Bought this in Hawaii in the 1990’s from a street market (either Oahu or Maui) I bought this canvas from a street artist. Was loose canvas which I rolled up, brought home, then had framed. This sub got me curious if the artist went on to bigger and better things. I did a google image search which came up with one painting very similar to mine, and several more in a kinda similar style. Painter may be Guy Joseph, a Haitian artist. Very limited bio, says he went back to Haiti in the 80’s. Just wanted to see if anyone has anymore info.

I wanted to share with this community, who has truly been our biggest cheerleader over the past 106 days of trials and tribulation, that the proverbial finish line is in view. At the start of this journey, I wrote that it would require a couple of things to get us back to being housed: 1. Substantial financial assistance from a County program 2. My husband or I becoming re-employed in our field
If you've followed our story, you know that we have tried to access help countless times, to no avail. I have a half dozen diaries documenting our trek and hope to one day write about my unanticipated descent into homelessness at age 52, ending with us becoming re-housed as a result of my husband landing his dream job at an employer he regretfully left 15+ years ago. We are so close. But we are also very weary. Our bodies have been stuffed into this car for nearly 4 months . We have lost a combined 48 lbs and we are cold. During the course of my advocacy and letters to the Editor, I have directly asked for help one other time, in the form of gas. But desperate times call for desperate measures.
As we head into the weekend, my anxiety is over the top, my head filled with the possibilities that would accompany an official job offer. But we have to make it through this last lap and we desperately need your help. We both have been fighting a nasty upper respiratory infection, further exacerbated by the freezing temperatures and weakened immune systems. We desperately need a bed, a hot shower, and a few hours where we don't have to worry about the police telling us there is no "urban camping here." I do not have any pants or sweats that will stay around my waist due to weight loss, so I have had to rely on a pair of tights and a long sweatshirt. And once again, after our dd shift, we have found ourselves stuck in West Valley City with no gas. I don't know if there is anyone out there tonight in a position to offer up help in any way, but if there is, could you please message me?
There is a $59/night hotel in Draper that we utilized during our first month out here--it is the Ramada by Wyndham. If you have any women's pants or sweats that would fit a size M or 8....if you are in the West Valley area and could put a few bucks of gas into our car, please message me and I will give you our location. Hi everyone,
I am 26 and AFAB. Around the age of 14 I saw a video about a trans man and something about it really resonated with me but I was too afraid to admit that and just hid the feelings and for sometime I felt like a boy. But this feeling would come on and off throughout my teenage years. When I got into college it really hit me, I felt like a guy. I remember throwing up in a parking lot and feeling this despair. In 2020 I started feeling dysphoria wearing woman’s clothes and started wearing men’s clothes. Later in 2021 I started feeling chest dysphoria and bought my first binder.
During that year I also started using they/them pronouns. She/her was not cutting it anymore. I told everyone around me and they all started using them. In 2022 I got hit with a big wave of dysphoria so I started considering testosterone. I went as far as seeing my physician and getting blood work done to start but got scared and backed out last minute.
For sometime up until now I thought I was okay without testosterone. I started working out and started liking my body more but again I got hit with dysphoria and it really started bothering me how people perceive me as a woman immediately. I dress in men’s clothes and have long hair. My long hair has never given me any dysphoria. I have no desire to cut it. But I do want to get top surgery. My breasts make me feel uncomfortable and so do my genitals. I want to have a more masculine build and want to be perceived as a guy when people first meet me. I guess I just need advice on how do you know when it’s time to start taking testosterone and how do you 100% know it’s for you and you aren’t just making stuff up that you are trans? Also is it okay to be scared about all of it? Thank you for reading till the end!

How Is This Possible After the Faceit 2.0 Update? I just had a game where my stack of 4 players (all verified and with 1900+ matches each) got matched against a guy who’s unverified, has only 385 matches, and is level 10. On top of that, he was playing with two others, one of whom has just 184 matches and is also level 10.
How is this even possible after the "huge update" with Faceit 2.0? I thought the new system was supposed to improve matchmaking quality and make things fairer, especially by prioritizing verified accounts.
