Is it accessible via the financial aid section on Campus Connect like the tuition scholarships where its sole purpose is for reducing tuition costs? Or is it in check form since it’s a prize, not a traditional application?

 | Something happened when I placed a pick up order for a sticky dates body spray and it didn’t go through on their end but I got charged, I disputed it and I was refunded my money quickly. Just here to say I appreciate how nice lush associates are 95% of the time! I explained what happened and I, of course, understood since it’s the holidays and a crazy time that mistakes happen. I just bought the sticky dates in store and got my refund for the other, but on my way out the worker that was helping me gave me a free bath bomb😊😊 I work customer service so little things like that are always very appreciated. And I’m absolutely in love with the body spray. However, for me it was a spray I had to let myself get used to. At first it felt way too strong like pure caramel syrup. After I’ve used it now a few more times, I’m absolutely in love. It’s like I always have a faint smell of butterscotch candies on me. It’s not too strong but it def projects well. I'm not sure if this is the right sub, but please help. I have a friend who just failed her board exam a few days ago and wala na ako balita sa kanya since then. I tried messaging her pero puro seenzoned lang. I'm starting to worry about her. What's heartbreaking is, she's the only one who failed at her batch. May nag advice kasi sa akin na give her time raw pero dina kinakaya ng anxiety ko. I don't know what to do :(

2024.11.30 01:46 calihotsauce Anyone increase their basement height by digging?
Have a basement with 6ft ceiling, just 1ft short of being in code, and every article keeps telling me it’s cheaper to just lift your house to get more ceiling space. In my case my basement is only partially below grade so I can’t imagine it would be cheaper to cut my house at the heel, including a 10 step stoop and garage, to then raise it 1 or 2 feet. This would cut through the basement too as half of it is above ground.
Even if it is more expensive I think functionally my home would be better if the basement floor was simply 1 or 2 feet lower rather than raising it. Because if I raised it then all of a sudden my main floor would be more of a second floor and the basement would effectively be the first floor which would be horrible if it ever came time to sell. It would also mean more steps to climb every day to get to the main living area. So I think practically going 1 or 2 feet down is the way to go.
Does anyone have first hand experience digging? Was curious about the timelines and any unforeseen things that could impact the budget for this kind of thing.

I completed some units 8 years ago at QUT for social work. I then switched to psychology and unfortunately faced various issues that lead me to going part time and then eventually ceasing studies all together. I got my diploma in child youth family intervention in the mean time and have been working in the sector consistently (child safety residential, disability support, mental health support, alcohol and other drugs and now a case manager for at risk young people in the community).
I decided to finally return to complete my social work degree. Had they accepted my RPL, I would have needed only another 2 years of full time study. However my credit was rejected saying that the time lapse between completion of the units was too long. But on the UQ website it says credit for units completed can be accepted in a 10 year gap. When I appealed the decision on these grounds they advised I must submit my case to the dean and they will consider it.
Do I have any other recourse? It states on their site that my Timelapse from completing the credit it acceptable so why should I have to jump through these hoops?

I work for an airline and I’ve been close friends with my “customer”( a woman that works for the company I’m contracted for) She is not my boss, she has no say or power over my positions as I’m a lead and she’s not my direct boss. (Key note here) We recently have been getting closer as she’s opened up to me about her open dating lifestyle and the fact that her and her wife are getting divorced. I recently got out of a relationship with somebody that was 30 years old from an Asian country. She helped me get over that hurdle and reflect on the break up. Recently we’ve been going dancing together and we both have developed feelings. She is 36 and I am 19. Neither of us want to have a committed relationship and just enjoying one-another’s company. I didn’t initially tell her my age for a whole year as I don’t appreciate the leverage people have over me when they find out. My question to you parents:
How should I feel about my mother imposes her fears on me about the age gap? I don’t generally share with her the partners I engage with because every time I bring someone up, she has something fear-based to say about it.
I don’t want a committed relationship with this woman, it is a fun fling and I will be moving in August so this is incredibly short lived. She is also on the same page.
Am I wrong for feeling guilty for enjoying this woman? I don’t look at age gaps as something that’s determining but I do recognize that older people have more experience, are not dependent on their parents anymore, and generally know what they’re looking for as opposed to someone entering their 20’s just getting started.
