2024.11.30 04:34 mtpugh67 I advertised a used LEGO set as 99.9% complete. The buyer says it is actually 99.6% complete and is asking for a refund.
I don't sell on eBay often. I just sell used LEGO sets. So I'm just looking for advice here. I sold a used LEGO set with over 2500 pieces recently. I bought the set used, purchased the missing pieces through Bricklink, rebuilt it, and displayed it for a year. I sold it last week through a listing where I stated "It's possible I may have missed another piece or two, but to my knowledge only one piece is missing." I've definitely learned my lesson about saying this kind of thing. In the title I listed it as 99.9% complete.
Today the buyer contacted me and said they found 10 missing pieces (which I find hard to believe). Which equals about 99.65% complete. I offered to send them all the missing pieces on my dime but they declined. They were friendly but asked for a refund. They said they would pay for shipping (I don't even know if this is an option with eBay). They also mentioned something about a partial refund (again I don't know if this is an option through eBay).
I'm just not sure how to proceed really. I want to do the right thing, which I guess is offering a return and full refund. I'm just having a hard time believing them. Can I do a partial refund and let them keep it? Or is that not allowed with eBay?

Every day I think about how my old treasurer stole around 80k from us. She was treasurer for a year then president. The rumor was that she intentionally taught her replacements how to do the job wrong so that she wouldn’t get caught once she left. She got caught 2 years after her grad
So I just wonder how did she get away with it. Pretty sure she did it by 1) Depleting the savings and blaming the low money in the savings account on lost past EC’s 2) using the card to make a shit ton of Amazon purchases and covering it up. 3) she made a huge deal her treasurer year saying that we HAD to raise dues bc the savings was oh so low. We fell for it and voted to raise our dues $20 a month. And that helped cover it all up.
She got found out when a later treasurer was going through the records. I know the financial advisor was deemed innocent but incompetent and asked to leave. But I’m just wondering how do you theorize that she got away with it? Is there no one double checking everything? Is the advisor the only one really holding treasurers accountable? Is the treasurer the only one with access to the card expenditures.
Let it be a lesson though. Don’t try it. She got caught and is on a payback plan with hella interest. No jail time alas bc the sorority wanted to avoid the media.

I’m a 27 year old female. Today someone at work had pointed out one of my earlobes looks bruised. It’s been 12 hours now and whatever the discoloration is hasn’t gone away. I don’t remember hitting it on anything or sleeping on it weird. I do have my ears pierced but got them done as a baby. I haven’t worn earrings in like 3 months. My father-in-law is and I have been bonding over wargames. Specifically, AOF : Skirmish, we both used to play GW games but have moved away from them. Recently, I used a miniature of The Shadow as a proxy in one of our games and he mentioned he was trying to collect those gold age pulp characters as minis (28mm being the scale we use the most). I have been searching for many of the classic characters but it seems I can not find a single licensed one.
I have tried to look, places like pulpfigures.com are cool and all but I want the exact figures. The closest I have found is Flash Gordon, Pinnacle sell them but they are sold out and I tried to check on Ebay and can not find them being resold.
Characters I am the most interested in are Tarzan, Flash Gordon, Phantom, John Carter, Buck Rogers, Doc Savage, Zorro or Green Llama but any others would also be welcomed.

 | One of my fondest memories was heading to a cybercafe in the evening to play GTA SA and sometimes I'd go with a friend and play Fifa 2008 and play it against him as the Desktops were connected through LAN. I remember it was in the infancy of internet becoming mainstream in my country so I had to write down all the cheats in a piece of paper. Hesoyam uzumymw Aezakmi and I'd take it to the cafe and play the hell out of it. Still even though since then I played through it once, I never actually beat it completely legit. The last time whenever I'd get stuck on a mission I'd download a save file, I did this for N.o.e, learning to fly, Freefall, etc and missed almost all of the cutscenes. But this time after a fully legit playthrough start to finish, man this game is going in one of my top 5. It is legitimately aside from all the dumb fun you can have in it, a very well written story that's guided by good gameplay.
