Hey Guys!
Me (11 yr Old M), and the fellas were hanging out enjoying a nice friendly AFC championship game. Most of us are longtime Steelers fans, except Aiden, who used to be a steelers fan, but became a Chiefs bandwagon last year, in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. His father is a doctopolitician/lawyer, who buys him everything he wants, and he has a signed Mahomes, Kelce, and Taylor swift NFL jersey. Now me and the boys were just hanging out, tryna watch a nice respectable football game, listen to thick of it by KSI, and eat our Mr Beast Burgers (saved in freezer from two years ago). Tragically, Aiden wouldn't shut up about how Mahomes was the MVP this year, and is the GOAT. He said Taylor swift is an unironically good singer, and that Shake it off was a better song than Thick of it. He said she was the best addition to the NFL ever. He also stated Travis Kelce had a great haircut. This was all before the game. Once the game started, he continued this tomfoolery. He said things like, "That was the right call and that was the best throw Ive ever seen Mahomes is the goat" when discussing Xavier Worthys drop. He also said "Wow, that was a fantastic ball spot. This is a skill issue for the bills, Mahomes is the goat" When Josh Allen failed to convert on fourth down. He also said "Mahomes is the goat, he did that strategically and the bills aren't even good," After Mahomes fumbled. It was all fun and games and then me and the other fellas got fed up. We went upstairs, found a frying pan, and bludgeoned him nearly to death, then we took him outside and his eyes were pecked out by crows. We considered giving him to the bad man with candy, but decided against it. Instead we had him put out of his misery by dropping a piano on him. This entire time he was shouting out things such as "Mahomes forever" and "The refs made the right calls!!!" We then took the mangled corpse and buried it in my backyard. So I guess this leads me to the question, AITA for not giving him a proper burial?

Hi, so I've been interested in buying a cutter for a few weeks now. I want to cut a little densethicker materials like 0.5mm-2mm cardboard (greyboard) or up to 3mm corrugated cardboard. I've seen that cameo 4 and maker 3 are around the same performance and the cost seems similar as well.
Which one would you recommend?
If I've understood correctly on cricuts knifeblade you are limited to the preset profiles which is obviously quite limiting to what I can do with my materials then (don't want to sit next to my cutter and stop the cut after enough passes).
On the cameo 4 on the other hand I'm finding mixed results, if at all, about people cutting thicker greyboard.
Also I've read that you can't really cut sharp corners on thicker or denser materials (?). And if so to what extent?
If someone with experience could help me out here, I'd be really stoked and thankful!!

My brother's '87 turbo recently ran into an issue where he lost brake pedal pressure and the speedometer stopped working. Initially it seemed like a fuse issue, but a Toyota dealership says it's the master cylinder. They're quoting him $1400 for replacement which is insane. My architecture firm is currently doing a market analysis for the value of committing to the AIA 2030. Like most architecture firms, our portfolio is a mix of building types, scales, and budgets. From high performance, passive house certified projects to historic retrofits and not so sustainable housing projects. We do our to best advocate for energy efficient design choices but sometimes the client's budget or design taste doesn't allow for it.
Although I'm excited at the prospects of incorporating energy modeling into our firm's workflow, I'm skeptical about the accuracy of the tools, EUI baselines, and overall goal of the reporting. Is it actually making a difference in how we work or is it just another way for architecture firms to give themselves a gold star for being sustainability? Just another marketing ploy... And if it is, can anyone attest to the ROI of being one of the 1,350 firms listed?
I'm convinced we should direct what little overhead we have available towards relationship-building with developers and contractors and investing in energy modeling tools and proper training to make a real world impact.
After taking a closer look at energy modeling tools available (WUFI, Autodesk Insight, Sefaira, Zero Tool, etc) they seem very easy to gamify to get the performance goals we want to report...
Any architects out there committed to the AIA 2030 goal? Has it affected your workflow? Does it incentivize better (more sustainable) buildings or are we all just buying into another pat-on-the-back we can then repost on linkedin?

It's been almost 2 weeks since we have submitted all our documents for a verified pre approval on a mortgage. The hold up, they claim is verifying my husband's employment. We gave them pay roll's contact information, but they say this can't be used because it's not on any public website, such as their company website. They say no one is responding from the numbers/emails located on the company's website. So I decided to go ahead and call them. I got through within minutes to the people I needed to confirm employment. What is happening and is this normal?! I'm starting to become irritated and feel like we are at a dead end. They have the contact info and I just don't know what else can be done. We have been very response and provided everything they have needed within the last 2 weeks.

I broke my screen on the edge a few months ago and dead pixels started to appear around the crack, it now has a horizontal line in the middle where it cracked that doesn't respond to touch most of the time.
Replacement is around $400 dlls so I'm wondering if I have any other options. I heard about LCD screens being way cheaper but I'm guessing they don't work well? Is the phone worth anything in this state for a trade in?
