2025.01.18 12:11 MrKeyXY North XL build - Fron cover issue
Hi,
yesterday I assembled a computer for the first time in a long time. As it will be the last one for the time being, high-quality equipment and quiet operation were very important to me.
I therefore decided in favour of the Fractal North XL, with corresponding Noctua fans. At the front of the case, I replaced the three fans supplied with three Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 fans. I used the NA-AV2 for mounting to minimise the noise level.
In principle everything worked fine, but when mounted they are thicker than the standard fans and therefore the cover no longer closes properly. I've already read a few threads with a similar problem, but unfortunately the solution was never explained properly.
Sometimes I've seen people screwing the fans on from the inside, but I actually think it's nicer this way and the volume was fine in the first test.
I can only imagine that people without problems have removed the NA-AVP1-LR on the inside and replaced it with normal pads without a ring. Then you would gain some space. However, my understanding of the instructions is that pads with a ring should always be used on the outlet side.
I would be delighted if someone could tell me how to do it properly. Especially as there are so many builds that don't have this problem.

I don't know why but I feel so guilty for not liking kids. I never really wanted to have kids, not even when I was a kid myself. I would prefer Barbies and Bratz to baby dolls and never understood why girls liked to play "family". I thought it was a phase but the older I am the more I realize that I don't see myself having a child. I thought I would develop a maternal instinct by now but no. I have a niece and a nephew (both toddlers)and no matter how hard I try I just DON'T want to play with them, babysit them or care for them. Of course I love them, but I couldn't spend more than 15 minutes around them to be honest. Each time they come over for the night my mood drops immediately because I hate the noise, hate having no personal space and having to deal with their breakdowns sometimes. But I also feel so so guilty, they're just little humans after all, just like I was at some point, so why am I so annoyed by them? I have no desire to give birth and raise a child, not because " I hate kids" but because I know I won't be able to raise them properly cuz I know how hard it is, mentally and financially, especially in our age. Raising a good member of society requires so much work and I feel like I won't be able to. I guess I don't feel mentally stable enough to raise a mentally healthy human being. When someone in my family talks about me having a kid one day it just sounds surreal to me, as if they're talking about me being a billionaire in 2 years, you know? I never tell them I'm not planning on having kids because feel like that's what they expect from me, whether I like it or not. Especially because in my culture, if you're a woman you're just bound to have a kid one day, unless you're infertile. Not gonna lie, sometimes I hope I'm actually infertile to have a proper excuse to not have kids.
But why does all of this make me feel so guilty? I feel like I'm broken and not supposed to be like this.

Hey, guys! So my third torch in the collection (and third within what? A week? Lol) have arrived. It is a Convoy S2+ 265nm UV light with the short tube. With the filter, clearly. Size comparison against a 21700 battery I bought to go with my incoming D7K. I was quite entertained by how small it looks and feels and, obviously, already went through scanning the whole house under UV. Yep, that includes the bathroom. Needless to say I spent the last couple hours cleaning it.
It was pretty cool also that the short tube fits perfectly my Wurkkos FC11C. Once again, comparing the size against a 21700 battery (sorry, I really like this sort of size comparison against things that might be common to anyone have at hand... Not that a lot of people outside of this hobby own a 21700 battery, but you got the gist).
Anyway, I was also meaning to ask you much more knowledgeable guys and gals, what is the battery adaptor I can buy from AliExpress to use these dummy torches that came carrying the extra batteries? I know they're probably kinda crappy, but I hate electronics waste and I could give it as a toy to someone... It has a weird gimmicky zoom function that feels as flimsy as it sounds lol. Anyway, it's internal dimensions are 27mm diameter X around 60mm length with uncompressed springs. At first, feels the right size for a 26650 battery, but I feel I might fry the circuits if I put something that deploys current too fast. Anyway, any suggestions?

I(23f) was in a 3 yrs relationship (2ldr) with my bf(23m). For the first 1 yr of Idr, he proposed for an open relationship. I denied but he kept on pestering. Afterwards I did give it a try and had a ons on a bumble date. Later, when we discussed this, he got uncomfortable and started vomiting saying he loves me and he didnjot expect me to go through with the ons. We closed the relationship again. Everything was fine for a while but this open relationship issue kept coming up. In the last 6 months this is all we would talk about. He didn't even know what my other problems were like.
Also, throughout the Idr, he was always busy. He is in another country pursuing a master's in computer science. He kept himself busy so bad that we would not talk for 2 days if I didn't text him first. At the end. I just couldn't take it anymore and asked if we could open the relationship. That is how I met M(23m) my office colleague. He is an ex to my ex-roommate. My ex-roommate cheated on him with 2 guys simultaneously. We initially bonded to bitch over the roommate but ended up being fwb since I was in a open relationship. I didn't realise I was emotionally dumping in him. Today, during a call with my bf, I got to know he lost his part time job(there was news of this 3-4 days ago which I didn't know about(and he deleted his insta 2-3 days ago. (We mainly talk through insta). Indint know what happened, but it was like a switch and I broke up with him saying he doesn't share stuff with me anymore.
So AITA for breaking up with my boyfriend after blindsiding him.
Edit: Maybe this is post was a bit one sided..but we have really been through a lot together. We graduated together, struggled when he didn't get his college admits, he was there when I had anxiety attacks. We really have been through happiness and deaths in these 2 yrs. I wouldn't be having a job if he didn't motivate me. And similarly he wouldn't have a college admit of I didnt support him when he was down..

 | Hello dear community, I’d like to share a knife I just finished. The blade is made of 65G leave steel (equivalent to 1566). Its dimensions are 290 mm in length, 6 mm thick, and 20 mm wide. The handle is made from an old piece of micarta (Soviet-style technical micarta or textolite) and mounted full-tang with screws, no epoxy used. I made it like these because I believe it’s practical for military use—handle can be replaced easily, and it’s cost-effective to produce. For finishing, I etched the blade with ferric chloride and treated it with Birchwood Super Blue. The final sharpening will be done according to the customer’s preferences.
