2025.01.18 05:21 Afk94 I've been cancer free for a year but no one knows I had it and now my grandmother might have cancer.
I was deemed cancer free a year ago today. For a long time I had intestinal pain that was sharp enough to the point that I would vomit and not be able to get out of bed. In 2023, I finally forced myself to get a scan and they found a cancerous polyp. Thankfully, it had not spread and I was able to get it surgically removed and treated without chemo or radiation. The thing is no one knew. Not my parents, my sibling, or my friends. I didn't even tell my girlfriend at the time because was a cancer survivor in medical school and I didn't want to add anymore to her plate. (Ironically enough, the day I got my diagnosis was the beginning of the end of our relationship, but I am honestly extremely grateful I never told her.) After my scan, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy but I was able to push it back for a couple months because I was dealing with ending my relationship as well as school. I know it was stupid but I wanted some semblance of normality for as long as I could have it. It has been exactly one year today. Literally no one knows other than my providers and anyone who reads this post. I simply told my family that I was having a procedure done and needed to be dropped off and picked up. I won't lie, it was extremely lonely. Every time I get even a mild stomach ache I panic and pray that it didn't come back.
Fast forward to today and I get a call that my grandmother is sick and in the hospital. Her pancreas is swollen and they think its pancreatitis but they want to check to see if it might be cancer. I don't anyone to know about my own experience, but I'm not sure if I'll even be able to face my grandmother. I want to be there for her as she's very important to me, but the more I heard about how it might be cancer, the more my heart sunk and the more nauseous I became. I decided to come to reddit because at least here I can be anonymous. Has anyone on here been in a similar situation? Any advice would help. Thank you.

Like me normally I only work maybe 2 to 3 hrs during my shift the rest of the time I'm just sitting and playing on my phone I have been doing this for the last 7 years I only work so little because I get all my work done in that time .I still have to stay till the end of my shift and pay is pretty good

Since I plan on drawing multiple healing spells in dnd, i am trying to take special care in making them look very distinct from one another. I thought that the most distinct feature of Cure Wounds (at least when compared to Healing Word) is that it requires touch, I i tried to find a unique way of representing that aside from always drawing a healer tending to a wounded person.
How do you flavor your character's healing spells?

I’ve been wonder wonders event and have been earning a lot of gems but whenever is get to open the 3000 gems pack from the store which promises 100-105 ovr player but I always get a 100 ovr ones. I’m not seeing the benefits of using gems on these store packs and now how do I make best use of them for players, training points, rank players, etc?

A bit niche of a buff but if venom's frenzied arrival could "grab" like wolverine's feral leap does that could make him much more viable against fliers, considering his limited attack range. You'd have to use your tendril swing to get the height but it'd be great to be able to drag down an iron man that's just shooting from up high
