I really need to pay attention to when the app updates so I can try and stop these things from happening. First it was being unable to tap the progress bar to jump to that point in the video. Now, either I am just fat fingering the screen, or when I try to close a video while browsing in the app by pressing the close "X," it just opens the video up to main view.
Does anyone know of any fixes for these or settings to change?

2024.11.29 04:49 dogdogd0g WIBTA: stopping invites for BIL
My BIL Is 45m, sister is 39f, their daughter is 4. I’m 37f, partner is 39m. My mom is 66. My BIL, mom and niece all live together.
My BIL is a total grouch: everything sucks, the world is out to get him. He also says some really shitty things, for example, one time he told me that I need to be careful because my stomach was almost as large as my boobs. We’ve butted heads over the last 7 years of their relationship— including one particularly nasty fight where I told him I hated him and left a bar after he basically told me I’m a fuck up. I did apologize after, and that was maybe 6 years ago. I don’t think I’m a fuck up- I have a job, a dog, self sufficient. but I bit my tongue because I kind of hoped we could bury the hatchet and get along for my sister.
For the last roughly 2 years, he has not come to any family gatherings. Mother’s Day, where we celebrated my sisters first Mother’s Day, we had a reservation that included him and he didn’t show up. For my moms surprise birthday, he was supposed to help my sister get my mom there and again he didn’t. Hasn’t been to any events that aren’t at their house, and increasingly they don’t invite people over there. I’ve tried to help pick up the slack for hosting, along with one of my cousins.
There was one fun time when we paid in advance for a dinner reservation and he showed up & made a fuss and ended up demanding my sister and niece leave with him because he was too embarrassed to be in the restaurant his outburst.
Today, he was supposed to show up for Thanksgiving. My sister confirmed he was coming multiple times. My sister and niece ended up being about three hours late without him because I guess he was mad. I’m not sure about what. But my sister didn’t wanna talk about it and it was clear they were late because they were fighting.
I am supposed to go away with my mom, sister, niece, and BIL for a christmas/40th for my sister. My sister picked a weekend where my partner cannot go. I have tried to object multiple times because he would really like to celebrate with us. That and we share a car, have a dog to worry about, we share finances, etc. but still, my sister is insisting that we go the one weekend my partner cannot. I learned tonight that it is because my brother-in-law has picked the weekend.
I am tempted to say that I will not be going. And citing that the reason is because I feel like I have been disregarded and disrespected time and time again by BIL. he has been slated (aka my sister confirms he’s coming) to come to our house for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, my birthday. And he never shows! I have watched his daughter at their house and he barely says 2 words to me when he has arrived home from work. Just feels like the straw that broke the camels back.
WIBTA for opting out of my sisters 40th/family Christmas trip because of my BIL bailing on Thanksgiving?
