2024.11.30 01:30 Least-Molasses-6835 Self control
I’m nine days post-op. My hernia was only 4cm but the doctor had to stretch my esophagus 5 cm and he said it was extremely inflamed. I’ve felt so much better since the surgery. Well, really since day six. The first five days were hell. But good grief I never thought I’d have to have so much self control in this recovery!! This is my sixth surgery overall, third one on my abdomen (I have hyper mobility ehlers danlos), so I’m no stranger to post op recovery. But this one is killing me! Anyone else struggle with hunger but only being able to have liquids in small amounts to avoid the pain flaring back up? How did you manage?

I've been a thumb sucker my whole life. I now have 3yo twins one who is also a thumb sucker and one who uses a pacifier. My husband has never shamed me on thumb sucking but now we are reaching the age where I would prefer them to stop so they aren't in their late 30s still sucking their thumb like me. My husband occationally will say to the twin who prefers a pacifier "in the new year no more pacis" but never mentions it to the other one. I think he doesn't say it to the other one because he doesn't want to inadvertently make me feel bad but ultimately I really don't want them being adult suckers probably more than he does.
Any suggestions on how to ween little ones when your the pot calling the kettle black?

So i noticed one thing for a while that i kinda just ignored but whenever i try yo stop emulation on some emulators like dolphin or ryujinx, it will crash or close the app instead of going back to the games list. my steam deck does not suffer from this but my pc ALWAYS has,regardless of distro

Hello everyone, I have been with my partner for about a year and he’s always been super supportive with me, loves me and is just overall the best person i have been with. For about 2-3 months, i’ve had a really low libido and sometimes when he touches me (like my chest area), it gives me like an icky feeling. I don’t understand why because i do love him and find him so handsome.
Also, we have talked about our sex life decreases since becoming a couple, because we used to be a situationship and therefore had sex everytime we saw each other.
Is there a problem with me? What can i do to reconnect with myself? It makes me feel bad not being able to have a constant sex life with my partner.

2024.11.30 01:30 Imaginary-Being-2366 was anyone interested to make videos like Peter's, but with different perspectives?
the comments to my last question helped, I appreciate them. I wondered if anyone thought about what might be needed to do related work to peter (without the things he's criticized for)?
I'd felt some things were off, and I'd recognized them more easily when others did what peter did, but for some reason, i wasn't as cleaarticulate about peter. so I'd tried asking him about the question of this post.
the criticism seemed to cover why it wasn't good to ask him, and why he probably wouldn't reply to someone who has vulnerabilities that he shows ideology about in his commentary.
I don't mean to speak against him here, I just feel clearer from reading here (i think i looked for threads about him months ago, but didnt find clarity). so i wonder if here is a good place to ask about traveling to listen to people and show unpopular things?
for me, most of the places would be inaccessible and unimaginable, so parts of the videos can be very meaningful and maybe hope giving or adding some connection. I wonder where might be good places to ask about this, if not here?
I don't mean to sound naive, I don't mean that the videos can only show unpopular places. I just didn't mean to get too long or personal. and for the behind the scenes part, I didn't know if my guesses about what went into the work, was right. but either way, I couldn't do it alone, and i wondered who else might be interested or understand parts of what is possible
