I just turned 28. I know that’s still young in many people’s eyes, and I’ve grown wiser than I ever was in my early twenties. But lately, I’ve been struggling with intense loneliness.
I do have friends—some online, some in person—and I keep in touch with a few who live out of state. Still, I find it difficult to form meaningful relationships, whether friendships or romantic ones. The thing is, when I do have close friends or a partner, the world feels vibrant and full of color again. But when I’m alone, even though I feel a certain freedom, that same solitude brings a deep sense of loneliness.
Sometimes I wonder if reaching out is even worth it—if it’s worth the hassle to try and seek out meaningful friendships, even though I deeply desire them. I delete dating apps on and off, unsure if they’ll ever lead to something genuine. I’m happy alone to an extent, but at the same time, I’m human. I crave connection. I keep searching for someone who shares the same heart as me, and some days, I wonder if I’ll ever find that.
For those who’ve been through their late twenties and beyond, how was this time in your life? Did things improve in your thirties or later? Will my thirties be just as lonely?
Sorry for the rant—I guess this is just me venting into the void.

Ich kann aus tiefster Überzeugung sagen, dass ich glücklich bin, mein Leben liebe etc. Ich habe eine tolle Frau (mit der ich auch offen über ALLES rede, war früher meine beste Freundin, Kind, Haus (also wirklich eben alles, was ich mir so ausgemalt habe)
Trotzdem träume ich manchmal von dieser einen Exfreundin. Sie war weder meine erste, noch meine letzte, jedoch die, die mich betrogen und belogen hat mit meinem besten Freund von der Arbeit. In der Phase von 6 Monaten (wir beide haben uns da nicht korrekt verhalten) ging es um den massivsten Schlagabtausch. Hin und her, on und Off, egos waren gekränkt. Der Sex war intensiv (aber auch nicht gesund). Ich hatte zeitweise 10-15% meines Körpergewichtes verloren. Jegliches Vertrauen war weg. Es ging nur um Besitz. Also kurz gefasst, eine Zeit die ich mir nicht zurückwünsche. Noch die Beziehung oder die Lügen etc. Sie wollte es damals nochmals probieren(liebe ihres Lebens etc), aber ich wollte nicht.
Nach der doch sehr chaotischen Zusammenfassung wollte ich euch Fragen, ob das irgendwie so ein überarbeitetes Trauma ist, oder wie ich das verarbeiten sollte. Das ganze ist schon fast 10 Jahre her und es herrscht auch kein Kontakt (falls das wichtig ist)
