I am just getting a pre built computer and noticed most of the good deal ones were i9 14900kf.
I know it wasnt as good as amd 7950x3d or 9800x3d in cpu benchmarks but still better than other x3d variants in both single and multi core battles.
I do gaming, video editing, multi tasking, productivity and everything. I kind of want jack of all trades. I currently bought one right now and it is pretty snappy and everything I do was pretty good.
Just curious why people say this cpu is not recommended and why to avoid. Was this gen that bad that I am not aware of such as longevity and stability? Thanks.

2024.11.29 23:59 Unhappy-Yogurt7787 Advice required for removing boot files from non boot drive.
I have just done a full reset (including 'clean all drives') through the Reset this PC tool and although I know it is recommended to remove all drives apart from your desired boot drive, I didn't as I didn't know any other way of utilising the clean all drives feature following a possible infection. As such I've now booted back into Windows and it appears to again have put some of the boot files on the HDD. Having wiped the drive already I'm not bothered about any data loss but how do I go about getting rid of the boot files on the HDD? I have a Windows installation Media USB and I presume I just boot off that and delete all the partitions in the menu but then at what point do I unplug the HDD to make sure it doesn't just put them back on the wrong drive? I can't unplug the drive while in that partition menu during the Windows setup can I? My brain doesn't work all too well these days so I'd appreciate a step by step guide if anyone has one on hand.

So first, thank you to everyone who answered my question about where to find piles of junk in cysts.
I'm about to do the last Overthrow, I hope, to get enough Motes to get a Khvostok. On a whim, I check how many Motes I have, since I wasn't entirely sure that I'd gotten one from the last boss I killed, and I'm paranoid.
Guide I'm following says I need 17 to make a Primordial Mote. I...uh, I have 15...
As I reload my whiskey glass and fight back tears, question for you all: do all Overload bosses drop Motes of Light? Like, can I hopefully finish this Overthrow run and then just finish another one to get the Mote I'm missing? Or do I have to - and please don't say this or else I might get emotional - redo all of the ones I already did and hope that whichever boss didn't drop its particular mote, does so this time?
