Hi! I’m thinking of taking a job in Madison! But I’m a bit worried about the city and how I’ll like it.
Some background: I’ve lived in NYC, DC, SF, Austin and Baltimore. I liked those cities in that order as well. Austin was too sleepy for me with no diversity and everything was a pay to play situation… and even when you did pay, it would be a really sad sight. I love DC and SF and NY because something is always going on, it’s very diverse and each part of it is so different.
It’s unfortunate because the job I loved the most was in Austin and I found a 10000% similar job in Madison.
Based on this, do you think I’d like it?

My female coworker who I am somewhat close with admitted to having a crush on me and idk how I feel. I never would’ve thought she would’ve felt that way. We go way back, grew up in the same area, went to the same high school but drifted away during college, absolutely gorgeous girl. We both ended up landing jobs in a new state at the same company. Moving rekindled our relationship, at work we keep things professional, we never flirt never cross lines things are strictly business. We will go out for the occasional happy hour drink after a long day and vent about work. We naturally vibe really well. We can sit and talk about anything and everything, and I must admit I have opened up to her in some ways. Just hearing a females perspective on relationship advice who isn’t bias.
Here we are 7 months later after we’ve reconnected. She comes out one afternoon after a couple of drinks at happy hour and expresses how she has a crush on me. It completely blind sided me because we’ve always been great friends. At one point in time I did have a crush on her in Highschool, however over the years we developed a great friendship that I wouldn’t want to ruin, besides I’m in a relationship anyway. When she expressed this to me I really was in shock, she told me she would never cross that line, and she has much respect for my relationship , and she is rooting for my gf and I, at the same time she likes me.
I have to be honest and say for some time now I have felt something between us, however I would never initiate that convo because i am committed in my relationship, although i feel a mutual connection . Her admitting this made me open up and share that I have felt something as well for some time. HOWEVER, I would never put us in a position to lose our careers, not only that ruin our friendship and lastly cheat on my partner.
We are both mature enough that we had a good conversation about both of our feelings, but both agreed it is just a feeling and nothing more. She was very straight forward about not crossing boundaries, but just had to let me know how she felt.
Should I distance myself from my coworker?

I've been binging cooking shows recently and saw the ads for harry potter. I was never really a huge fan of the books, but I tried watching some episodes and it's honestly really interesting. Maybe it's just the season, but seeing the fun cakes & sweets decorated to fit the whimsical vibe is rlly comforting for staying inside. I wonder what others think of the series?

My managers at my location are trying to have servers share sections to have 2 servers maintain constant refills for the guests in an attempt to raise Speed of Service.
Is this allowed?? Alot of servers are upset at this change and want to know if this is allowed. I feel like I am not quite satisfied with this as well but would like to know of other olive garden experiences before bringing up a complaint to the managers.

Cyberpunk is a game that is honestly not just a masterpiece, but a work of art, it explores and plays with human emotions more than any other game I've ever played. And all of this can be tied to our character, V.
Throughout the game we not only watch V and his or her experiences throughout the game, we become V and become a part of the cyberpunk universe. We're able to find love for people or things in night city, we feel romance with characters who we get to know, we feel regret for some of the things that we have caused and in the end it feels like we are the character.
Because we feel this way it's almost given that we will be passionate about an ending that we want for V, or ourselves. We want the ending that we chose to be the real one and for our decisions to be the real ones. Here's the thing: cyberpunk is a game which has no canon endings. It's up to you which ending is canon. You are V, you control your own life and decisions and choose your values and morals, night city teaches us to be free and to not let anyone else control us, to be free and have free will. We can apply this to what CDPR is trying to tell us too, we have to have free will and not let these game companies say what's right or wrong and what the right ending is, we have free will and we choose for our character.
CDPR is trying to tell us to control our life and to not let them say what's is canon, our canon is correct if we want it to be and we have to not let them tell us our lives, we must let go of their rights and wrongs.

I wanna post this in a way and get your opinions on this matter. So for context, I have a crush on this girl that works for the same company but in totally different departments, and there’s really no rules on fraternizing. Anyways we’ve been texting back and forth for over 6 months now, we went to lunch one day but it was short and only because I happened to be on her side of the street that day. I brought her a coffee to make up for being late for a meeting she was in charge of.
I really want to ask her on a date and explicitly put it like that. I’ve asked her to hangout outside of work but it’s always she’s busy with other things, or I have something else going on. I am on the fence whether or not she likes women, it is so hard to tell. But here where I want your point of view on this…
I am openly a lesbian and everyone in my company knows it, but again she works in a whole different department but we all interact on a daily basis.
So if you were her, would you catch the vibe if I constantly am asking you to hangout outside of work, or offer to bring you coffee for really no reason at all? Or would you catch that I’m crushing on you if I flirt with you through both text and when we are face to face?
Now if you were me, would you think she’s also flirting thru text when she addresses me by my official work title in a funny way (no one really cares about our job titles)? If you were me, what do you think of this when I send her a text and sometimes a week later she replies, and apologizes for not “seeing “ my messages before? (We both have our read receipts on)
I don’t know why but I haven’t had a crush in over 4 years, so I’m trying to play everything slow, get a birds eye view on everything, but also not put myself in a limerence position (which I feel I’m on the cusp of) and also, I feel for high school for having this big of a crush on her. As the title says I’m trying to get off Seroquel. When I was first diagnosed with bipolar 1 in 2014 the first thing they gave me was Seroquel. It worked well but I gained 40 lbs in about 6 months. Over the years I’ve tried many other things and have tried to stop Seroquel but I can never sleep. It’s like my body is dependent on it for sleep. Im down to 50 mg. I started Vraylar last week and was taken off Seroquel. I’m on a high dose of Trazadone and am able to sleep for about 4 hrs then I wake up restless. I’ve been getting about 5 hrs of sleep for the past week and I’m exhausted.
Just posting to see if anyone else has been able to successfully come off of Seroquel and how long it took to sleep again.
