Valentine's Day used to be one of my favorite holidays. I have so many sweet memories stemming from childhood into my serious relationships as an adult. I never had a bad one until right before DDay hit nearly almost 3 years ago now. The only thing is, I didn't realize how bad it was until months later.
That previous night to VDay, I set up some my gifts up for my WP in my kitchen to wake up to since he gets up for work 3hrs before I do. That morning, he went out there & came back into the bedroom to wake me up & tell me I didn't have to do that. He then chucks this small black bag at me to open as a gift. Its a silver heart necklace with an opal on the inside. He tells me he ordered it a couple of months ago & spent a lot on it. I think it's really pretty & wear it until DDay hits. When he comes home late that night (on VDay) we make fried Oreos together (his favorite) & enjoy our night. I thought whatever, it was a good one - not the best but nice regardless.
Months after DDay & looking back, that necklace wasn't meant for me. It was meant for his AP. Opal is APs birthstone. He mentioned he "bought it a couple of months ago" & I realized he had stopped talking to her in Dec on his own accord... that's why he even had it. It was her gift. Not mine. He gave it to me as a pity gift or he was just not concerned about the intention around it. It was a lazy & lousy way to show me he really didn't care about me back then.
I think the thing that hurts the most is I can't enjoy any piece of opal jewelry because it reminds me of her. I love gems & minerals & opal was high on my list of favorites. Since then, not anymore. I hate it's tainted my enjoyment of it. Its beauty is a huge trigger & that's all I've seen around me in my profession lately. Of course, right before the holiday.
My WP & I recently started R again & he overall seems in a very healthy place. While, I feel trapped in memories like these that I keep to myself & cry over. We aren't ready to discuss this level yet - I'll just cry throughout the session which isn't fair to me at this point. I want to use my words to express the level / depth of how painful it's been for me. He's seen me cry, but he hasn't really heard my heart pouring out on smaller stories like this that affected me deeply. I'm not looking on advice for telling this story, because I'm not even there yet mentally/physically/spiritually to share it with him. I think a part of me is holding onto the pain of it all & I'm almost in a place of - why even bothering sharing it. It's a resentment I don't want to solve right now. I want him to tell me what he did wrong. Not the other way around. It seems so unfair he can't just admit his own short comings rather than have me explain to him why "x,y,&z" still hurts me.
It just sucks that so many things are tainted or ruined by this chaos he created & I'm still sad about it all.

I've seen a lot of items in the trade site that magic jewels with 2 modifiers that are corrupted with no additional effect are going for like 8 divines compared to a rare jewel with 4 modifiers and corrupted with something like 9% fire resistance are only going for 1 divine or something. also the modifiers on said gems are fairly similar in that they're both useful. I even saw a clip where somebody found a magic gem and hit it with a corrupt and specifically stated he didn't want anything to change on it and it would go for 8 divines, then he looked on the market and just as he said they were going for 8 divines. Is there something i'm missing that some POE vets can explain why that is?

Ok so yeah hate to admit it but I’m having some problems. I did get tested for all std’s, bv, yeast, uti whatever and all came back negative. My doc told me to get boric acid. So i google and then something says to get probiotics bc boric acid kills all the bacteria, not just the bad bacteria in the vag.
I ended up ordering vH Essentials Prebiotic Suppositories & Double Wood Boric Acid Suppositories.
I know to take boric acid overnight. Should i take them at the same time or should i take boric acid at night and then do prebiotic in the morning? Also confused bc i read that they work better if you’re sleeping bc you’re lying down.
So i want to do both at night but would it be pointless bc the boric acid would kill the prebiotics too? Idk confused.
Thanks in advance cus Google isn’t helping. Also wanted to give a little backstory unless someone else needs help with this problem too.

I will try not to rant, but this happened yesterday and I wanted some advice on whether it is worth pursuing.
I drove from Melbourne yesterday afternoon and was almost run off the road by consecutive Semi-trailers. This occurred approximately 30km outside of Horsham and there were no high speed hijinks leading up to the incident. I have travelled that stretch back and forth a lot over 20 years and I stick to the speed limit, don't take risks and avoid any of the overtaking risks that I see other impatient drivers take. I had my son asleep on the backseat and I just want to get from A to B safely.
The incident occurred when 2 trucks came up close behind me. An overtaking lane was coming up, so I stayed left, so they could pass. The speed limit is 100kmph in that section and I had my cruise control set to 102 (as I know speedometers can be a bit under). The front truck promptly started to overtake, but got his cab just ahead of my car and just stayed. I thought it was weird, and then halfway through the overtaking lane, he began to drift back. I assumed that he wasn't willing to attempt the overtake as his rig was too long. The merge sign was coming up and then he slowly started pulling ahead again. I realised that I was going to run out of lane, so I started gently breaking while beeping my horn. I literally had no road, and was forced onto the dirt shoulder at high speed to avoid the collision, while the second truck (a Collins Transport truck) drove right up to my arse from behind.
I assumed that since he saw the whole thing, he would back off, but he tailgated me at 100kmph and myself and my kid were pretty rattled at this point. Now on a single lane, the Collins truck overtook, crowding my lane and cut across me with the back end of his trailer, forcing me to again break to avoid contact. It was two super aggressive pieces of driving in literally 90 seconds.
I don't have any proof, no dashcams, just plates. The first truck was plain white, with no signage. He was the one that almost killed me, but the Collins truck seemed to be in convoy with him and they both just sped off ahead, well above the speed limit.
I used to drive that road a lot before they added all the overtaking lanes. I've had cars overtake at the last second before, but I drive defensively, and always allow people to speed past if they want. Is there any point taking it further? Do these companies have dashcams on all of their trucks (as the Collins truck definitely had a great view of the whole thing). Do the companies care about safety enough to crack down on their drivers, or is that culture encouraged?
I just woke up today pissed off that these guys are out there treating the open road like a scene from DUEL. If they do that regularly at high speed, it is only a matter of time before they wipe someone out permanently..
