Emperor: "Maximus Caw Caw. You stand before me now, but what do you truly seek in this arena? Power? Glory? Or your own twisted revenge?"
[The crowd quiets, their eyes drawn to Maximus. He steps forward, his voice calm but filled with the weight of a thousand battles. He is not just a gladiator; he is a force unto himself.]
Maximus Caw Caw: "My name is Maximus Caw Caw. I was once the servant of no man, no king, no god. But I have tasted their cruelty, their lies, their chains. They tried to break me, to turn me into their puppet. They failed."
[He raises his chin, looking down at the emperor as though his very presence is beneath him.]

[The crowd murmurs, intrigued, but Maximus is just getting started.]
"My father was a warrior. He taught me to fight, to survive. He said that a man’s name is his bond, his legacy. But they killed him. And they thought I would bow to them, as all men must bow to their masters. But I will not bow. Not to you, not to anyone."
[He steps forward, his eyes burning with fury and clarity.]
"I fought for freedom. I fought for those who had no voice. And when they took everything from me—my family, my home, my honor—I fought back. They took everything, but they never took my name. Maximus Caw Caw. It is mine. It is not for them to own. Not for you."
[He turns to face the emperor, his words now ringing out with the certainty of someone who has nothing left to lose.]
"You can take my body. You can put me in chains, you can throw me in this pit, but you will never take my soul. You will never take the fire that burns inside of me. You are not my emperor. You are nothing more than a man who hides behind a crown, afraid of those who dare to stand in his shadow."
[He raises his arms, and his voice booms across the arena.]
"I stand here not as a gladiator, not as a servant, but as a man who has been broken and rebuilt. I will die before I bow. And when they ask who fought in this arena, when they ask who stood against the tide of tyranny... they will speak my name."
[The crowd is silent, waiting for what comes next. Maximus Caw Caw’s final words ring out, a promise, a defiance.]

2024.11.29 03:50 Free-Internet-4499 Could there be a reason I’m so incredibly clumsy?
This might be a ridiculous question, but it’s gotten much much worse over the last year or so. Enough that people around me have noticed. I (26F) have always been relatively clumsy I think, often tripping over nothing, dropping EVERYTHING, knocking stuff over, losing my grip on items and even sometimes accidentally throwing things? I am diagnosed with ADHD and have been taking vyvanse for 2 years, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. I also have hypothyroidism and PCOS, but I doubt there’s any correlation. Today I even fell down the stairs after slipping on nothing (which happens often) and ended up hurting myself and losing consciousness for an unknown period of time. It seems to be getting worse, but it’s not really a traceable thing so maybe it’s just something I’m noticing more because I’m thinking about it? I just want to know if there could be an actual reason for this or if it’s just me being clumsy and poorly coordinated or something. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Just recently picked up an aoc qd oled off of amazon and had one slight issue with it. When it notifies me that it needs to do the 4 hour annual pixel cleaning it shows up in a big box with a yes or no option stating it can take up to 10 minutes. Now this wouldn’t be a problem if I was watching YouTube or doing some homework but when I’m in an online game that can take some time to get over with, I’m stuck with a big box on my screen or clicking no and missing out on the cleaning. Anyone have any tips or maybe I’m missing something? There is no option to postpone the cleaning or have it start within a certain time frame.

Just got back from a trip to SYD. So I landed at Sydney airport as I walked through the exit at the tip of my feet was an elevator taking me down to the underground station where a train was waiting to take me into the city. I could tap on with my credit card and 15 minutes later I was in the city centre connecting onto a driverless high speed metro train to the north. Both trains were smooth, clean and somewhat faster than back home.
Came back to Melbourne. Had to pay $25 for a 1 way ticket on a Skybus. Had to wait 20 minutes for a Skybus which then took approx 40 mins to even get to the city due to traffic. Connected at southern cross where the train was delayed due to trespassing (it happens)
Didn't realise how important an underground airport station was until visiting Sydney last week. All the terminals were connected through underground passageways and I didn't have to step outside at all once! Fella at the station said theyre building a high speed underground metro to the new airport in 2026 and couldn't help but think Damn we need this in Melbourne !
Thoughts?

I applied LTVP and PR for my wife and citizenship for my daughter as one combined submission. I wrote in to expedite the process and was informed that the release of the outcome would be dependent on whichever is the longer one and that it might take up to 6 months. I would like to ask if it is advisable to withdraw my wife's application in the hope that it will speed up my daughter's? I am missing out on significant milestones in my daughter's life. She is growing fast and I feel that she is not recognising me anymore. Many thanks!

One size fits all so the tail end is rather too long and I wish to shorten it. Now it looks like I'd need to seal it with heat, but I'm considering maybe getting an empty food can, bending it to the right radius, heating it over the gas cooker and just pressing down on it over a heatproof surface. Hello, so context I am a 1st year nursing student and it was basically our last meeting with our professor in the subject anatomy and physiology (its a prerequisite subject, we wont have it when we reach second semester). Our professor started saying his last message and the whole class had a group picture. After that half of the class started crying because they seem to get attached to the subject and our professor—don’t get me wrong though, our prof is great at teaching he also seems to love his job despite having this mean facade all the time and the only few teachers there that doesn’t treat us like shit, moreover the only one that puts in the effort to help us especially with our grades.
But out of my friends in my friend group I was maybe like one of them that couldn’t really bring myself to cry or feel a sense of attachment. It's interesting that I didn't feel a strong emotional connection to the class or the professor. I wonder if it's because I tend to compartmentalize my emotions, or if I simply didn't have the same experiences as my classmates. You know like, I didn’t really feel like it was something to cry to idk maybe im just a bitch or something? Or maybe the subject gave me brain damage, so bad that I had held a grudge to it? Or maybe i just haven’t interacted with my prof enough to feel that way? Why do I feel this way?

In games like iracing and project cars 3(I know it’s not a sim) the wheel seems to be skinnier and darker. Even in James Baldwin’s drivers eye videos it seems this way, but in acc it looks to thick and a light gray instead of a darker color. It’s really breaking the immersion for me.
