I don't really know how to word this all besides just giving a quick family history regarding my mom and dad (Other people aren't too important in telling this). My mom came from an abusive relationship but always ready to be there for others. My dad came from a rough neighborhood and always provided for us. My dad had an affair when I was quite young but the woman got an abortion. I'd say that I matured quite fast because of my mannerisms and looks. I've never particularly considered my dad to be "out" of my life. I just know that he's working for the things I have and am appreciative of that, but it's not usually anything more. Late into COVID, he started to "work overtime", coming home later than usual. I picked up on this behavior being kind of suspicious, but I kept it to myself because "What do I know about work? I'm just a kid." It turns out that he lied to us for a year straight and the entire time that he was working overtime, he had another affair. This time, they didn't get an abortion. And to make things easier on himself (He's helping pay for a lot of his family's expenses at this point), the mom, her older son, and the affair baby start living with us. I didn't hold any resentment towards them and instead thought of them as like walking symbols of his affair. Suddenly, the once quiet house was filled with baby screams, baby talking, and a shit ton of cocomelon/paw patrol. The constant noises kind of just get to you over time as a quiet natured person (I also hate babies largely for this reason). The conflict started to happen around a month ago between my mom and dad because my mom got a job offer from Tesla. She didn't accept because it would be an immediate pay drop and she genuinely enjoys her current job. I don't exactly know why he didn't like this decision but in the end, he told my mom that she's not showing the same effort and ambitions that he is. She's going to stay at my brother's apartment until she can get a house/2 or 3 bedroom apartment for us and she invited me to stay with her. My dad then threatened to involve lawyers to get me back (I hate that) if my grades dropped or something like that. Now, we get to today's events when he had nearly an hour long talk with me as I had lunch. I was fully expecting to consider his words to be fake because of his past actions and move on, but then he began to cry around halfway through. He also went to my room and told me goodnight which he hardly ever does. His actions recently have just been so different from what his usual stone cold self and I don't know how to feel about it. I doubt I'd be able to mend my relationship with him due to his 2 affairs and overall treatment. The only real thing I know is that I'm not calling him dad at all (I've only been doing it on here for privacy and simplicity). How do I figure out my emotions about this? TL;DR: Dad makes an unexpectedly honest apology and I feel skeptical

Lemmy did great the first 5 years I had him but the last year has been rough. His husbandry is good, he's in a 29 gallon glass tank, organic potting soil and sand substrate, cuc, 91 degrees in the warm side, with a DHP, 79 on the cool side and around 50% humidity, moist hide with moss on the warm side, dry hide on the warm side and two dry on the cool side. I had a UVB lamp on his cage but it touched his heart lamp and caught on fire, luckily I was in the room and caught it, trying to come up with a good solution for UVB besides fluorescent tubes rn since I'm concerned about how close they get to his heat lamp. He always has access to fresh water, when he was eating I have always fed him mealworms, super worms, crickets, and other bugs as I can find them in store. Bugs dusted with vitamins plus d and calcium plus d, has a calcium dish no D in his tank.
About a month ago he had some stuck shed on his face, he's always shed awesome so I've never dealt with it. It was pretty loose on his face so I just removed it (never dealt with it before so not sure of protocol). Now his eyes are always closed and one had some swelling and he hasn't been eating. I can't afford to take him to the vet right now, but in about a month I can.
His tail is still nice and pretty fat, and I have begun giving him reptaboost to keep up with vitamins and minerals. Every night I spray his eyes with a saline with hypochlorous acid product, the swelling has gone down in his one eye that was swollen. He seems to like it and soon after I spray his eyes he'll usually open them a bit, so I get them again. I can see his eyes but there is like a dark brown film over them. He can see. It's my understanding leopard gecko eyeballs don't shed so I don't think it's stuck shed, how does stuck shed cause eye issues? What is the brown film?
The saline and hypochlorous acid is a gentle antimicrobial that has been studied on eyes in humans and shows good results augmenting antibiotics for eye infections. It's also used for eyes of other pets. I tested it on my own eyes before using it on Lemmy. It's the best thing I can think of until I can get him into the vet. It seems to be helping some.

Hi all. I currently run the following 2.0 setup:
- LG G4 oled
- Minidsp SHD (optical input from tv for movies)
- 8 amps
- self build speakers, including 4x 10"woofer per speaker.
However, I have 2 "problems"
- in some movies I have very little bass, I hypothesise because the LFE signal is not fed to the minidsp. I suspect the LG TV doesn't do a very good job in folding the multichannel into 2.0
- I would like to theorise and plan to build this out to multichannel.
I would hate to go to analogue just for the minidsp to convert it back again. I haven't seen the option on an AVR. Also the sound processors I found are very very expensive. It is a fairly easy task it needs to do.
Any tips are appreciated

hi everyone! okay so my(22f) bf(21m) had gained a lot of weight in the past 2y and his weight in June was around 240lbs and he’s 5’11 so he was overweight. he started fasting/dieting and working out and he lost 50lbs in about 4 months. now, he still thinks he’s fat and he’s obsessed with his weight. he goes to the toilet and takes a sh1t about 5-6 times a day. i found it weird so i said “are u okay? why are you going to the bathroom so much?”and he said: im trying to force myself to go so i can lose weight. i thought it was REALLY weird. today, he told me “i think im gonna make myself puke,i feel fat today” it made me sick to my stomach. im worried for him and i told him "you’re not doing that, ever" but we don’t live together and idk what he does when im not there. i told him he might be bulimic and that its a serious mental issue and he just said like nah don’t worry. but im worried. what do you guys think?
