Hello, I’ve been using industry compatible key settings for blender from the beginning since I’m more comfortable with Maya keys. (Q W E R keys and alt + left click are the only reason though lol)
When watching tutorials, I cannot use most of the short keys people tell me to use
I just feel like if I wanted to get better, I’d have to use the original blender key settings.. or do you guys think I can manage with the industry compatible settings?
I’ve been trying to find an addon that just changes move, rotate, scale keys and movement but I really cannot find one.
Just thinking about using the original keys gives me a headache.. any tips?

So, the concept of a mage/magic user that use this thing i called hazard/peril meter instead of mana is actually been stuck with me for a while but never got the chance to flesh it out. And on the other hand, maybe having 2 passive and 4 skill would be too complex. Also there already other magic damage hero that didn't use mana but, eh. It's just an idea. Maybe you guys can make a better ajustment for this guy
Back story: Sangodele was born to a family of merchant. He grew up traveling across the vast desert plains of Agelta, witnessing the diversity of cultures and landscapes. Yet he found no joy in his nomadic youth, he would view his parents trades as dull and uninteresting. Added with myriad tales he heard of warriors and sorcerer form far away land would make Sangodele dream of a life filled with greatness, a pursuit of glory. yearning for something beyond the haggling and survival, he would see his parent’s current life as a hinderance from achieving glory.
His mundane life would meet a sudden halt when a group of marauders ambushed his caravan one unlucky night. As chaos ensue, and as the caravan guard clashed with the bandit, Sangodele found himself cornered by one of the attackers. Unbidden, something within him ignited. A surge of raw, uncontrollable energy erupted from his hands, blasting the bandit away. The incident left him shaken and exhilarated. He had discovered a power buried deep within him, a gift for magic. His father would see this newfound power with fear and suspicion, unnerved by the destructive force he had unleashed. But his mother knew that his power would be dangerous if left uncontrolled. Knowing a merchant’s nomadic life isn’t a life for someone with magic ability, his parent would set him to a path toward the magic academy, far on the other side of the world. A journey that he must undertake alone.
Months passed when he finally arrived Northern Vale, a cold and unforgiving region renowned for it’s tales of brave champions. There he believed the magic academy would help him refine and harness his magic. His dream would be shattered when the academy rejected him, claiming his power is to fickle and unruly. Bitter and disillusioned, Sangodele knew he can’t come back to his parents and tarnish the family’s image. His predicament leaved him with little choice but to become a drifter, selling his skill as a mercenary. His path would eventually lead him to Los Pecados. A city where money, greed, violence and ambition held power.
There, his raw magical prowess made him a valuable asset to his client, but his lack of control often left destruction in his wake. His reputation would only grow and eventually his raw, destructive talent would earn him a spot on a notorious crime syndicate. As he rising through their ranks, he would start installing experimental bionic augmentation to enhance his magic ability. At one point, he would chop off his right arm and replace it with a tri power-scourge embedded with elemental runestone. All these upgrades would come with a cost however. The crude, black-market tech slowly warp his mind, reducing him into a unhinged yet stoic character whose calm exterior hide a volatile madness.
Now, driven by arrogance, ambition and the pursue of perfection. Sangodele became one the most notorious mercenary. He approaches ever battle with cold, calculating confidence, masking the turbulent chaos within while his mind is teetering at the edge of sanity

So this past Monday I took the ASVAB under a coast guard recruiter (idk if that matters). I’m currently 23 and have been an electrician since high school but the coast guard interested me because I have always wanted to save lives and the whole Search and Rescue aspect of it seems like a calling, especially since my dream job is to be a firefighter. My recruiter was telling me MK rate would give me the best chance to do SAR stuff while also continuing my mechanical knowledge.
The thing is the whole dangerous operations and being “in the shit” aspect of it seems like it’d be great to look back on when I’m 50 if that makes sense. I’ve done enough dirty and dangerous shit as an electrician so I don’t mean to sound corny or like hot shit but basically I don’t want a desk job, I want something that’s hands on saving people etc. . Problem is I’ve heard the coast guard is more so a 9-5 job.
When I was at NY MEPS taking the ASVAB I gotta give it to you guys. There’s just something different about Marines, I guess the way you guys carry yourselves it just comes off as professional and real. Am I insane for kind of thinking about the Marine Corps instead of the Coast Guard for the sake of the “embrace the military suck” and “uniform professionalism and pride” kind of stuff?

Good morning. So I have been pondering since last night about this. And i was wondering if you guys could give me some insights so that I can understand and make a better decision.
I am someone in my mid-20s with a very diverse experience, who really wants to be a businessman. In fact, noong bata pa talaga ako, yung sinasagot ko dati was that I want to be someone who would own a big company. Hahaha. Anyway, a little background about me, I have a degree in agriculture, graduated with latin honors, studied medicine (for a while), worked in the bank (for a while) and now currently employed as a research associate at an NGO (— a private entity of a state University). I recently passed my licensure exam as well with a pretty high score (albeit not part of 10 ten). Just putting it out there for context.
Right now, my work is related to agricultural research. But it’s not the laboratory type and I also don’t plant things. My job right now deals more with people. Basically, we try to get insights from farmers, indigenous people, businessmen, and officials from the government to improve R&D and existing policies. We also provide trainings din regarding the technical side of agriculture and also teach them how to market their products. As nice as my job sounds, I am only assisting haha. Di pa talaga yung major, since I am not the head. But since I work directly with the head, I am learning a lot kase sometimes I do the work my boss can’t do. And I also befriended the people at admin, and I help them out as well. So yeah ang dami ko talagang na lelearn.
Now, the reason why I am asking this…is because I asked myself kagabi where I would go from here. As I’ve mentioned before, madami na kase akong napagdaanan. And I Ieft them in favor of my mental health. Not because I failed or got fired anything.
Yung job ko right now is okay. My pay is higher than most people my age probably earn. I get to help people and contribute to society while I’m at it, which is kinda fulfilling. We travel a lot, I get to eat alot and lesser lang din yung overtime compared to medschool and banking. I also got to network with different people. Albeit for my level (in my work), not the big time pa. Pero on a personal level, I have met big time people na. Since I do come from a privileged background.
Yung downside lang siguro sa work ko now (if i pursue this career path) is I’d most likely just become like my boss— an employee… which honestly, is not the kind of life I want for myself long term. Kase yung ginagawa nya, is parang trabaho ko lang now but more stressful. Since more responsibilities. Buti sana if her pay balances her stress. Sadly, her socio-economic status is also something I don’t aspire to have in the future.
Now a lot of people would say, why not pursue both since you come from a privileged family naman. And honestly, I am annoyed when I hear people say that. Kase, di ko naman pera yan, plus my parents already did their gastos when they sent me to medschool, which didn’t work out the way they planned. So now, I really want to do things on my own terms na. Some people tell me to pursue Masters as well, kase madami dawng MS sa degree ko. And I am also considering that… But then there’s just this very big what if in my head… like what if I pursue an MBA instead of MS. So I asked myself, why MBA… my brain would simply answer, because you like to create things and always add your own flair to it. You like to help people, but you also like to gain profit from it (in a good way, like getting paid for your work).

I am a singer, songwriter, and producer. I’m far from famous and have always been down for artist collaboration, as long as they have the experience to hold up their end.
About a year ago, a friend of mine asked me to help him get started making music. I was reluctant, as I have always felt the need to improve my own art and focus on myself and pushing my music and brand first, however I agreed to help, once in a while, when I had the chance.
He had no prior experience, and no knack for music (rhythm, timing, writing, singing, instrumentation).
The first time we sat down to write, I produced and wrote a song about his gf, based off of things that he told me about her, while he went on Instagram on and off, and gave uninspired options for lines, and bad production tips (tapping the piano keys aimlessly, and then giving up when he couldn’t play).
We then took around 4 hours to record his lead vocals (generally ALL VOCALS take me 1-4 hours to record myself) and they did not sound good. I then had to go through on my own time and pitch correct the majority of his vocal lines.
This process repeated a couple more times over the span of a few months, but when he moved away, I thought I had escaped this situation, until a mutual friend told me that the guy claimed to be “focusing on music” and “working on his pen game”.
He then released the first song we had ever made, onto streaming services, without telling me. I don’t really have a problem with the fact that I was uncredited. My problem is that he claims to be “making music” now, even though I wrote the songs/produced them, and they were terrible. They’re demos (on a vocal, instrumental, and mix level) that none of our friends think are good. I don’t think they’re good.
This would be easy enough to shrug off, but whenever we talk or when he comes to the city to visit, he begs to work on the last demo we had tried to put together last year, and shows me additions he made in his notes that aren’t good. The timing is still off, he doesn’t know how to deliver them, and the lyrics are so generic and awkward.
I am still trying to work on my own thing. I am still a small artist, with “great potential” according to everyone I know in the underground scene, and many people in my city. I don’t have the time or energy to make shitty music for someone else to call their own. If he would apply himself and learn some independence and skills, I’d be very open to making stuff together, but I have many more talented friends that I’d rather make music with.
I still want to be his friend. I know this is a weird post here, but I’m trying to see if anyone can relate. What did you do to combat this? How do I tell him he doesn’t have a chance unless he improves by himself?
