It seems like she is never around her sisters very much. Especially the ones her age. She doesn’t seem to spend much time with Tori at all despite them being about a year apart. She doesn’t spend time with Katie either. She also doesn’t seem to spend much time with the other sisters in her age range: Michaela and Erin. Why do y’all think that is? I mean we have seen very Alyssa moments with Tori, Josie, Erin, and Michaela in many years.

I watched two movies with the new UC52 today, and I can finally say that I'm happy with every component of my system. Previously I was running a Micca RB42-C and then a single Wharfie 12.0, both of which always seemed quiet.
Dialogue is finally intelligible, front-and-center in the mix, and detailed! Fits perfectly in the cabinet and is front ported, so I think it's the best I could have done given my crappy space constraints. I have a neanderthal ear, but I didn't notice any timbre mismatch issues with the Dentons. Even panning dialogue sounds great to me.
Since this is /BudgetAudiophile, below is what I paid for everything in the 3.1 home theater. I started in 2015 with a pair of Klipsch bookshelves and an old Yamaha AVR I got for $150 off Craigslist. It's been a lot of fun to slowly upgrade within the constraints of a weird old house, WAF, and budget. Next up, 5.1!

 | Opened a box of 2021-22 ICE, 2022-23 clear cut, 2022-23 ultimate. Tad bit disappointing with the box breaks this time around. Not horrible but not great. My LCS has the clear cut box on sale for $99 CAD. And I felt as though that is definitely worth the risk. This time around it definitely did not pay off. Hi everyone, I’m 21 years old and I recently migrated to the U.S. in October 2024. I’m looking for some advice and perspective on joining the military, specifically the Air Force.
A little background: Back in my home country, I was a year away from graduating with a degree in Data Science, but my parents want me to return to finish it after I get my green card and re-entry permit. I’ve been thinking about the military for a while now, and while my initial plan was to go for an intel position, I realized that requires U.S. citizenship, which I currently don’t have.
Now, I’m considering my options. One route is joining as an officer straight away, especially because I have a degree (or would soon, after finishing my degree back home). However, I’ve heard from some relatives, including a retired Army member, that officers who join right out of college without military experience often don’t get much respect from enlisted members. This is something I’m trying to weigh heavily in my decision.
On the other hand, I also want to avoid starting from the very bottom. Is there any way to join as something like an E5 or skip the typical "bottom of the barrel" experience, especially with a degree already under my belt?
My main goal for joining the Air Force is to stabilize myself, gain discipline, and get the benefits that come with military service, such as the GI Bill and VA Loan. Plus, I’m looking for personal growth, both mentally and physically, so I’m not only thinking about the career but also about the life experience.
So, what do you think? Should I join as an officer right away, or is it better to go through the enlisted route, gain some experience, and then see where it leads? What are the pros and cons of each route?
Would love to hear thoughts from those who’ve been through this or have advice based on their experiences. Thanks!

I (20F) and my partner (19M) have been together since we were 16 y/o. I’m basically writing this to confirm what I think is abuse and ask some ideas about how to walk away.
This behavior started about a year ago in our first year @ college. He started become more aggressive with everything in his life. He’s never laid a hand on me or thrown anything but his words are terrible.
An example of this was the other day I told him to stop interrupting me to just talk about himself (this is a everyday thing I can’t talk about anything) and he lost his ever loving mind. I stayed calm and walked into my bathroom and he was screaming at the top of his lungs and told me I treat him terrible and I’m a b*tch. He was banging on the bathroom door and I was scared for the first time ever by him. He could see I was visibly shaken up by the screaming and door banging (had a emotionally abusive parent growing up & he knows this) and said “why are you flinching like I’m going to hit u ur life isn’t that bad.” And when I told him he scared me and he said “well u still haven’t apologized” something about that sentence just flipped a switch in my brain.
He is genuinely my biggest hater, everything I do he “jokes” about is just something about me, he mocks me, and loudly makes a “shhh” noise at me when he wants me to stfu. He just picks me apart it’s hard. Obviously this isn’t all of it but that event the other day really just made me feel awful
I know all this is kinda jumbled up but I hate that I can recognize this but can’t find the courage to walk away I’m scared of what he would do.
