Hello everyone!
I (23F) finished my post-graduation in July 2024 and have moved back home in October. Moving back home has been especially hard because I don't get along with my parents very much (was especially my dad). I'm currently preparing for an exam and it has added to my anxiety. This exam is my only way out of this house but I'm also extremely overwhelmed and underconfident. My parents just talk about my exam and my dad tries to keep tabs of what I'm doing throughout the day. Something that particularly bothers me is that they try to control everything that I do. For example, I try going on walks but I'm not allowed to go out alone. Whenever I try going out with my friends, they keep calling me about when I will come back. I have very few friends in my hometown already but I'm not allowed to hang out with them frequently.
My partner lives in a different city and we are doing LDR and here again it becomes extremely difficult for me talk to them because my parents keep trying to overhear. It just hurts a lot. I get very anxious on days and I become super unproductive as a result. I know I cannot afford to be unproductive rn but I cannot bring myself to study if I start feeling anxious. I do not like lying to my parents either. I don't know if it will help if I tell them about my partner. Probably not.
I'm just scared that if I do not clear this exam, I'll be stuck here. I'll probably be the reason of damaging my relationship.

Hi! So I'm 17 and my school is doing this Paris trip for students in highschool french and I am really excited and would LOVE to go. Problem is, I have a slightly weak passport, an Indian passport. I live in Japan on a dependant visa (we have lived here for ten+ years so we are working towards getting a permanent visa), we have a steady income and it is a school program that is only about one week-ish?
As I mentioned, I have an indian passport and we are still a months away from getting a permanent visa and have been rejected for a Canadian visa back in 2022. I worry that if I get rejected, not only will i not be able to go, but have also heard that if you get rejected too many times, that it will be hard to apply for other visas and I do plan on getting out of Japan for university next year. So are my chances at getting this visa too low? Because if they are, then I think I should wait a few more years to go.

Usually nostalgia is associated with happy emotions but I feel like it’s the exact opposite for me. Whenever I recall a sentimental memory, I kind of get stuck in this loop of wishing I could go back. Part of it is just wishing I could do things differently, react in a different way to things and whatnot but I think it’s also just a fear of growing older. To be honest I don’t really know how to put these feelings into words but they affect me enough to the point where I stay up all night in my head.
