This anniversary rewatch will run daily until February 18, the 10-year anniversary of the Mentalist's series finale.
SPOILER WARNING: Since this is a rewatch, it's assumed that anyone in these discussions has already seen the entire show, so all spoilers are allowed.
Day 117 brings us to "Black-Winged Redbird," which brings us another episode closer to the Red John conclusion. The episode begins with a man leaving a restaurant. He is pulled over by a patrol car, and he begins freaking out. He speeds off, and the officer watches in shock as the man's car explodes in the middle of the street. The scene cuts to Bertram arriving at the house Lisbon was at. An officer says that when they arrived, Partridge was DOA and Lisbon was down. As they wheel Lisbon out, Jane yells for a bottle of water, desperate to wipe the dried blood off her face. He cleans her up in the ambulance, frowning with worry as he does it.
Title relevance: The "black-winged redbird" refers to the special drone the investigation leads them to.

Notable scenes: - In the hospital, Lisbon has a nightmare about coming back to work and finding the Red John suspects in the bullpen with Red John smilies painted everywhere, and Grace, Cho, Rigsby, and Jane all lying dead. She wakes up, and Jane is there, telling her she's safe. (Be still, my Jisbon heart!) While they're grateful, Lisbon is confused, and she tells Jane he was right about the traces. She digs in about Red John being psychic again, leading Jane to want to discover the trick behind his happy memory erasure. - Cho is in charge of the car explosion case while Lisbon is out. Bertram questions Jane about why Lisbon was there, then insists that when he catches Red John, he be there. - Rigsby tells Cho that he thinks it's Bertram while Cho says he thinks it's Stiles but agrees that it could be Bertram. Not knowing when to quit, Rigsby revels in the fact that Cho is agreeing with him. At the scene, they figure out the car may have been taken out by a drone. - Jane makes a call to Sophie Miller, but she doesn't answer. Cho tries to get Jane on the case, and he doesn't seem interested until Cho tells him there are drones involved. He goes to Modern Aerodynamics with Cho to speak to Titus Stone's coworkers. They learn about Project Redbird for the military. - Haffner visits Lisbon in the hospital, unnerving her. Lisbon insists she has to get out of the hospital. She heads back to the office and tells Grace to take the surveillance down. Jane is out tracking down Sophie. - Rigsby talks to an escort who describes what Titus wanted from her, which was roleplay. She mentioned he was sad and wanted cuddling. - Lisbon calls Jane as he gets to Sophie's house, and she figures out that Red John must have learned about Lili Turner from her. He breaks in and snoops around. In the kitchen, he sees a sticky note that says "Dinner's in the oven 🙂" and is shocked to discover Sophie's head in the oven. - Grace comes to Lisbon to tell her that while she was taking down the surveillance, she noticed that three of the suspects were at the CBI talking outside Bertram's office. Jane rushes back and barges into the meeting. Bertram tells him they're discussing a joint anti-narcotics effort. Jane tells Bertram in front of them about Sophie's death. He says Red John is desperate and a little crazy, and he made a mistake, but he withholds what that is and leaves. Reede asks Bertram how much Jane knows (presumably about the TBA.) -Cho learns there was a coverup after a test of the Redbird led to the death of civilians. Jane asks for the autopsy report and what he said for dinner. He uses this to determine that Stone was suicidal and killed himself with the drone, distraught over the Redbird coverup and his love for his coworker. - They send Rigsby to search Sophie's house to look for Red John's patient files, thinking that he must have gotten to her undercover somehow. He reveals that Sophie took audio notes, not written notes. They get her notes from a transcription service and listen to some clues: He's an excellent whistler, has good posture, is well-spoken. He was seeing her for phobia issues.

Hey, everybody. First of all, I want soooo badly for this community to be alive and thriving because this movie is such a unique and outstanding piece of art and it truly deserves the biggest cult following on earth. I feel like I could talk endlessly about every little scene and every little character of this masterpiece (but it's a bit difficult for me, to be honest, 'cause English is not my native language). "Dinner in America" does something to me like no other movie has done in DECADES, I'm not exaggerating. I'm addicted to it as f*ck.
And this one question is really bothering me. How serious could Simon's charges be? I mean, dude is a drug dealer who "likes to burn sh*t" and assaults people. I really want to believe his separation from Patty isn't for very long, but it seems like he could spend YEARS in prison, and his overall attitude could hardly be helpful for an early parole. So, if you think about it this is kind of a downer ending for a "feel-good" movie 'cause our hero will probably spend a large portion of his life behind the bars.
Please tell me he's out of prison now and happily married to Patty with five kids, two dogs and three cats making punk rock and having fun adventures with Patty. Thanks.

My employer is petitioning for my NIW case. I’m an SDE I, with a masters in CS, 3 publications, 62 citations. My proposed endeavor has to be something that goes beyond my employer. But at the same time it has to be something my manager is happy with supporting given my current status as a lowly SDE I lol. I was thinking something along the lines of a significant contribution to an open source framework that would benefit not just my employer but also my industry at large.
Anyone in my boat and got approved? What was your proposed endeavor? Any thoughts anyone?

So I am soon to be in a place where moving things to an LLC makes sense, and as time goes on things will get more complicated, so I'm looking to start things in a way that will be feasible going forward.
A little background - I'm in the military and primarily have W2 income from that. But also do employment outside the military with 1099 income and will own 1 rental property with a plan to keep houses everytime I move (3-4 years) to rent.
As of now I plan to set up 2 LLCs - 1 for my 1099 income, and 1 for my rental property. As I get more rental properties I would potentially set up more LLCs.
Does anyone have any banking recommendations that would allow me to manage multiple LLCs with one login? Understand they have to be different accounts. I've looked into Mercury/Relay but see a lot of negatives and understand that they aren't really banks. Bank of America / Chase come up a lot too - would they allow multiple LLCs on the same account?
I'm also considering a virtual address. One that automatically forwards mail so I don't have to worry about changing the registered address everytime we move. Is this a good option? Any recommendations for services? Presumably the state wouldn't matter - even if it's a Florida address for example I imagine I still pay taxes for the state the property is in for example.
Are there other things I should consider doing? I'm looking to start in a way that is going to be scalable and repeatable without making my life more complicated everytime I need to change something.

My old iphone 7 got recently stolen or lost (most definitely stolen) a few hours ago and I tried to use the "find my device" on apple, but sadly the feature is off on my phone. I had no idea it was off in the first place because I used it to locate it back then when I lost it in the house. Anyway, I have a very strong password and all my accounts have two factor authentication but i'm still skeptical that my data might get stolen or leaked. pls help.

Currently going through it. FA couldn't verify two of my previous employers and somehow only found a recent seasonal stint for one instead of the longer one from 7 years ago.
Tentative new company's HR asked for W2s, gave them no problem.
Now they're coming back asking for offer letter and final pay stubs for all my previous and current employer???
Who keeps pay stubs from a job they had 7 years ago? Certainly they have to know what kind of an insane ask that is.
I gave the W2s. Why did they ask for them and then turn around and ask for offer letter and pay stubs?
I politely declined saying I didn't have those documents (true, bc who would?) and felt my W2s were sufficient.

Hey! I’m Zee. I’m basically a depressed, sarcastic mess, so you probably shouldn’t bother unless you tend to fetishize scrawny, long-haired jerks in skinny jeans and biker jackets. Jokes aside, I’m NOT looking for anyone who’s overly cheerful, down-to-earth and easy-going. I’m only drawn to complicated, deeply emotional people that share my fascination with the darker side of life. I know it sounds bad, but honesty means everything to me and we don’t get to choose who we are, after all.
I’d say my biggest issue is that I rarely (if ever) get what I want from people on the emotional level. I can’t stand things being shallow and superficial. Having a chance to explore the deepest corners of our minds through long, intimate conversations is what really matters to me. I’m a bit bipolar in a way that you’ll be overwhelmed with baby talk, cuddles and eskimo kisses, but at the same time there’s also sheer darkness in me that lusts for obsession and toxicity.
I’m hoping to meet a deeply intelligent and romantic person, yet one who’s prone to unhealthy traits and severe emotional outbursts. Someone who’s extremely picky about people they let into their lives and thus has stayed single for years or even decades, but if or when they actually do, they’re loyal to a fault, love and trust unconditionally and would never settle for anything less than ‘til death do us part.
Now, to the basic stuff.
In case it wasn’t obvious already, I’m a homebody and a loner, so my hobbies pretty much come down to things like music, movies / TV shows and video games. I love anything horror, both classic and modern stuff, as well as quality cinema in general. Robert Eggers and Paul Thomas Anderson are amongst my favorite filmmakers. I mostly listen to melancholic indie bands like the National and Radiohead, but there’s a special place in my heart for early Norwegian black and gothic metal, like Burzum, Darkthrone and Tristania <3
I’m 5’11” / 180 cm, Caucasian. I don’t smoke or drink. My ideal match: Caucasian, never married, no kids, but wants at least one. Couldn’t care less about things like height, weight, etc. Anyway, if you relate to some, let alone most of the things I mentioned, please message me and let me know you exist. Hello !! I am experiencing the last 3-4 weeks symptoms only from one side. Out of a sudden I noticed a light pressure in my nose (from inside to outside), sometimes a lightly pressure on the left ear. Then I had post nasal drainage noticed especially from the left side and minimal nasal drainage with clear and white and cloudy mucous. Also (maybe from the mucous and sinusitis i Hear my voice coming from the left nostril different than in the right )
As a chronic patient I have - deviated septum - allergic rhinitis - hypertrophic turbinates So I do nasal rinses two- three times per day plus Flixonase (cortisone nasal spray) and taking antihistamine pill Bilaz. I feel these don't do anything because it's likely inside from the sinus.
I am freaked out because is uniteral only. Have any of you experienced same symptoms ?
