My first build in a long time! I'm looking for practical advice and opinions about aesthetics when it comes to nailing down a case and fans! I've spent way too long over analysing everything and want to get this resolved in my head so I can purchase the final couple remaining components and get building. For the larger context, I've provided the specs of my target build below which I've already started buying components for:
Specs:
CPU: 9800x3d (Acquired)
MB: Asus ROG STRIX B850-F GAMING WIFI AM5 DDR5 ATX Motherboard (Aquired)
GPU: 5070 TI target in a couple of months pending benchmark data but currently have a 3070TI
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
COOLER: Arctic Liquid Freezer III
Option 1: Fractal Design North (Black) XL. Artic PG14 fans. Probably no RGB.

Option 3: Lian Li EVO XL (Black) with x10 Artic PG14 fans (RGB)
Help me decide which path to take! Some points in my mind:
Option 1: I've never had a timber case before. I think it looks slick but I'm unsure about aesthetics overall compared to Lain Li EVO....A big advantage of this option is the thermals on this case are excellent above almost all other cases and the side panel can be switched out for mesh which makes a huge difference if I want to further bring temps down. I'm comfortable that this option would generate the least amount of noise from fans.
- Option 2: Lian Li V2 fans are OK performance wise but some noise and reliability with the first iteration of this fan has me concerned that option 2 would generate a lot of noise. V2 fans aren't as good performance or noise-wise as Artic.
- Option 3: Artic fans are excellent performance and noise wise, but RGB diffused across the blades x10 could be a bit overbearing. I like option 2 fans better for the subtle light.
I think that cooler doesn't always mean better for non-overclocked general gaming use - there is a point where cool enough is probably fine. And I think option 2 would be fine judging from other builds I've seen online. But I still can't get past maybe going down option 1 for practical cooling and noise reasons regardless....still torn though.
All perspectives/opinions are welcome. Help me decide.

2025.01.18 06:59 Zytec_1 Can we stop the Banshee slander?
I just saw two videos calling Banshee the worst frame in the game when frames like Oberon exist. They actually addressed it and said Oberons status immunity makes him better than Banshee. This is actually absurd because she is one of the BEST weapon platforms and anyone who builds her correctly knows this.
Abilities I see many people say shes bad because only half her kit is any good, but that half of her kit is busted. People are underestimating or just ignorant on how Sonar works. Having a x170 damage multiplier with minimal effort is genuinely insane. On top of that the whole team can use it. It just takes three casts of sonar with resonance to make every enemy a phone number generator for the next minute. You don’t have to aim specifically for them and your whole team can take advantage of it. Next is silence, an ability that shuts down acolytes and eximus units, giving a minimal stun as a bonus. Add stretch and you don’t have to worry about arson heat waves touching ever again. Her one is okay in niche uses like disruption and the armor strip augment is bad because it takes up a mod slot and is redundant on top of sonar. Quake is just bad so it’s helminth fodder.
Survivability Dude just hit a sonar to shield gate. If you really cant deal with that just subsume gloom and turn your brain off. People are acting like helminth isn’t a thing and we’re stuck in 2016.
Playstyle Another complaint I see is people calling her niche or just a sonar slave. Her sonar only doesn’t work on certain bosses or nullifiers, so that just leaves the other 99% of content. You’re also not supposed to camp with her, you should be running around room to room clearing enemies. Enemies get in your range, stunned for a second for you to turn them into numbers, rinse and repeat. Thats why her silence doesn’t turn enemies into geriatrics like some people want, its to promote less braindead play.
Conclusion She doesn’t need a buff and is far from the worst frame. She provides insane offensive ability with little to no set up. No need to prime, no need to group, and works with every weapon(not stug). I’d personally put her low A high B. She could use a rework or a QoL buff making her abilities a faster cast or one handed but there are at least 5 frames that need it more in this meta.

We all have our guilty pleasures. Inexplicable fascinations that can absorb us for hours or even years. For teenagers born in the 90s like me, it's often TV series, music, books, celebrities and other inexhaustible sources of conversation between girlfriends.
As far as I'm concerned, my vice is weird, strange, evil and unseemly. As I've grown up, cinema has allowed me to normalize it somewhat, and it's become a topic of conversation with certain people, while remaining abstract enough not to arouse suspicion.
Series like "Dexter" served as a cover for my fascination with the sight of blood. If I'd been a man, this addiction would have been more difficult to hide, if you know what I mean... The pleasure I felt seeing those bright red beads dripping is as hard to describe as it is to satisfy.
As a teenager, I used to scarify myself, as many others do, but not for the pain it causes, simply for the fine burgundy thread my act provokes. I didn't want it to be visible, so I came up with a few tricks.
Don't ask me how I came up with the idea, but one day, alone in my bedroom, I took a small pocket mirror, some scissors and cut off one of my taste buds. The discomfort was paltry compared to the pleasure that overtook me. The metallic taste engulfed my mouth and I wondered, aghast and happy, how a single papilla could bleed so much. I think the fact that no one could suspect my secret made it all the more important and satisfying.
As I got older, this bloodthirsty need was satisfied by countless horror films and creepy "American Horror Story" series. Until the day when, in a hurry to get to work, I cut the right-of-way and a car crashed into me. Nothing serious, the driver of the other car only had a shallow gash on his forehead, but seeing that wound start to bleed made me realize that I was the one who had caused that hemoglobin to appear. All my adolescent emotions came flooding back and that wave of pleasure I'd once felt washed over me again.

Trying to get Prison Architect installed, but each time I try to use the installer, Stops at 0.3% Immedieately fails and gives me the error code listed above
My antivirus is fully off, and I tried reinstalling the torrent file and verified the bin(bin files say they are good). Any advice?

I have the idea to use hyper color model paint for my Eldar but I am afraid if I varnish it to protect the paint, it will look weird and the hyper color won't work anymore.

I'm a 16 year old female I turn 17 and graduate high school this spring. Ideally I would ship to bootcamp around June/July (I know that isn't in my control that is just my ideal time frame). I'm going to list my question at the botten for simplicity. For a little context what I'm already doing I started running recently, have a job were i walk 2-4 miles a day, go to jiu-jitsu twice a week, and have an ASVAB prep book that I'm going to start studying when it gets closer to my birthday.
Now my questions
- When should I start talking to a recruiter? (How soon can I because I'm only 16? Does that change how it would go?)
- Is there anything else I can do to prepare? (That I'm not already doing.)
- I don't have any medical history (I have been in for one singular check up a couple year ago and that is it.) but would my lack of vaccines, not medicaly treated scars (a small scar above my eyebrow is by far the most noticeable.) extra cause any problems?
- I know for sure my dad would sign for me to join my mom i think I can convince her but do I actually need both of them to sign?
- I'm debating what mos I want but I'm leaning toward infantry ( if i don't stay in the military I want to go first responder and that I think would give me the most cross over skills.) Any suggestions, advice, or even just what being an infantry marine looks like?

Also into sci-fi movies/TV, and a bit of gaming now and then too, so I’d consider myself a bit of a nerd. I’m a very chill person - I’ll happily talk about anything and everything, and I’m very non-judgemental too. Love languages are Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation and Acts of Service.
I’m into the outdoors, I love doing stuff in the garden, or heading to the beach, but I am also just as happy chilling on the couch watching movies, or my guilty pleasure, Below Deck😅 - all time favourite has gotta be The Office (US). But I’d also class myself as slightly introverted - unless I know you, then it’s the opposite. My 30’s hit me like a freight train - going out means either being tired or a 3 days hangover… and nobody needs that!
