and sometimes it continues to happen for a couple hours.
Anywhoooo, is this still fibromyalgia? How do I bring this up to a doc? How concerned should I be?
