Hello everyone,
I’ve recently decided to buy an iPhone from Facebook Marketplace. The seller claims it is sealed, and they have agreed to meet at an Apple Store. I spoke with the Genius Bar, and they mentioned they can run tests to verify if the device is legitimate. I also asked the seller for a video showing the receipt alongside the phone box, and they sent it after a few hours.
However, I have a couple of concerns: 1. I checked the device’s IMEI on an Apple checker website, and it says the device has already been activated, which seems suspicious since the phone is supposedly sealed. But if it’s a fake phone, why would the seller agree to meet at an Apple Store? 2. How can I ensure that the phone won’t later be reported as stolen or blacklisted if I buy it?
Currently, in Canada, the 16 Pro Max 1TB costs over $2,300 CAD, but the seller is offering it for $1,600 CAD. Should I risk it?
What are some other things I should consider? Thank you!

wanting to create my own fragrance here and I love the way you can engrave the bottle and completely design the “recipe” for the scent, but reviews seem very mixed, about half saying 5 stars and that they’re amazing and then the other half very poor reviews saying it’s “lightly scented toilet water” and such. Not sure if it matters but my mix I’d like to try that I’ve selected is primary base of Vanilla with the additional scents being Coconut, Carmel, and Crème Brûlée (I’m wanting a very warm and sweet gourmet smell like an overpowering vanilla mix). I’m always very paranoid and hesitant ordering online from new sites to begin with and since they’re not necessarily the cheapest to order from I’d really like to make sure I won’t be scammed before I place my order. We currently have PLDT plan 2699 which is dapat 600mbps, pumapalo lang sya ng 100mbps. For a month bumagal sya tp 100mbps, ok naman ung 100mbps pala na speed for us. Problem lang madalas nawawalan ng internet dahil sa may sira daw linya ng fiber sa may poste, 5x ko na tinawag for repair pero wala naman gumagawa.
Tapos naman na 3yr lock in period namin.
Now I’m planning to downgrade nalang from plan 2699 to FIBER UNLI ALL 1799 na may cignal.
Is it ok to request disconnection muna then apply ulit to new plan para new modem and new fiber line (hopefully no issue na)? Or dapat ipa downgrade ko lang via call?
Also if new modem and cable will be installed ba if nagpa downgrade lang?
P.S. converge and globe not available sa area, change of ISP not an option for now

2024.12.01 02:25 Linkbetweentwirls Historical total war, I used think of you as a downgrade and I was wrong, I apologise.
I am a typical Warhammer-only player, I got around 500 hours after getting into the series Last year and have been playing it at least once a month though I have hit a bit of a burnout patch recently so taking a break till the DLC.
I wanted more Total War though and decided to give a historical game a shot. Shogun 2 was already in my library so I thought why not, I admit I used to kinda think the historical Total War was always a downgrade to Warhammer, how can it even hope to compare to the amount of variety and content Warhammer has to offer.
It can't but Shogun 2 really surprised me, for a 10-year-old game the controls are still pretty solid and I find myself enjoying the smaller scope, shit matters, and getting a good unit feels like a big deal.
There is so much shit going on in Warhammer battles that I can never just enjoy them but Shogun 2 battles are simple yet well made, I don't have to counter magic or dragon and I actually get to experience defensive siege battles!
The sieges are so much better in shogun 2 that its not even funny, I actually look forward to doing them which is such a alien feeling after playing warhammer lol
I am having so much fun that I am gonna try all the historical total war games from shogun 2 onwards.

Ok, so, atm I (18 nonbinary) am very little contact with her (still trying to stay on her good side tho, as she still has possession of 90% of my belongings, including a couple hundred dollars worth of books and trinkets). This is a woman who got mad at me for not doing anything with her on my birthday, despite me having extended an offer to take her to dinner (off my own personal paycheck). I still have semi decent contact with my aunt (tho I'd rather not) and I do not know how she would react if I didn't get my mother something for Christmas. On one hand, she really wants me to move back in with my mother, refusing to believe just how bad she is for my mental health (long long story for another day). On the other, I don't want to start a fight around the holidays, especially since (as mentioned prior) my mother has almost all my earthly possessions. Before anyone asks, yes my mother has threatened to throw away/burn my things before, claiming that they are "hers" because i was living under her roof when she bought them for me. I am getting stressed over this and I can't ask my dad for help because he doesn't understand. Starclan bless his heart, he tries, but this is something that I've been dealing with on my own for forever and I can't keep repeating myself to try and get him to understand. What should I do? I've been walking on eggshells since I was old enough to talk, and they are cracking.

2024.12.01 02:25 Absoled Season 2 has been exhaustingly annoying
As I’m going through Season 2, It has become really difficult to appreciate or even enjoy the characters.
- Jen is just…a mess. It was funny for Season 1 as she tried to figure herself out. Now? It just feels like you’re watching someone spiral for the sake of it. It just goes no where. She seems more fixated on being aggressive or troubling rather than the awkward funniness of Season 1.
- Carrie was showing growth from Season 1 representing the idea of coming out of a toxic and manipulative relationship and discovering her true worth and potential. She was quickly becoming a favourite. Suddenly Season 2 it feels like a constant reminder of somehow Kash being her one and only that will appear everywhere she is and is clearly the best she can ever do in life and she should accept it. What a let down…
- Kash. Oh god this character. If frustration was ever given form, it would be him. He adds so -little- to the show other than “Kash messed it up for them again”. There is so little depth or purpose to his entire existence that it physically hurts to see him take up any screen time. It doesn’t even come off as comedy, it just comes off as him being a nuisance.
- Jizzlord. I think the idea of a relationship concept was pushed way too quickly. Honestly the man has a mind that is near equivalent to a child again, which makes it even more weird. I’d prefer the focus on the quirky rather than adult relationships. His story also is just stuck in this limbo now of everyone knowing his past but he still has amnesia which has made him an oddball until he figures out how to maybe function again.
