2025.01.18 05:50 Illustrious-Sun-8535 AITAH for inviting someone unexpected to plans?
I (17f) and my friends all made plans to go to a mall after school last weekend. While taking the bus to the mall, we ran into a friend I’ll call Caleb. (17M) Caleb is a nice guy. Everyone in my friend group likes him and thinks he’s fun to hangout with besides someone i’ll call Sophia. (17F) Sophia doesn’t have any particular reason for not liking him, which is fine. There are people i don’t like sometimes and I don’t really have a reason. Caleb has a really shitty home life. He lives alone in a small studio apartment his grandma pays for since his parents kicked him out and he has no other family in our state. He was telling me he doesn’t really have anything to do after school since he has no tv and he doesn’t live with anyone. I felt really bad for him, so I asked him if he wanted to come along with us and he said yes.
I didn’t know Sophia didn’t like Caleb at all, but as soon as I asked him, she shot me the dirtiest look and I immediately regretted it. The entire trip, Sophia ignored me and whenever I would try and talk to her she made it very obvious she wasn’t interested in a conversation. The whole trip was super awkward and tense. She was so dry and had such mean girl behavior in that moment that I felt so left out and awkward in my own group of friends. I had a really great time with Caleb, he’s a really funny guy and we talked about movies and music we like. Everyone got along great with him besides Sophia, who didn’t even bother to say hi to him at all. Sophia messaged me after and asked me to not invite anyone to our plans anymore. I said that’s fine and I apologized, but I pointed out that her ignoring me made me feel super left out and I wished she would’ve spoken to me privately about how she felt so we could’ve had a nicer time together. She responded that she isn’t sorry and she doesn’t know what I want her to do. I feel really guilty even though I think inviting Caleb was the kind thing to do, I just wanted him to have a nice day for the first time in awhile.

I absolutely love Destiny and Destiny 2 but unfortunately, I've played 90% of both games solo :/ I'd love to have a person or a fireteam to play with regularly. I do pretty much all content but I will NOT raid, but I have done every dungeon at least once.
I do own other games but either don't play them that often or have much interest in them atm.
For some other stuff I will be 22 soon, I'm a college student, I love rock, metal, and house music. Sometimes I paint or make recycled crafts, occasionally play guitar too. I'm also trying to be healthier and have started exercising more, if thats something you're interested in at all.

2025.01.18 05:50 ryan5648 Insurance won't cover continuous glucose monitor
So my new insurance won't cover my continuous glucose monitor because I am not diagnosed diabetic I have adrenal insufficiency and my sugar drops randomly and fast so I have the monitor for when I'm sleeping to wake up and take glucose tablets. I've hit the 40s on glucose and couldn't tell I was low most nights it goes into the 50s or 60s same throughout the day. I have bought a few amwuth good rx but they are still expensive without insurance. What options are there are there any good cheap ones online that you don't need insurance for? This is my first night not having my monitor i have been trying to get them to approve it my dr even talked to them and they still won't since I'm not classified as diabetic I just have a different issue that makes my sugar drop. I've had it drop under 60 15 times in one day so I'm not sure what my options are any ideas please let me know.

I don't think I am, my parents and friends say l'm not, but I guess I need opinions from online strangers... anyway, here's the story.
I don't want to put our actual ages, but we are in university. We met in university, and we dated for almost five months. In the beginning it was absolutely amazing. We hung out almost every day, went for walks at night almost every night, and were your typical "young love" couple. We never even had a fight because we talked things out and never raised our voices at each other. He's only gotten angry once and that was because he came over one time and he was hungry, so like a good gf l went to warm up some soup for him. Then my roommate came out and said "don't become his charity" which definitely surprised me and he left immediately after that. Although the day after, I got food poisoning and he ignored my messages for help because he was still angry. I was too sick to argue so I let him be mad then he apologized later. But other than that, he was kind, he was respectful, he was funny and we pent quality time together.
But things just weren't the same around the two month mark. He stopped asking to come over, we stopped going on night walks (although it WAS getting really cold so that makes sense), and I started to have to wait hours for a text back. When he would say "I'm coming now" sometimes l'd be waiting 1-4 hours or he wouldn't even come at all and then say "sorry my dad called, family stuff" (he's from India) or "sorry my friend had an emergency." “I’m coming” started to mean “in a few hours” or “never”. I let it go every time. But it was the lack of communication that really got to me. I told him how simple it is to say "sorry, x y z came up I'll be late" or "x y z came up I have to cancel" instead of me having to wait for hours with nothing but my over active imagination wandering where tf he was or what he was doing. When I went home for reading week, he went on a whole camping trip to the other side of the country and didn't even tell me about it until after he got back. Maybe not big of a deal, but I mean, maybe that would have been nice for me to know?
Anyway, we severely lacked communication. I brought it up once or twice, but nothing changed.
Then a few days ago I found a spider in my room (I'm terrified of spiders) and I asked if he could come and kill it. I asked if he could the next day since I knew he had classes all day, and he said he'd be there in the morning. Well, morning came, afternoon passed, then it was the evening and I message him and he says "I have classes all day again" and I'm like well why tf didn’t you say anything??? To me, it almost felt like a lie when he said he'd come over to kill the thing. So, I say yet again that we needed to work on our communication. Crickets. Crickets... more crickets. That same night I give him a little hint that, in a nutshell said "answer me orrrrrrrrrr...." Anddddd nothing. Stayed on delivered for three days. No explanation. No clues as to why. My parents say he didn’t have the balls to face out issues. This wasn’t the first time I contemplated breaking up with him, I had been debating for weeks but this was my breaking point. So I messaged my mother asking how to break it off, she gave me the courage and things to say and I did it. It was hard because he really isn't a bad guy, he's a great guy but not bf material for me in the long run. I seriously wish nothing but the best for him. But it also hurts me a little because I'll never know his reaction and I don't know if it's worse to envision him heartbroken or indifferent.
So, online strangers... was I over reacting for breaking things off over communication problems?

• She once slammed a door into me and cornered me while yelling aggressively.

I just got my snake bites downsized two weeks after the inital piercing because swelling had gone down quite a bit and i kept biting the bars. However, I had to go to another piercer than the one I initially went to to get it done. He was ROUGH with it. I've read that it can be rough and it's common, but I tasted blood and I didn't even bleed when i originally got them done. Now I can feel that there's a little flap of skin that's sitting next to/over the piercing inside my mouth like he ripped it up more. I'm worried about the inside of my lip trying to heal and my skin growing over the piercing because of it. Do I keep the downsized bars in or should I change them back to the longer ones at home? I'm terrified of the one embedding because of this. I'm going to be sad if I have to change back to the other jewelry bc the jewelry I bought was cute too:( but I'd rather my piercings heal right.
