I live in a city far from Colombo. I am newly married, and it's just my wife and me living in our house. We built this house ourselves after making many sacrifices, and while the house is fully completed, we didn’t have enough money to build a wall or gate around our land.
We are facing several difficulties in this house, which have increased my anxiety and OCD, especially since I work from home all the time. The problems are mentioned below, and I’d like to know if these are common issues in Sri Lanka or if they’re unique to me. I’d also appreciate your opinions on these matters.
- Neighbors are dumping their garbage and cut tree branches near the side of my land, which is very annoying to me. When I complain about it, they say that it’s part of the road and not my property.
- My neighbors have many kids, and some families have as many as five. They play on the road in front of my house, and it’s very noisy. They often shout and use bad language with each other. Their ball constantly comes onto my land, which is very annoying. When I complain about it, their parents just respond with, “They’re just kids; they don’t know any better,”(ඒ ගොල්ලො පොඩි ළමයිනේ. ඒගොල්ලන්ට තේරෙන්නෙ නෑ) or something similar.
- We love gardening and have a variety of flowers and trees in our garden. However, my neighbors, especially the older ladies, often come onto my land without permission to pick flowers. They don’t seem to understand that gardening is our hobby. When I complain, their response is, “These flowers are picked to offer to Buddha” ("මේ මල් කඩා ගන්නේ බුදුන්ට පූජා කරන්නනේ."). I’ve told them that I don’t want any blessings, but they don’t stop and keep repeating the same behavior.
I really want to know if these problems are common in Sri Lanka, because I’m thinking about selling my house, but I’m afraid I might face the same issues at my next house as well.

I find myself hopping on less and less. And when I do I find it a frustrating experience most of times. Opponents usually have very similar stats and playstyles, hitting weak short control shots which turns the game into a badminton match. The game doesn't seem equipped to handle these situations well. IRL you would just step into the court and blast a hard stroke, but IG it doesn't work like that and you just make yourself very vulnerable.
Plus I've been getting this feeling that opponents are using mods or hacks because they just seem crazy fast and responsive and hit great shots from awkward positions. But then again, they just might be really good, idk.
I might hit 100 games this season, but way less than the 400+ of prior seasons.
How bout youse?

I got my second test this morning and very bad score came out. ~V149 Q167. My target school is will need to have 330 and the ddl is literally tmr. Think I might need to reapply next year. I only prepare for one month or so this time and PPI was V146 Q161 but my other preparing tests came out as V155 and V156. Can you guys recommend some ways to really improve on Verbal?
