2024.12.01 02:30 DefectMahi Finished Calisto Protocol and here are my thoughts.

Played Calisto Protocol and finished it just right now. It wasn't a bad game but had faults. The characters were easy to be empathetic with, the combat is janky af but I think the biggest issue was that people compared it to dead space combat instead of its own thing. The combat does get repetitive and I rather have more variety of things to do to enemies than just swing my baton around repetitively, maybe not alternate the left and right buttons? The lore was interesting and I was captivated with the audio tapes when they played. The atmosphere is immersive, has the feeling of clastrophobia and how everything seemed bleak. The big bad was menancing but not the warden and I think the story did well to end there for Jacob where he has his redemption. I don't think Calisto Protocol was bad but Dead Space Remake (Original included) outshone it in every facet. I don't really mind if Glen comes back to the DS franchise because with the DS lore available, I think he will have some ideas cooking on how things will unfold. Also btw he wasn't there for DS3 so that shitty writing (Ellie survives? Palpatine Returns somehow vibes) and ideas that came from it aren't what he instigated. He also didn't like the fact that RE5 coop ruined horror and he didn't like to have that element in the DS games.

Are these good headphones? I care most about build quality, I don't want them to break easily. Does anyone know if the headband is metal or not? Other from same brand had a metal one but it's under padding for this one, so hard hard to tell.
How is sound, battery, and anc? I have never used anc and don't know a lot about sound settings and stuff. I just want a good sounding headphone, I am a average customer who won't notice small problems.
I have seen many mixed reviews and a lot of them were probably sponsored. How is it for the price, I know it won't be the absolute best.

When she finished the man gently pulled her onto his lap and said that she could cry on his shoulder while he figured her. The girl sobbed on his shirt the whole time. The girl doesn't want that to happen ever again.
How can the girl make it clear to the man that she doesn't want to do that kind of stuff without losing the friendship or getting another adult involved?

I know I've been posting a lot lately and I'm sure this has been brought up before but this has been weighing on my mind recently.
After waking up from the Witness indoctrination, I began questioning the Bible and the idea of God and spirituality in general. Granting for a moment that an almighty being that wants to communicate with his creations exists, he decides to inspire a collection of books to talk to us. Setting aside the fact that such a being good use a better method of talking to us, why couldn't the message he wanted to convey be immediately obvious to anybody that wanted to read it?
Why do I have to go door-to-door disturbing people on possibly their only day off and convince them that not only is the Bible true, but the specific interpretation I'm preaching is the correct one? Shouldn't the authorship of a book written by a being so above us in intelligence and power be instantly obvious to anyone that read the first sentence of Genesis onward?
I should be able to go an uncontacted tribesman deep in the remotest jungle, read him any passage and he should be struck by the fact that no human could have penned the words I spoke. A polytheist who has spent her whole life bowing down to idols should realize the error of her ways and be moved to throw them all in the trash. The staunchest, Richard Dawkins-esque atheist should immediately look up to the sky and see the design of the universe and who made it.
But instead, we have a library of books that are no more convincing than other holy book you might read. And of the people who believe in it, no two people can seem to agree exactly what it means. Some people don't even agree that it's talking about God and instead it's all a metaphor. And the worst part is that if you don't believe any of it, you'll be taking an eternal dirt nap (JW) or burning forever (most other denominations).
From this, I can only come to 3 conclusions. Either God is not all powerful, he's all powerful but doesn't care whether anyone knows who he is, or he doesn't exist.
Currently, I'm leaning more towards the last option.

Please guide. My dad’s beard vs mine at around same age.
I was eating junk and pizzas a lot for past 6-7 years. I am 20-30 kgs overweight for past 7 years.
Never grown beard more than 1.5 - 2 months.
No beard conditioning, sometimes no washing beard area.
I can understand these things might be the reason, but I feel like something is still lacking. Like genes should somehow be able to pass through these things.
