Hello! I live somewhere where we don’t get ice/snow but due to extreme weather, it might snow/freeze over by me next week and I haven’t had a fish tank in this type of weather before. I have a bubbler for air so I’m not worried about that but do I throw a blanket over the tank or what? Any advice is very welcomed

2025.01.18 05:51 sebjapon Tips on painting my first whole army?
Last year I bought Cursed City, and have painted about 45 out 60 figures (mostly in 2 months). I'm all brand new to the hobby.
For Christmas, I bought an army box + spearhead so now I have a whole army to paint (and maybe 1 or 2 big guys as well).
Army is SBGL, so I'd like to get painted:
- 40 skeletons
- 10 Blood Knights
- 10 or 20 Wolves
- 3-6 Bats
- The Crimson Court
- Radukar the Wolf
- 3 Vargheists
And I think I'll finish with Old or New Vordrai that I still have to buy. And I'll probably get the new Army Set... etc...
It's a bit daunting to think I want 40 skeletons when the 10 skeletons + Halgrim took me 2 weeks to paint already.
I also need to decide on a color scheme. I am thinking Red for vampire armors, Blue for the fabrics (I want to add an old HE dragon my brother game me, and the old/new Dragon Prince of Caledor as Blood Knights in the future, so having both BloodDragon and Elven blue would be cool).
Next, is would you build everything first? Or just build and paint each unit one by one?
What's a good number for batch painting? I did my 10 skeletons 5 by 5, and often spent 1 or 2 hours for 1 color (like making all capes dark red: 1h, making them slightly lighter red 1h, making the light red part: 45min, edging with Scarlet: 45min...). Batch painting 20 capes at once would feel so slow, no?
Anyway, people who have painted whole armies, what were your good and bad experiences?

I have asked a few of my friends to try the decant I got for CDNIM and they all preferred it to other decants I bought, however
I noticed it takes abt a few good minutes or even hour or so for CDNIM’s (i used the edt version) drydown to smoothen out. It’s a little strong, but after a few hours or so it’s smooth and very wearable. I also noticed it projects so well. Now it makes me wonder:
Are there any difference between the EDT, EDP and Pure Parfum version of CDNIM? Because I know EDP has a 200ml size and Pure Parfum is 150ml which will outlast the 100ml edt bottle. Some people mentioned that the opening is a little harsher than the others, but I am most wondering is if the drydown is the same for every version. Because if it isn’t, what if they prefer the edt’s drydown compared to the edp and pure parfum? I’m also asking if the projection is the same for all of them, as I mentioned, the EDT decant lasted nearly 8-12 hours on my skin and its projection lasted for a good 4-6 hours
TL ; DR EDT vs EDP vs Pure Parfum - Is the drydown the same? Is the projection longevity the same? Which is the best considering its price, bottle size and performance?

 | I'm sure I over watered this guy. I'm new to lithops (and caring for any plants in general) and I don't know if I can save it. I have two other lithops and they are doing OK, but this guy ended up being over watered somehow. I repotted all of them maybe 2-3 weeks ago with a succulent mix, mainly because my sister believed it was overwatered and might have had root rot (it didn't, but we had to make sure). I tried my best to not give this one as much water as the others, but when I looked today, it was very mushy, sad, and the soil was soaked. Is there any possibility I can save it??? I give a bit of water every Sunday, if I should change my watering habits, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I really know why people not like liking Jela. She definitely has her moments where it’s like Jela please but I don’t not like her.
