2024.11.30 01:51 chocolategirl04 Should be friends be treating me like this?
I (F19) am currently studying at uni in the UK and live with 5 other girls in a student house (this is our second year living together - (student accom before)). I have been seeing my boyfriend since spring this year)
Last year me and all my house mates were extremely close constantly going on nights out hanging out in the kitchen but this year (since September) I feel like they are treating me differently. Whereas before I used to hang out with them loads (they don’t really have other friends at uni apart from eachother). I spend a little less time with them now due to having a bf. Usually he will come to stay at mine normally 1 night max 2 nights a week. (It’s hard for me to go see him as I’m in uni and he isn’t and we are mid-distance). And I FaceTime him for an hour ish most evenings.
But I feel like they have taken it to heart that I’m not spending as much time with them. Sometimes I go in the kitchen and I try and speak to them and they just kinda carry on their convos between themselves and vaguely acknowledge me. Or I’ll have to speak 3 times to get their attention. I feel like if I didn’t fight for their attention first they wouldn’t really acknowledge me or be bothered to speak to me. It almost feels like they think im not interesting enough to talk to anymore because I’m in a healthy relationship whereas they can gossip about different boys they met on nights out and stuff. It’s getting hard for me to balance uni work, seeing my bf and seeing my house mates. And I panic because I think if I spend less time with them they are going to ignore me even more and they are my closest friends at uni. Therefore I keep forcing myself to go into the kitchen even though I know they will just not really speak to me most of the time. Sometimes they will turn their back to me and speak between themselves For context we were so close last year constantly chatting together and if I wasn’t in the kitchen they would knock on my door and ask me to come in. And they would include me so much more like we were all equally close with each other. I don’t know what’s happened this year. Because I haven’t changed my behaviour with them. I’ve been lovely towards them always asking about their day and stuff but I don’t seem to get the same effort back anymore . It’s like if I’m not in the kitchen for a few hours or even 1 night (they also always stay up until like 2 am in there) because I’m doing uni work or FaceTiming my bf for a little bit they seem to almost punish me for it. Like I have other things going on in my life that’s not just sitting in the kitchen every night. Idk. I don’t really know why they are acting like this with me and it’s making me quite upset. Even though I have a bf I still make time to hang out with them. Also last year there would be times when they would stay in their uni rooms for hours why is it different if I do it sometimes. I feel like I get no me time anymore because I’m always trying to please someone

2024.11.30 01:51 No-Net9071 Where is better to live for 6 months as a foreigner. Paris or Madrid?
I’m an early 30’s Australian girl and want to get a 6 months student visa to study a language in a different country. I’m interested in learning both Spanish and French so can’t decide. I’m super social so I feel like it might be easier to make friends with Spanish people, worried it will be too hard to break into French friendship groups. Also not a huge fan of the cold. Also I’ve never been to Madrid. I’ve been to Paris years ago for a week and loved it, could imagine myself living there but I’m not sure if that’s just a stupid fantasy and I’d actually hate it there and be lonely. Also open to other suggestions.. is there another big city in Spain this would be better? I’ve only ever visited Barcelona and don’t think I’d live there. Saville seems to be popular but I don’t know if it would be better than Madrid? I looked at Berlin but the problem I’m having is, you have to have a certain amount of money in your account for your student visa to be accepted. The amount for Germany is a lot higher than France and Spain so I’ve crossed that one off the list.

2024.11.30 01:51 Chocolate-Bookie hello, I'm very sad tonight
so I broke up with him a few months ago but he still says that he's gonna kill himself if I block him so I am in everyday contact with him. And I know people r like just block him, but he has my family's info, he has called them and overall I don't want him to hurt himsef. He's called my family in the middle of the night before to tell them that I'm not a "good girl". I'm scared they're gonna kick me out, he's 16000 km away from me but hes still controlling me even after the break up. I thought I'd be happy again but it might be even worse. I am his and I can't do anything about it. hes not letting me leave him in any way. I'm stuck and scared. I feel so abused, I want this to be over. he made my friends leave me by sending a video of me being abused by him and crying. I have nobody. idk what to do. please help me I'm so scared i can't escape in any way. his family also encourages him and scares me. I have no one. I'm so scared.

2024.11.30 01:51 quane101 Why be a crab in a bucket…
Just had a little argumentative discussion with my sisters about her complaining that the new proud family show has gay characters in it and how that’s bad to push that on children.
She has a multitude of children, and have openly dated women in the past, in front of them!
I took that opportunity to call out those belief holes and hypocrisy.
She said she “got my view” but still think it’s just in one ear out the other.
Like the hypocrisy, double standards and imaginary problems.
Why do people like this conflate being not straight with being sexual and obscene, especially when you don’t even practice what you preach!

2024.11.30 01:51 Anarkia_ Heat not working in my Q2 after issues with coolant
Hi there! A couple of weeks ago, a light came up on the dashboard and I had to stop to refill the coolant, the tank was empty! (but most likely still coolant in the system itself). As I was far from a shop, I refilled with water enough to get to the next rest stop, and bought coolant, top the tank back to max.
Last week it got chilly, I switched the heat on, and noticed it doesn't work. Some warm air at best, no real heat.
Is it related to the coolant issue I had? Maybe a bubble of air stuck somewhere? Opinion and advice warmly welcome!
(PS: Yes I can take it to the shop but paid $900 last month for service - can't afford to go back there for now! and YES it weird the coolant tank was empty 2 weeks after service... I think they didn't lock the plug properly and the coolant pressure-leaked out. I'm pissed but can't prove it)

No podemos permitirnos testigos.
- No, todavía no - respondió Arthur, impaciente.
- Tranquilo, Arthur.
- Gracias, jefe. Fue fácil - dijo Arthur, con orgullo.
- Vamos, vamos. No perdamos tiempo.
- No, nada.
No había pasajeros, sino soldados.
- ¡Maldito bastardo! ¡Nos has engañado! - le acusó Arthur, indignado.
- No, no les he engañado.
¡Te mataremos a ti y a tus hombres! - amenazó Arthur, sacando su revólver.
- ¡No seas estúpido, Arthur! ¡No tienes ninguna posibilidad! ¡Somos más, y estamos mejor armados! ¡Ríndete, y quizás te ahorremos el sufrimiento! - le ofreció el soldado, con burla.
- ¡Nunca me rendiré! ¡Prefiero morir luchando!
- ¡Dutch! ¡Es una trampa! ¡El tren está lleno de soldados! ¡Nos han tendido una emboscada! - gritó Arthur, mientras disparaba a los soldados.
- ¡Qué! ¡Cómo! ¡Por qué! - exclamó Dutch, incrédulo.
- ¡No hay tiempo para explicaciones, Dutch! ¡Tenemos que salir de aquí! ¡Estamos rodeados! - le dijo Arthur, desesperado.
- ¡Maldición! ¡Esto es una pesadilla! ¡Vamos, chicos! ¡A luchar!
- ¡Arthur! ¡Gracias! ¡Me has salvado la vida!
- No me debes nada, Lenny.
- ¡Maldito seas, Favours! ¡Te voy a matar! ¡Te voy a hacer pagar por esto! - le gritó Dutch, furioso.
- ¡No me hagas reír, Dutch! ¡Tú eres el que va a pagar! ¡Tú y toda tu banda de criminales! ¡Os voy a colgar a todos! ¡Os voy a hacer justicia! - le respondió el coronel Favours, con odio.
- ¡Justicia!

2024.11.30 01:51 yes_it_is_21 Cartoon making workflow suggestions
Hi there,
A friend of mine has a very sick little girl and she wanted me to generate some images for some stories she has written for her daughter.
So basically she has about 10 to 12 paragraphs and she wants an image per paragraph / page basically.
The key is keeping the heroine of the story consistent and the villian (dragon for one, a weird look creature, a mastermind for when she is a superhero).
So basically I can use the stuff she has written as prompts and can elaborate on the scene to build that out but want to keep the character looking consistent.
Does anyone know of a workflow that may exist for this. Looking on civitai and openart but no luck.
