2025.01.18 05:10 thescientificindian What do I need to use to lip sync with audio just a few seconds / segment of a video?
For a project, I'm looking to record an actor, and swap just a few words from the video with their voice customized to the user's preference. For example: If in the video, the actor says: I know David. If you're wondering how he makes great videos, checkout this page.
Here I want to configure it this way: I know $name. If you're wondering how $genderpronoun makes great videos, checkout this page.
So, on an input box of my website, if they input their name to Steve, and select the gender as Male, it needs to lip sync the audio and video to that name and pronoun and provide the updated video with the same voice and lip sync output video.
Any ideas on how to make this happen? I've looked into HeyGen, Wave2Lip and others, but they're mostly for making new videos from scratch with completely new scripts or training them. I'm looking for it to generate within a few seconds to a minute by sticking to the original video and script but only changing 2 words. Any local implementation or free or paid APIs would be much helpful.

2025.01.18 05:10 ZeepANation OBS Crashed, Overutilized GPU
Hey everyone, so I just finished streaming/ recording for about 5 hours of PalWorld, and OBS seized up and almost completely crashed twice. This happened last stream as well with the same game, and I'm looking for any way to fix this issue. I'm using an RTX 4060 GPU, and OBS typically consumes about 20% of the processing power, but when I was having these issues Task Manager was showing OBS spiking up to 100% of the processing power. Since PalWorld seems to run between 40-65% of my GPU's processing power, I kind of assume that there must have been a spike in usage that I didn't notice and the answer would be to lower my game settings, but I thought I would check here to double check here to see what advice the pros had to offer.

My cat, whom I love dearest and I rescued from a barn where she was rescued from has suffered two major injuries to the exact same side of her head/neck.
I live south of Houston TX. I am wondering if this injury is due to a feral suburban animal, an environmental factor such as a fence, or even a harmful human…
I am attaching photos I deem less intense but still show severity of the issue.
We had emergency surgery Thanksgiving morning due to a two to three inch laceration on her neck. She healed quickly but this January suffered another muscle deep injury a bit bigger in circumference to a BB gun pellet.
As to advice on keeping her inside only she has access to our doggy door and prefers to frolic… and Injure herself apparently.
How do I find the cause of these random serious injuries that happened upon the same location on her neck? What cat would make the same/similar mistake twice is what I’m worried about

2025.01.18 05:10 chrtyj21 Hanging a cord from ceiling that swivels?
We got one of those Meta Quest headsets for Xmas, and we’re finding that the battery life is very short (only a few hours of continuous play). We have one headset between my three kids, me, and my partner; so when we all want to take a 30-60min turn, someone has to wait a while or stay plugged in. My dumb kids can’t just stand still, so being plugged in has them constantly tripping over the cord and/or unplugging it.
I want to run an extension cord and charger up the wall and across the ceiling to the middle of the LR (best space to play). What I’m worried about is all the twisting and spinning underneath the ceiling hook.. is there such a thing as a swivel hook made for cables? Has anyone done something similar? Has the twisting not actually been an issue?
