Gonna ask the fellas to add your reasons as to why you also don't enjoy being friends with women.
-Women are emotional vampires -Generally annoying to talk to -Women give terrible advice (especially when I wanted tips on how to grow my hair out) -Women make terrible wing women -They hate each other and expect us to like them 🫨🤨 -Can't take a joke (as men verbally and physically joke around, that women deem inappropriate) -Don't have the same interests/hobbies as us -Can't back me up in a fight if something bad went down
The only way I could be friends with a woman, is if she basically isn't a typical woman (practically impossible). She would have to pay me to be her friend, basically helps me with chores/cooks, gives me sexual favours or has friends/network of high networth individuals (basically well connected). Basically a woman has to add value on some way for me to consider a friendship with them, most women (in a friendship setting) add zero value to my life.

Sometimes it feels like I’m writing my last note. This is one of those times. My fiancé is fast asleep in the other room and I’m just sitting here drinking. I never realized how much I need alcohol until recent. Today for thanksgiving I’ve carried a flask with me(filled with vodka) and drank some Jameson. I snapped on my fiancé today about problems that I keep pent up. I don’t want to but I can’t help it. I’m not a suicidal person, however I’m certainly not doing anything to prevent it. Since a young age I’ve had problems, the biggest in my opinion being intrusive thoughts. I can’t help it. I don’t know what causes them but I am constantly imagining the worst. I’ve been to therapy before. It’s probably been 10 years since that. I’ve been in the service for over 7 years. I was quickly pushed into leadership roles which of course adds stress but I can deal with it. Or at least I think that lol maybe I can’t. I constantly deny it but I am riddled with PTSD and mental problems from the service. For a year straight I woke up screaming and sweating in the middle of the night(probably been 2 years since). I don’t know what I plan on getting from posting this. Maybe someone who can just relate to me. I just need someone to understand what it’s like. The other day I tried to quit drinking and I couldn’t. I crawled out of bed in the middle of the night to get a drink. Now understand drinking has never affected my job. Sure I’ve come to the station in the middle of the night and crashed on the couch but none of the drinking on the job shit. Lately my drunken thoughts have been that if I can eventually kick the booze that I’d like to be a substance abuse counselor. Idk it was just a dumb thought I had. I lost my father to drinking and since I abuse it as well I figured it’d be nice to come full circle and help people that struggle like myself. I know that this post has nothing to do with firefighting, however I know I’m not the only one who struggles. I have a problem and I am no longer afraid to admit that. Please someone help me.

Layout help to maximize functionifunctionim Hello! I'm looking for advice on whether you think this will work. Currently layout is a peninsula between kitchen and breakfast nook. We want to combine into one larger space and add pantry space as there is currently none. Room measurements are 208x125". We are thinking of a 94" L x 36" W island. The placement will be 44" from the cabinets on the Fridge side, 40" from the cabinets on the Oven/Range side, and 46" from the sliding doors. Do you think this will work? The sink is currently about 8 inches from the end of the island. I know this isn't ideal, but if it's on the centre, there is less continuous prep space and one of the chairs will be only 1 ft away from the sink. We may not use the seating much for 4 though, thinking likely just the 2 kids will use it and we all will eat in the dining room for main meals. Open to all ideas and discussion!
