2024.11.30 01:30 weesIo 'Twas the Night Before the Iron Bowl

'Twas the night before the Iron Bowl, and all through the South, Not a Tiger was stirring, not even their mouth. The helmets were polished, the jerseys all neat, Ryan Williams ready to shake defenders from their cleats.
The Tide fans were nestled all snug in their beds, While dreams of a shutout played loud in their heads. With Mama in her jersey and me in my cap, We prepared for tomorrow, the Tiger-shaped trap.
When out on the lawn, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my recliner to see what’s the matter. Away to the window, I flew like a flash, I thought it was Auburn, but nah, just their trash.
The moon shone bright on our championship rings, Each one a reminder of what Nick Saban means. But even without him, the Tide’s gonna roll, A dynasty of dominance, that's always the goal.
Then what to my Crimson-clad eyes did appear? But a busted cow college, full of doubt and of fear. Their hopes were so feeble, their spirit so lame, I whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now Bo Nix! Now, Cadillac! Now memories of Cam! On Kick Six! On miracles! On plays they still spam! To the bottom of the rankings, to the cellar you crawl, Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
Their mascots, a mess—are they tigers or birds? Their traditions are nonsense, their chants just absurd. But we’ve got the process, the grit, and the fire, To add to the scoreboard all the points we desire.
And then, in a twinkling, a memory spun, Of Auburn’s old boast, back when they'd won. But their streak has gone cold, their dreams now feel numb, As the Tide's on a mission to make them fear the thumb!
Their coach on the sideline, with his “War Eagle” plea, Looked like he’d rather be milking cows on TV. But our boys on the field, so mighty and bold, Were ready to show who owns this stronghold.
The crowd in the stadium, a sea full of red, Cheered loudly as nightmares filled Auburn fans’ heads. From the first snap of the ball to the very last goal, The chant filled the air: “Roll Tide Roll!”
So here’s to another year, to history we’ll add, The Iron Bowl’s ours, and boy, are we glad. Auburn's defense will tire and their offense will stall, Happy Iron Bowl to all—and Roll Tide, y’all!

2024.11.30 01:30 vinnyzuk Split system(s) woes

Hi all
About a year and a half ago I had a couple of Mitsubishi Electric split systems installed in my house. One in the main bedroom, one in the living room. They were both replacements for older units. The older units, despite being noisy, leaking and full of mouse droppings, still worked consistently (against all odds).
From not long after the the initial install of the Mitsi's, the RCD that they were connected to started tripping (RCD's on splits are a legal requirement here). At first I didn't think anything of it because it was rather infrequent.
Fast forward 12 months, the RCD started tripping much more frequently- anywhere from once every two weeks, to a few times a week. Very intermittent.
Contacted the sparkie who did the install. He came out and tested circuits and found nothing wrong. He did 1000V insulation breakdown tests and everything came back perfect. He tested both units. He also tested the cabling between the indoor and outdoor unit. He also put both units each on their own brand new RCD.
Since then, we were able to see that it was the living room unit tripping the breaker.
Sparkie started a warranty claim with Mitsubishi. A few weeks later (due to my schedule) another local electrician who is contracted by Mitsubishi to do service calls on their behalf showed up. He said that in order to proceed with a warranty claim, they need to install F-Type breakers (as per the Mitsubishi service manual).
Since the Mitsubishi licenced electrician showed up, both units RCD's began tripping.
My sparkie finally tracked down one of these elusive F-Type RCD's (they are $500 a pop and rare as hen's teeth apparently, so both units now back on the one RCD). We went for about a month with the aircons running near 24/7 without issues.
Then it started again.
And here we are now, awaiting an actual Mitsubishi technician to come to my house and investigate. The breakers trip even when the aircons aren't even running. I'm having to reset the breaker up to 3 times a week. Very annoying when it trips in the middle of the night and you wake up sweating.
My question to your collective expertise- why is the RCD tripping? Why are both units causing the same fault when cabling tests fine. Previous Carrier branded units had no issues.
Help?
TLDR: Aircon RCD intermittently tripping for two separate units, cabling testing fine. Doesn't matter if units are on or off.
Thanks in advance.

2024.11.30 01:30 TRAVISeScooterMan123 Dropped my vape on a police officers boot

Hi all,
So, I was just thinking back to my trip to my amazing first ever trip to Thailand. I remember something that happened and I would like to know your opinions on it. I (M23) was walking through central Pattaya. I seen some police officers right in front of my I had noticed standing against the wall. In this moment of realisation I also had my stall bought nicotine vape. I rushed to put it in my pocket and managed to drop the vape on the ground. The whole thing was like slow motion. I watched the vape hit the ground, and roll directly into the boot of one of the police officers. He looked at me and I looked at him, then we both looked at the vape. I went to pick up the vape, the police officer didn’t not say anything to me, but it was like we both just had a moment of acknowledgment to which he showed me mercy.
I would like to know your thoughts on how lucky I was in this situation?
What could have went wrong?
Should I delete this post?

2024.11.30 01:30 BGodInspired Envisioning Hope: Harnessing the Power of Positive Thinking

https://bgodinspired.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/1732929631.png
Short Devotional about Positive thinking and visualization
Introduction In a world brimming with challenges, obstacles, and uncertainties, the power of positive thinking and visualization can ignite a profound transformation in our lives. Often, we find ourselves ensnared in the chaos of day-to-day life, where negativity can sneak into our thoughts and obscure the light of God’s promises. However, embracing a mindset that aligns with God’s truth allows us to visualize not just a brighter day but a fulfilled life rooted in faith and expectation.
Did you know that our thoughts can shape our reality? What we focus on has the potential to manifest, and when we center our thoughts on God’s goodness and His plans for us, we open doors to immeasurable blessings. Let positivity and faith become the lens through which you view the world, and watch as your heart and spirit are uplifted. As we delve into this devotional, may you be inspired to harness the power of positive thinking and godly visualization in your own life.
Bible Verse “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)
Meaning This powerful verse from Proverbs echoes the significance of our thoughts in determining our identity and the course of our lives. It challenges us to examine what we allow our hearts to dwell on and how those thoughts shape our perception of ourselves and the world around us. Our inner beliefs and attitudes significantly influence our actions, decisions, and ultimately, our destiny.
God’s word continuously invites us to renew our minds (Romans 12:2), a call to cast aside the chains of negativity and embrace thoughts that align with His truth and promises. Positive thinking guided by faith moves mountains, bringing us peace and joy amid trials. Visualization, under the perspective of faith, is not about conjuring whims but about seeing through the eyes of hopeful expectancy that God is at work in our lives.
Through the lens of positivity and faith, we can reshape our understanding and step into the promises of God with confidence. When our hearts are aligned with His word, we become genuinely transformed, living expressions of His love and power. As we invite God to reshape our thoughts, we open ourselves to His divine plans and purpose for us.
Actions to Take

  1. Begin each day by meditating on a positive Bible verse to set the tone for your thoughts.
  2. Practice gratitude daily, thanking God for blessings both big and small, redirecting your focus towards positivity.
  3. Visualize your dreams and goals while praying to God for guidance and anchoring them in His promises.
  4. Surround yourself with people who speak life and positivity into your existence.
  5. Regularly review moments where God manifested His goodness in your life, keeping a positive focus on His faithfulness.
Journal Prompts
  1. What negative thought patterns am I holding onto, and how can I replace them with God’s promises?
  2. Describe a situation where positive thinking and visualization have brought you peace and clarity.
  3. Write down three things you’re grateful for today and see how God’s hand has been in them.
  4. What biblical truth can you meditate on to enhance your positive thinking today?
  5. Envision your life five years from now, rooted in faith. What does that look like?
Prayer Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of a sound mind capable of seeing beyond the immediate and visualizing Your promises. Help me to align my thoughts with Your truth, casting away negativity that seeks to consume me. Teach me to fix my eyes on what is noble, pure, and worthy of praise, trusting that as I do, You are shaping a magnificent future for me. In every thought, may Your love and wisdom guide me. Amen.

2024.11.30 01:30 molinariandref PS3 Exclusive Game Collection (Including Titles Also Released for PS Vita, for example)

Hey everyone!
I’m starting to collect PlayStation 3 exclusive games, but with a little twist: I also want to include games that, even though they were released for PS Vita, I consider exclusive to Sony. So, if a game came out for both PS3 and PS Vita, I’d still count it as part of my PS3 exclusive collection.
One example is PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which is a Sony exclusive but came out for PS3 and also got a PS Vita version. When I checked the list of PS3 exclusives on Wikipedia, I noticed that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale isn't included, probably because it came out for both PS3 and PS Vita, so they don’t count it as "exclusive" to PS3. However, that’s not the rule I’m going by for my collection.
Another example is Beyond: Two Souls. It was exclusive to PS3 when it first launched, but now it’s not anymore since it was ported to other platforms, like PC. Even so, I’m still interested in adding it to my PS3 exclusive collection.
I’ve been having trouble finding a full and accurate list of PS3 "exclusive" games, since a lot of the lists I find online don’t include games like the ones I mentioned. My worry is that I’ll miss out on some games I don’t know about and won’t grab them. Anyone know of a more detailed list or have suggestions for other games that fit this criteria?
Thanks!

I’m looking to make a move from public accounting with partnership tax experience to an industry corporate tax role. I was hoping I can get some insight on how I can leverage my partnership tax experience during interviews.
I feel like all job openings are requiring asc 740 experience, which I dont have. For some background I’m a senior with two years of experience. The industry I’m in is pretty niche.
