I'm trying to decide between these skis. I'm an advanced skier. I am looking for an all mountain freeride ski. Something playful with a twin tip that can still hold its own in a bit of powder. I like to find side hits for 1s and 3s, skiing switch, and going in and out of trees, quick maneuvers etc. After researching my own and reddits help, I've kinda narrowed it down to a few skis:
Dynastar M-Free 99 Nordica Unleashed 98 K2 Reckoner 102 Atomic Bent 100 Fischer Ranger 96
The M-Free 99 is kind of my frontrunner right now, heard good things about it's ability in powder despite just being 99.
But I wanted an unbiased opinion. Which of these skis stands out to you? I'd love to hear first hand testimonials from any of these skis.
Also, given I'm 5'10" 165lbs, what length would be good? I'm thinking around 180? What is the big noticable difference between skiing a 177 vs a 185? Some lengths aren't available in some of the skis, so I wanted to know what would be a length to shoot for, or will it not make a huge difference? First time buying myself new skis (and I'm overthinking a lot of it) so I just wanna cover all bases.

Hello,
I'm planning to buy these speakers soon. I was hoping they'd go on sale, but it seems like they might just not at all, lol. But anyway, since it's sale-season currently I thought I would get a subwoofer as well if I could find a decent sale on one.
Since I'm already spending a lot on these, I'm honestly looking for something quite cheap. Like 100-150 on sale. I guess if you have recommendations in the 200-300 range, then one could be on sale for this much and I can go look.
I'm primarily buying this for music production purposes (as well as listening too, of course!)
Thanks for any advice! I'm not really sure what to look for in a sub, I've never bought one standalone before.

2024.11.30 03:40 FinalsMVPZachZarba The AirPods Pro 2 are worthless for high frequency and/or one-sided hearing loss
I have severe high frequency hearing loss in my right ear, and I purchased a pair of AirPods Pro 2 to see if I could use them in hearing aid mode to help improve my hearing.
I paired them to an iPad running iOS 18.1 and took the hearing test, which produced an audiogram similar to my professional hearing test. However, even though I had over 70 dB hearing loss at 8 kHz in my right ear on the audiogram, the app summarized this as 25 dBHL: Little or no hearing loss - which appeared to be some sort of average over all frequencies. It then recommended that I did not need to turn on hearing aid mode, despite the fact that I have serious difficulty hearing conversations, especially in the presence of background noise.
I manually turned on hearing aid mode, but I noticed absolutely no improvement hearing speech when attempting to listen to a YouTube video with someone talking playing on my desktop computer speakers on low volume. In fact I could better with them out of my ears than with them in.
Next I went into the hearing aid adjustments in Settings > AirPods Pro > Hearing Assistance > Adjustments to see if I could manually adjust any settings to make them more effective. I first verified that hearing aid mode was indeed on. Then I turned the amplification up to the max. This had somewhere between a very tiny effect and absolutely no effect as far as I could tell. Again I could still hear better with the AirPods out.
Next I tried moving the balance all the way to the right, since my right ear is the one with hearing loss. This had the effect of reducing noise in my left ear, but again I noticed no improvement in my hearing.
I tried adjusting the ambient noise reduction setting, which appeared to work as intended, but again did nothing to help my hearing.
Finally I turned on "Conversation Boost". This added a lot of noise and essentially made it sound like I was in a wind tunnel, but it did not make speech any easier to hear - in fact it made it more difficult.
Given that there is only an "amplification" setting, I don't think these are designed to aid with high frequency hearing loss in any way. There does not appear to be any concept of amplifying some frequencies more than others. Even with that said the amplification setting seemed to be doing a very poor job at amplifying everything equally, as far as I could tell.
It is also possible that the software chose not to amplify anything because my left air does not need any assistance, since there is no way to tell it that I want my right ear corrected and I only plan to wear the right AirPod. I suspect that both this and amplifying specific frequencies are not supported.

I bought the zebralight H600w Mk IV H600w Mk IV 18650 XHP35 Neutral White Headlamp about 5 years ago and use it all the time when working on my car, but also bought it for night skiing and hiking. why was it discontinued? I guess not very popular. I don't see a comparable alternative in their lineup.

My fiance and I are eloping in the Back Bay area near the Boston public library, on a Friday afternoon in January 2025. We are going to be dressed up and are going to have around 15 friends meet us for a drink at a bar near by. But we can't decide on a spot! Any suggestions we haven't thought of yet? We would like a nice vibe and maybe dancing. Music preference would be pop (today and 90s).
Places we have considered and our thoughts:
Blind duck- super cool vibe and amazing views. Really classy. Maybe too small and the music is a bit too lounge. Maybe we could go somewhere less upright second?
Trophy room-a little too bright and almost sports pub feeling. Also a gay bar and we are a straight couple. I'm sure they wouldn't be mad, but I hate to impose when straight people have so many options, to jam up their safe space.
Kartel- dark cool vibe, playing today's hits but not super upbeat, more moody music. A little small and maybe toooo dark?
Wink & nod-feels very restauranty? Possibly some cool areas to hang out but doesn't feel as romantic as some other places, or as fun as the others. Maybe too middle of the road?
