Earthquake scroll got rid of his men, after that, dip out to cast holy shield, hero. Dip back in, chuck a potion of slow on him, cast lulwy's possession (thank you ass goddess), and just sloooowly whittle him down with my putit in amber that I was super lucky to find within my first week (2d. Dipped once again to rebuff, and finally got him feared and deleted.

2024.11.30 07:22 Evening-Elk-4232 DM trying to force me into a character I'm not? (help please)
About two months ago, a friend of mine started running a homebrew campaign, the majority of the original content to come of it being an entire pantheon of hers. I love everything about fictional deities and especially took to hers, so I made my character a devotee to one. Some of her teachings generally cover things like protecting all life, keeping the balance, being self-sacrificing, etc. with these more or less just being a means to express faith like it does irl, as opposed to something literal or binding you'd find with a paladin's oaths.
That said, I took these as values my character would strive for, but not necessarily represent as some sort of pillar. My character is a barbarian! While protective, he's also hotheaded, clumsy, and has the lowest wisdom of the party. He's even a satyr because I thought it'd be a funny way to reference how much he "butts heads" with others. I felt, wise or not, his heart being in the right place was good enough for him to worship his deity of choice. His faith was something that passively guided him, not something that actively defined him.
However, my DM scrutinizes me, albeit just passive-aggressively, whenever my barb's actions fall out of line with the teachings of said deity. One time my barb got in a bar fight, as every party eventually does at least a couple times. Another time, he got competitive with another party member over some festival games. Sometimes he's greedy or aggressive over things because he comes from an impoverished past, and it's a habit he's trying to overcome because another part of him empathizes with and wants to provide/protect those who were once as helpless as he was. It's not a lot of serious examples, but the frequency of these little moments being followed by a private message from my DM was downright grating, with her reminding me again that that's not what her deity teaches, as if I'm not aware. Yes, I can understand how it might be frustrating to ask for my character to devote to a deity that she created, only for him to not follow all her rules, but that's not because I'm disregarding those beliefs. He does believe in her teachings, but his flaws prevent him from always following them! I'm trying to create a nuanced character!
And no, this isn't just a "talk it out with them" situation. I have talked to her, a lot, and every time it seems like we come to an understanding and resolve things, only for it to happen again the moment I want my barbarian to be a less-than-perfect hero. I can't tell if she's misunderstanding me, or if she thinks she can force me into her wanted mold if she just keeps repeating herself, but I feel awful continuing to bring it up with her all the time. I can tell that it's just as frustrating and emotionally exhausting for her as well, to the point I worry that I'm a "problem player" for her. I don't want to give up on this campaign, nor do I want to cause stress for anyone else in the campaign because I'm being stubborn, but I feel like I'm not being allowed to play the character I want to. Am I being selfish? Is there a better way I can get this sentiment across to my DM?

Hello, I’m 25/f, and and about 4 months ago I left my partner 26/m of 4 years after he cheated on me with someone I thought was my friend. I moved away to a new city, and cut off everyone associated with that group. (No exaggeration) I don’t have any friends left. And I thought that he wS my best friend.
I thought that we would grow old and die together. It was a horrific pain and at first I didn’t know how I would survive.
Now with some time I don’t want him back- but It’s changed me as a person.
I’ve mostly lived in isolation since. I see family sometimes. And I get lonely. But the idea of socialising and getting close with another human seems painful and I’m scared to make connections now.
My sex drive is gone- I don’t even want to date or sleep with men anymore. People say to “get out there” to make friends, date people. But my trust seems destroyed.
I guess I just want some hope, from people who’ve been in my position.
I have no support system really. I work from home. And sometimes i feel hopeful, but some days I genuinely feel apathetic towards everything.
How long until I feel healed? Is this something you can heal from? It’s been 4 months, which I guess isn’t that long, but also kinda is.
Please tell me your stories, if they are similar at all. Any advice. Anything to help me get through this.

Personally I would prefer experiencing everything in its polished state. I'd seen leaks about 1.2 and 1.3 before, and it definitely made me less hyped when the version actually came out.
