2024.11.30 00:59 PMDDWARRIOR I don't know if my mom is narc or not. Controlling and manipulative? Yes.
I get criticism about absolutely everything. The way I clean my house, my parenting, financial desicions, life choices, my marriage (I've been happily married for 25 years) etc. She gets mad at the way I do things because I don't do them like she 'taught me' to do them. She asks me random things and treats me like I don't have a brain or common sense. She feels she knows more than and is better than everyone else. She gets angry a lot about random things that have no merit or are unimportant to me. She is currently living with us because she had a medical emergency. It has turned my life upside down. Not because of the medical emergency. If she was another kind of person all of it would be so much easier. She is also never satisfied with whatever I do for her. It's either never enough or not right, or that she didn't ask for it or wanted it. She has tried several times to control of how my house is ran and has been met with resistance of course. I have a horrible time setting boundaries, I wasn't raised to contradict her. Now that I have had to set boundaries and put my foot down I get into an anxiety spiral. I just needed to vent, I guess.
