I recently booked a 7-night Asian cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) through CruiseDirect.com. The promotion included “free” perks like Specialty Dining, Unlimited Open Bar, a WiFi package, Shore Excursion Credit, and a $50 Visa Gift Card. Since we don’t usually buy drink packages, this deal seemed too good to pass up.
After booking, I received a confirmation email listing all the perks as “free,” and my credit card was charged the correct amount. However, the next morning, NCL sent their own confirmation showing only the WiFi package, $25 onboard credit, and excursion credit—no mention of the Open Bar or Dining perks.
When I contacted CruiseDirect.com, they claimed the missing perks were because I hadn’t paid service charges ($590 for Open Bar and $89 for Dining). This was never disclosed during the booking process, and the perks were marketed as “free” throughout booking.
I reached out to NCL, opened a service ticket, and was told to wait 48 hours. It’s now been over 20 days with no update. CruiseDirect.com refused a refund, citing a $1,000 cancellation penalty, and blamed me for not paying the hidden fees upfront.
At this point, I don’t even want to go on the cruise. I feel misled by both companies. I have saved all the screenshots and documentation to prove my case, but I’m unsure how to proceed.
Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? What’s the best way to fight this and get my money back?

13 yr letter carrier here debating last transfer of my career. Started out in Portland Oregon then made the move back to the east coast to be closer to family, but after 8 years back here and the station I’m stuck in because its upstate and there aren’t any transfer opportunities in the vicinity I’m debating going to a bigger city again. It’s gotta be the middle of the country. I’ve narrowed it down to these two. Anyone know cost of livings for a 1 bdrm? Quality of life type stuff. Don’t mind the cold. I also feel like I’d be priced out of Denver w my rent needing to be no higher than like 1300. I don’t mind living in the outer areas but commute will have to be no more than 30 min from the center of the city cuz those are probably the stations I’ll end up in. It’s not easy to move in usps. So if I do it one more time I gotta pick right this time lol. I always loved Chicago but it’s a little too big for where I wanna be in my life now. I’m 45. Been through Milwaukee but never actually there. Madison sounds okay to me too. But again in the dark about prices. Any info greatly appreciated. Having sports games to go to close by as well as concerts is key. Although most of the time I just come home and smoke weed. But I feel if I had these things closer to me (nyc is 2 hours away) I would do them more like I used to when I was in Portland. Not feeling the west coast, and I’m from the east so Midwest seems like a good medium. I’d like to be way outta here

 | I was surprised they made the country from btr a real thing so I decided to visit. My haul includes all the manga (excluding kikuri ones cuz I don’t care about her), vinyl album, guitar picks strap and polish cloth, the headphones (delivers in a month), and various other knickknacks and gashapons. (The guitar and pedals and cosplay and keycaps are bought in the US). I had to resist very hard to not buy the guitar tutorial book since I’m past that level now. Also went to a student music festival at the one and only venue which also happened to be raining hard, which also happened to have a girl group with a unisex bassist and a lead guitar that refuses to show her face. I'm running a side hustle installing camera systems for clients, and I have a question about the best way to send quotes to customers.
Currently, I create a list of materials, add my labor hours, and then calculate the total cost based on the price and quantity/hours. However, I'm wondering if it would be better to simplify the quote, for example: "4-camera installation = Total: $1900."
This is one of my concerns as I'm just starting out. Also, how should I explain to clients if the estimated quote is exceeded because additional materials or work were required to finish the project?
I really appreciate everyone's opinions and advice.

Bonjour, j étais développeur unity c# pendant 4 ans, l année dernière, je quitte mon emploi car je voulais changer de région (au final ca ne s'est pas fait, je cherche sur Paris). Comme dans la région il y avait de très rare offres en unity, j ai fait une formation dans le web de 6 mois angular java. A noter que j ai un master informatique.
Mais voilà, j ai terminé en décembre la formation et je n'avais pas réalisé le marché IT actuellement. Je ne recois quasiment aucune réponse pour des postes de développeur java. J ai commencé à chercher du côté c# étant donné que j ai 4 ans, mais on me répond que ça ne va pas car ce n'était pas du back end sur unity.
Je commence à me demander si je ne devrais pas apprendre asp.net pour maximiser mes chances, mais je commence vraiment à déprimer sérieusement car l impression de m éparpiller sur les langages. Il ne me reste que 8 mois de chômage et j ai la sensation que je ne trouverais jamais de travail, j ai l angoisse de ne pas réussir à payer mes factures, ça commence à me tétaniser.
J ai tenté de faire de l interim pour m assurer un revenu pendant ma recherche, mais je ne vais pas renouveller le contrat car ça m épuise encore plus, je n ai pas le temps de faire ma recherche d emploi et ça m horrifie aussi à l idée de rester bloquer là toute ma vie.
S'il vous plait, si vous avez un quelconque conseil ou retour d expérience pour ceux qui auraient été dans la même situation que moi.

Hello! I recently started a perma-death run of Eternity-death mode after beating Calamity Infernum + Fargo (with Infernum in the drivers seat for modes) on perma death (character and items are wiped on death).
These Maneaters on Eternity-deathmode seem... either bugged or way overtuned? I give the bosses +200% increased HP, but don't touch other stats like damage as I really enjoy using more accessories than the default game (+3 extra slots) and it completely 1 shot me, from 475 Life to 0, with 87 defense and 21% DR pre-HM.
Is this normal or do I have some mod issues?

hi, does anyone give their parents their earnings as a student? im 19f and im working a full-time temporary contract job while waiting for my a level results. my father is currently unemployed, in the midst of a career switch and my mother is a housewife. i earn 13/h and would prolly earn about 2k before cpf. should i be giving my parents a portion of my earnings?? i dont mind giving them a small proportion but i also dont find the need to do so given that i have been paying for most (almost 90%) of my expenses in the past year plus they seem to not be struggling with finances that much (they have reasonable savings from years of frugal living). their only expenses now are groceries and utilities. should i give them a portion of my money or just save it? if the former, what is a reasonable amount?

The above are a Christmas gift that I was setting up last night. 20-year customer. I understand Bose products well (or so I thought).
Am I missing something? I’ve tried every manner of caress of these earbuds and nothing will change the volume. The Bose QC app has no settings to that effect. I’ve reset them, disconnected them, swapped controls on the left earbud, you name it. Troubleshooting doesn’t cover this issue.
This product and its deafening voice prompts is proving to be underwhelming.
